Another DELICIOUS experience at Sushi Storm! This time I had their shrimp "blankets" ...full size shrimp wrapped in a "blanket" of won-ton-type coating and fried to perfection. Served with a delicious dipping sauce I've be met had before...but so good!! Then I had their seafood soup which had a delicious broth with shrimp, scallops, calamari, sprouts, scallions and spice....just the way I like it and delicious noodles. YUMMM!! Really enjoy this place! It's got a good mix of Japanese and Thai options. I do think they actually do a better job with their Thai, even though the restaurant is named "sushi storm." I got the pad woon sen (glass noodles stir fried) which is pretty excellent. A lot of good flavor and a nice size portion! I tried my husband's shrimp shumai, and it was pretty yummy too! I didn't get it on this past trip, but I do like that they serve Thai tea and Thai coffee. I'll have to go back and try those some time. This is conveniently located off of highway 50 next to Publix. A lot of people also go here for their takeout option. We have a few good sushi places in town, but if you're looking for a Thai fix, this is a solid choice! Sushi storm is nothing of a spectacular Ilk but it would still surprise you as a hole next to Publix. It is a chill atmosphere with attentive staff. I would say as a fan of octopus I was disappointed in the slivers but it was tasty. It wasn't till I mixed the octo with the other ingredients that the wasabi really kicked me in the teeth. The miso was as expected and the seaweed salad was good, but they are wasting money by putting iceberg underneath...totally not needed. They don't have a full bar but if you want wine you're good to go. Major plus is that they are a Thai mix. I cannot speak to how good their Thai is as I have yet to try their curry. Great that it is an option though. So much that looks good on the menu but only one tummy to satiate. I will try them again some day. While I did not add to my original review, their crab Rangoon has a lot more of a full filling meaty cheesy combo than most places for a fair price of like 6 bucks. Most others just fill with cream cheese. Yes it may be imitation crab but still a much nicer texture and flavor. I'm not as familiar with the tan sauce that comes with it as it was under the Thai part of the menu. Not as sweet but still good. read more

Sup my peeps! So I've lived in the area for many years and have never given Sushi Storm a chance. Today I was nearby during lunch, in the mood for Thai aaaand after reading some good reviews on the app that helps everyone...you know the one, that's right I checked it out. Thank you fellow Yelpers for your input because You allowed me to have a great lunch experience. And thank you Sushi Storm!! It's located in a Publix Plaza shopping mall off of CR455 and 50. Walk inside and it has a good ambiance. The host greeted me. I was the first customer of the day so I sat down quickly. My Chicken Thai Basil order was taken and In just a few minutes a quite Delilah noodle soup with a spring roll was brought to the table. Good presentation and it tasted even better! The main course came out soon thereafter. I took one taste and was in Like from the moment I took one bite. The fresh deep spicy flavors were just delightful. My boyfriend and I made a pit stop to quench our thirst after a long, hot afternoon at the Southern Hills Farm Fall Festival. I initially was thrilled to find that there is a place that sells boba in Clermont. We ordered a coconut boba and a taro boba. Although, the drinks themselves were tasty the boba was not. The boba (tapioca) balls were not correctly cooked and some were still hard, kind of like al dente pasta. Since it was still Happy Hour (3:30-6 pm) we also ordered two appetizers for $8. Honestly, they were less than ok. The krab rangoons (yes, it was with imitation crab) was mostly filled with just a little krab and very little cream cheese and the vegetable egg rolls tasted like they were store bought frozen items. Neither was very appetizing. We weren't very hungry or impressed so we didn't try the sushi which is one of the focal points of this restaurant. The menu showed very appealing pictures of the sushi, so it could be good? We may never know.... The restaurant was clean and quiet and the service was good. They were attentive but the food we had just didn't deliver so with great disappointment I will rate this establishment 2 stars because of the poor quality of the food which I found to be overpriced. I might try the sushi or Thai food sometime if I get hungry after an Orangetheory class (it's in the same shopping plaza) or if I am desperate for an Asian tropical fruit smoothie without the boba. The food is not bad, I'm being honest. Issue was, we ordered to go and they never mentioned they would close for lunch from 3 to 4pm. Order was placed at 2:48pm. Nothing was mentioned to us. Then we got to the place,door was locked and they were inside but no one answered us. We had to wait until 4pm. Our food was sitting there for one hour u til they open the place. It was as simple as telling us, the order will be placed at 3:40 because we open at 4pm. We confronted the lady she acted like she doesn't owe us an explanation. Just asked if we still any the food, then went ahead and lied to us telling us they waited until 3:30 not knowing we were parked right in front of the place. The luncheon entrees were under seasoned. The soup was properly seasoned, the entrees were hot, and the spring rolls were tasty. It took way too long to get two takeout orders (over 30 minutes). The restaurant was understaffed (eight four tops occupied) with only one server plus the host filling in to take/deliver orders as well as bus tables. The sushi chef handled that function and nothing else. Filled takeaway orders were placed into a countertop with no provision to keep hot or cold -- some sat there for 15-25 minutes. Four people came to pickup takeaway orders while I was there -- two has to wait 30 minutes while others were quickly handled. The staff did the best they could and were in constant motion fulfilling orders, but there were just not enough to handle the process effectively. read more

We found this place when our favorite thai place was closed on an odd day. This place will not replace our usual place but it was an acceptable alternative. The host at the front was a young girl who was friendly but had no idea what she was doing. She must have been new to the whole restaurant business thing. This place has lots of tvs which I found distracting. It's not supposed to be a sports bar but they seemed to be catering to that. Maybe the locals like it but I thought it didn't belong. The chicken fried rice was ok. It was fresh and moist but lacked little veggie pieces I'm used to seeing. Not a big variety in it. I tried a curry and the sauce was thick and a good flavor but I found the portion size to be on the small side. Also there were hardly any peppers etc in it. Mainly just the meat. Many things have an up charge which is annoying. The menu seems a little overpriced for what you get. Service was just ok. We saw staff on occasion and there were a few times they were gone for a while and the place wasn't busy at all. This place will remain one of our back up places so we might be back.
