    Sizzle Soul Roll

What a fantastic hidden little gem in beautiful downtown Winter Garden! I've driven all over the city for Sushi and I didn't realize that I had fantastic sushi that was close to home. My son was home from college and he is my Sushi buddy and I have been wanting to check this place out. The rolls were fantastic and very filling. We ordered three in total. The ISG roll was by far the best. All of them were really good, but this was a stand out! Cucumber salad, refreshing, and amazing, the miso soup was also fantastic. This is a staple and you've probably had it at 1000 different restaurants, if you enjoy it, you should definitely give this a try because it was at the upper end of those that I've had. Service was wonderful and amazing, friendly and quick This is a small restaurant and I could see this getting packed around dinner time. This place is not to be missed. Make sure and check it out if you like sushi!

I really wanted to like this place - but it just didn't hit the mark for me. The service was slow, rolls were oddly ice cold and lukewarm in spots, and the flavor was just a little off with each bite. The ambiance is beautiful and the restaurant has potential, but at those prices, I'd rather go to Kabooki or Seito.

We stepped in to this restaurant just off the Main Street of downtown to see this beautiful Japanese decor. The booths are a little hard to get into. The chairs move and the tables have big legs that get in the way. However, once our food started to arrive we knew we had found a great new sushi restaurant. I love when restaurants have originality and we started with these salmon covered brie cheese that were so unique. I was not a fan of the consistency of warm brie and cold salmon but my partner loved it. We also had a spicy tuna roll that was full of tuna. Our last item was a summer roll. I highly recommend ordering this item. The flavors of mango and asparagus were so good. My only concern was the soy sauce. It does not put out very easily so easy to make a mess. Make sure to try out this sushi location. Winter Garden has become heavy in great sushi and this is one of the shining stars.

The server was really attentive and friendly. The ambiance is so nice and perfect for dates. The miso, truffle butter edamame and shrimp tempura were yummy.

Chili day in and sushi became the food of choice for some reason. I heard about this place from a last week so it was good time to check it out. We were very pleased with the wonderful atmosphere which was very tastefully done. Had my tea which is always a must along with edamame. We had three rolls which were very tasty and it was not to long of a wait. Service was friendly and helpful and took great care of us. Overall good atmosphere, good service, and good food. Make sure to go check them out in Winter Garden.

Went there for an impromptu date with the hubby due to sushi cravings. Service was wonderful, ambience perfect for a date, and the food was delicious. Will definitely return to try the other dishes.

Dinner | $20-30 Went here today after spending the day in winter garden with my daughter and honestly it was delicious. My daughter loves sushi as do I so we had a pretty high bar to meet but I thoroughly enjoyed the food, ambiance and the service. The miso soup was really flavorful and haru maki was crispy and the flavors were comforting! We got the ocean wrap roll and the California roll (I know it's basic but there was no salmon roll for my 5 year old!). The presentation was so beautiful and the fish in the ocean roll was so fresh and colorful. I truly wish there was an option to get a salmon roll already on the menu without cream cheese in it. I noticed all of the salmon centered rolls had cream cheese and I'm not a fan. I prefer a more traditional Japanese approach to sushi! But we finished with the molten lava cake and we loved it! I'll definitely be back to try more things on the menu! Thank you to my wonderful waitress I forgot her

We weren't planning to come to SoulShi for dinner, but when our other plans fell through and we still wanted to get Sushi, this was the next closest option. Turns out, we lucked out. We both had a glass of wine and ordered the 7 piece Omakase Nigiri and Salmon Wrapped Rolls Special Course. The chefs made 14 pieces of what they wanted to make, which was awesome. It allowed us to try parts of 14 unique pieces rather than just have 7 of the same each. Service was quick and awesome! The large tip was well deserved, but it wasn't crazy to tip so much because we would have to expected to spend a LOT more on this high level of sushi. We will definitely be back soon!

