This place was definitely going off! You can tell it's a local favorite. The meat portions were huge! Much bigger than places down here in SoCal. The service was good! Only thing that got me is that they don't have rice paper. That would have made the meal perfect! All in all this place is a cool little vibe.

Walked in wasnt too busy between came at a great time right before dinner rush around 4:30 pm. Sat right away the place was clean and the decor was really cool been to korean bbq before this one looks really new. All you can eat you can choose from 3 different price points each one has more items to pick from I did the middle. The meat came out fast and was delicious and the sides I loved which is unlimited with rice. Got japchae noodles my favorite. Was so full at the end so be sure u dont over order I think they charge for excessive meat left. Love it gonna come back for more waitress was so sweet and friendly. Only gripe was no salt and pepper mixture.

Been to this location twice now - It's pretty good! The first time it seemed like drinks took forever, the second time drinks were out before our food was. The first time we picked standard but moved up to premium and ended up just doing premium the second time too. All the meat was delicious, very flavorful and good cuts of meat. Drinks were delicious. Banchan was yummy as well, I just wish they had refilled them more often. Although it is a "do it yourself" type of place, it feels like unless your meat is all on the grill you'll struggle to find your waiter for anything else. The place has vaulted ceilings, dark aesthetics and was very clean. Even the bathroom was spotless. They're also very conveniently located right off the highway and are in a strip mall so ample places to park.

We came to the restaurant in a party of 11, and were seated at a large table with several stoves to cook on. Our server was great. Very attentive and responded to the slightest wave. We ordered the Premium package, and were generally very happy with it. The different beef meats we ordered were all very good. Hawaiian beef was by far the favorite of all at our table. Brisket was pretty good, but kind of plain. The others were very good. Chickens were great, too. My only complaints were these: 1. Everyone at the table has to order the same package. I understand (kind of) the reasoning for this. It's to keep people from sharing with others who might have ordered a different package. However, some more adventurous diners might want some of the more exotic foods that aren't available in the standard or premium packages. 2. The vegetable dishes were pretty tiny. You can order more, as the packages are all-you-can-eat, but they don't come with much by default. 3. The shrimp comes with tails, shells, heads, and legs. Yuck!!! For the price of the food, the shrimp should be ready to cook and eat. We will go back again some day, but it won't be a regular place due to the pretty high prices.

We recently went back and enjoyed a night out with the family. We were seated promptly with a party of six. 3 adults and 3 kids. It was fairly busy and the service was great and friendly. We enjoyed extra kimchee, fresh garlic and jalapeños and the sauces for every dish we could order! We ate good and can't wait to go back!

During my business trip to Portland, I began to crave Korean food. As a Korean American who grew up in Koreatown Los Angeles, I'd like to believe that I can differentiate good Korean restaurants from the bad. And Kkoki falls under the category of good. Let me explain why: 1. As a KBBQ establishment, the quality of their meat is above average. I ordered the family meal combo #2 with brisket, rib eye, pork belly, and pork jowl. They don't allow AYCE (all you can eat) for people dining alone so I had to go with a family combo. 2. Their bean paste stew 된장찌개 tasted perfect and I asked for it extra spicy 3. Rib eye was very tender. Brisket was uncomplainable. Pork Jowl was so good and pork belly was mediocre. 4. Service was great and I received Korean level customer service so I tipped him $20 for my meal. I'm in Portland for another week so will try to visit this place again before I fly back to California.

This is quite the hot spot in Salem. Located conveniently near the shopping mall we decided to stop in. The staff does a great job of explaining how it works. They bring you the meat, you cook it at your table with your own burner at the table. It's a great set up. They bring you the veggies and rice which you can have as much as you want for the base price of $27.95. They come back and check on you frequently. We got there about 5:30 and it was pretty empty. It was very full when we left around 7:00. It looks like they had beer and wine. As well as soft drinks. No take out allowed. All in all a good time. We learned a lot about the different foods. I'll definitely try this place again.

Forever my favorite place to go to for family dinners or date nights! I appreciate how they seattle out potions depending on how many people are at your table. My favorite dish is their Beef Ramen!

A group of five of us went. We did the supreme all you can eat. Not a fan of the two hour time limit. It should be at the least three hours. A few people ordered some cocktails. They all stated they were way too sweet to enjoy. A tip for cooking the meats, make sure your waiter increases the gas to high, to cook the food. Otherwise time passes, and the meat doesn't cook quick enough. For the price, it was only so-so for me. That was some of the saltiest meat I have ever had. You get rice and some other small appetizers. Service was excellent. Our waiter took allergy issues seriously and handled it well. I would pass if invited again. That overly seasoned meat was too much for my liking.

    The meats tasty

Food was great and tasty and the service was perfect. If you don't know what to get just ask the waitress was awesome.

She took SUCH good care of us and was super knowledgeable about the menu items and market prices. We got our drinks within minutes and she made sure they were never empty. Not to mention, she checked in on us multiple times during our visit. I ordered the combo # 2 and added a Dungeness crab to it. That bad boy was FRESH. The whole boil was dripping in sauce, cooked perfectly and let me tell you... the Louisiana flavor seasoning is IT!! It's the perfect mix of Cajun and garlic butter. The main star was definitely the Dungeness, but the snow crab was a close second! The legs were a really good size and full of meat! The shrimp was great too! (I always get head-on) I left soooo full and satisfied! Overall, the food was amazing and the service was the best I have received in years.. We will be back soon!

Mixed Bag (o crab)…read more The food was almost all great. We tried garlic fries, salad, clam chowder, snow crab, king crab, and lobster. DS picked this restaurant for celebrating his 18th b-day, so it was disappointing that his king crab was twice as expensive as the snow crab and not great quality. Everything else was great - fresh, saucy, and well-seasoned. I liked that we could add potatoes and sausages to fill out our meal. The service was weird. Our waitress was really sweet and friendly, but seemed clueless. There was nothing on the table - no napkins or salt shakers or utensils. I had to ask for a fork for my salad, then for utensils for the crabs. The ambience was a mixed bag. There was a homeless guy next to our van and signs of a recent campfire. The restaurant was mostly empty, but they didn't offer my family a booth - we had to sit with our kids at a table in the bar. The lighting was good. It was very frustrating not to have metal forks and crab picks. It feels like a high end restaurant, but the utensils are cheep disposable plastic and there was a weird robot was talking too loudly in a weird high pitched girlish voice. The bathroom was really dirty. Overall, I would eat here if someone else were paying because the food was mostly great. For the price, I would want a few improvements.

Basically tasted like poor frozen box shrimp Oysters: C- Literally could fit on face of a quarter they were so small. And overcooked. I couldn't taste the oyster at all. That is the only downside to this place. They have some colorful paint on the wall that was nice. When you come in, you order your food and then go sit down and they will bring it to you. We ended up ordering their 8 piece cod because it's cheaper than ordering 2 four pieces. She was nice enough to separate it for us without us asking. The food came out quick and it was not overly greasy. The cod had a nice batter and had a fresh clean taste. It was still moist and flaky. They were great sized also. As for the fries they came out hot and crisp. Some of the best fries I've had in a long time. The coleslaw was lacking flavor and depth but not a big deal. We got 3 sauces: tartar sauce was very good! The garlic aïoli had great flavor and wasn't overpowering. The ginger lime was very mild and wasn't a good choice in my opinion. They all seemed to be homemade and there were so many choices.