We've been so excited to have a new and yummy sushi spot in Winter Garden! Our first visit definitely didn't disappoint. The sushi was delicious and my husband loved his chicken stir fry. The ambiance is nice even with it being a pretty small space. The staff were kind and attentive. We will definitely be back!

Cute date night excursion. I heard about this place and wanted to explore and it was packed. The wait wasn't bad, especially since you can walk around downtown winter garden. The decor inside is really sleek. We started with the honey salmon and salmon crunch souljoys. The brie in the honey salmon didn't thrill me, but the salmon crunch was good. We also had the truffle crunch and shrimp tempura rolls. They were really good, a lot of flavor. We added a yakimeshi, and it was ok. It was a light fried rice but didn't have the Japanese fried rice flavor to me. It was almost a Chinese fried rice taste, and I didn't see any shrimp. My husband said yum yum sauce would've made it better for him. All in all, we will be back to try more sushi.

They have various dishes for the sushi and non sushi lovers!

Soulshi has only been open 4 months in Winter Garden but they have a great staff that makes you feel right at home with a beautiful ambience! The dishes I got to try I throughly enjoyed! My favorite was their salmon souljoy with Brie and honey, followed by their sleeping dragon roll! They also have options like filet mignon for those in the party that don't care for seafood or sushi, so there is something for everyone!

Had a spicy yellowtail hand roll. It was really good and spicy. Loved it. The place is clean and the staff were nice.

We were greeted by a waiter holding the door open for us. When we entered, I was taken aback by the upscale decor. The staff immediately seated us, and Anna came up to bring water and give us recommendations on the menu. Another staff member (I failed to catch his name unfortunately) also gave us great suggestions and information on the restaurant. They were both very knowledgeable of the menu and even where the ingredients were sourced. They were both outstanding. We got the truffle edamame (outstanding), the Mucca di Mare appetizer (unexpectedly perfect, no sauce, wasabi, or ginger needed), the Ceviche roll (so fresh and bright) and the Ultimate Salmon roll (salmon, prosciutto, brie cheese, and more?! Count me in!) The fish was so fresh, it had no fish flavor or scent at all. It was perfect. The rolls were innovative and balanced in flavor. I have no feedback other than these were possibly the best rolls I've had in the Orlando area. We also had the Alaska Cake for dessert. It was very light and refreshing. It wasn't overwhelming or huge. It was the perfect end to a meal. And for my birthday, they even put a candle in it for me! Their birthday surprise was also unexpected and a delight. I can't wait to come back to try more of the menu!

It's definitely one of the more affordable omakase options I've found and I'd come back and do it all over again. Here are some of my favorites in case you just want to try a few à la carte pieces. 1. Kinmedai with tomato powder and yuzu kosho - this was rich, buttery, and full of umami contrasted with tomato powder and yuzu for a nice bright lift. 2. Tachiou with green chili crisp was slightly torched so it had that nice smokiness and a little rendered skin fat while the rest was super tender. I think this is the first time I've had this dish and will be looking out for it now. 3. King Salmon with truffle cream and miso sauce was so ridiculously delicious, rich, buttery, melt in your mouth goodness. 4. Hotate with spicy tobanjan aioli was smoky, sweet, spicy, and oh so creamy. 5. Uni from Japan was perfectly briny, sweet, and creamy. If you're an uni lover this is for you. If you tried it before and didn't like it, try it again here. Honorable mention for the spicy tuna maki. It's probably the best I've had. Seasoned with togarashi, I assume a little kewpie mayo, maybe green onion, and some pickled daikon. Perfect heat, fresh, and a nice crunch and lift from the pickled daikon. They have set seating times and limited counter seats so be sure to make a reservation. They're very welcoming and friendly. The vibe is casual, which I love -- just come as you are.

The booth we sat in had a beautiful and asymmetrical heavy wooden table top polished to a brilliant shine, and there were a surprising number of diners there at noonish, on a Tuesday... what's that tell you? Now: the food! *First, for the technically challenged, be warned that the menu is available via phone and QR Code. If you want a printed menu, too bad. Otherwise... We began our meal with Agedashi Tofu, which is fried cubes of tofu that have a magnificently thin layer of a crisp skin encasing melted tofu, and there's a perfect sauce to dip them in. I have been thinking about these for an hour now and can't even imagine how they are made. A delicious magic trick! Next, we had an Eel and Shrimp Tempura Roll, a Shrimp Tempura Bento Box, and two Nigiri and Sashimi lunch specials. The Tempura was light and crisp. The bento box included a spring roll, fried rice, and gyoza, all perfectly flavored. The Nigiri and Sashimi fish was served cold and absolutely fresh, and was sliced generously. The Nigiri and Sushi lunches included a California roll, 4 pieces of sushi, and six pieces of sashimi, and really was a lot of excellent food for a bargain $24. I almost forgot that we started, along with the Agedashi Tofu, with a very subtly flavored miso soup with tofu and seaweed. This was also perfection, with just a breath of ginger and perfect salt. I hope I've convinced you fans of Japanese food to try this restaurant. If you're new to Japanese food's many varieties and intricacies, or hesitant to eat raw foods, there are always cooked meat and fish dishes like Tempura or Teriyaki you can order, and then you can explore by tasting the more exotic things your friends and family order. Maybe you'll develop a taste for it! If you already have a taste for Japanese food, don't pass up an opportunity to eat a wonderful meal at Mikado, in MetroWest.

I sat at the bar since it was only myself dining but thankfully the All You Can Eat (AYCE) dinner still applies to that section. My bartender Jonell was awesome with servicing me (I had the passionfruit flavored Tropical Long Island) and Laine was super sweet in checking in on me during my dining experience! Please ask for their service when you visit, best recommendations! For my first round, I had the Clam Soup, Aged Tofu, Harumaki, Green Mussels, and Eel & Octopus Roll; for specialty rolls I had the King Kai, Crunchy (hand), and Eel Cucumber roll. Acording to my receipt I also got a King Oyster Mushroom Tempura [roll]? While I don't remember ordering it, I do remember that was one of my favorites! Loved the clam soup and the green mussels! I walked to the counter and asked "Hello, how are you?" and the host replied "how many?" I said "4" and she didn't reply, instead pointed to the tablet in front of her that I assumed was a waitlist. I clicked on the tablet and all it said was "27 parties on the wait". I asked what I'm meant to do and she kind of stood there. Eventually another customer came up and told me "just tap here and add your name and number". Yes, I said customer. After about 30 minutes, we were sat at a tiny little square table for 3 adults and one 4-year old. Wait time is no problem, they were pretty busy. Table wouldn't have been my first choice for a family with a kid (versus a booth), but it's busy, I get it. It took about 15 minutes for someone to come to the table, at which point we were about to get up. When a young woman finally arrived and snapped at us "What is the table having for drinks?" We told her two Sprite, a Coke, and a kids Sprite: 4 adult drinks came out... I thought I had specified, but it's all good. I just asked her for a kids/togo cup I could pour it into but she said no, it's against policy? Okay? LOL She very quickly took our order, and didn't confirm the order with us, so our order came out VERY wrong. Items made wrong, items we didn't order, items we DID order are missing. Pieces of plastic in our food. No drink refills, server never came back to check on us. Overly crowded and everyone is in a bad mood. Even the busser is walking around with a scowl on their face. Food runners throw the food on the table before you even have a chance to make room. One spilled my son's food on him, but was quick on his heel he didn't even register he has just ruined a 4-year old's dinner. Edit: after talking to the manager, he offered to "talk to the staff so they don't know it was me who complained" (wtf???? LOL) and then came back to say the most he could do is take off our drinks and my son's food. My son didn't eat because his food because it got spilled on him, and we never got refills on our drinks, anyways... so not sure if that was the best solution, but whatever. Will never be back. Way too busy, staff doesn't care about what they're doing or the service they're providing. Chef's careless and getting plastic into the food. Runner's throwing food at 4-year-olds. And NO APOLOGY from the manager.
