Sushi Thai in Raleigh. The location was easy to find parking. I was given a small table and I asked the hostess to see if I could switch to another table because I was going to order more items . First thing the hostess told me is if I was going to be taking a long time. Please note there were more tables available. I told her I didn't want to fee rushed. I wanted to leave since I felt the rush. However I stayed . The Cary location is my normal Sushi Thai ( please note never once I've ever had any feedback to give from that location). The sushi was fantastic however the hibachi I ordered was not the best. I was given. A drink menu however was told from the server that there was no bartender. The environment was peaceful however I would not recommend the Raleigh location.

The parking lot is very big- no parking- the plaza was busy. The hostesses were friendly- I asked for a side of spicy mayo and gluten free soy sauce. I ordered 8 rolls- this sushi- Thai gave me all 8. They are BOGO. You pay extra for the spicy mayo- the container was filled only halfway. I only got Two packages of soy sauce (the person I was bringing sushi for was have 2 of the rolls) definitely not enough soy sauce) The sushi was unmarked I the container- it made it very hard to separate- especially because of the Gluten Free ones- we had to pull up the menu to separate them. Overall the sushi was ok not much flavor- unless you dipped it in the wasabi.

Had Gyoza, Seaweed Salad (one of my favorite items on their menu), and seafood coconut curry soup--all very delicious. My son had the Sushi Delux Dinner Platter and enjoyed. We sat at the Sushi Bar. The service was great. The restaurant is incredible with a strong Thai theme. The tables and some wall art has curved genre scenes--very nice.

I was just looking for some good sushi and stumbled upon this gem. The service was warm and welcoming, and I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious the restaurant was once I got past the entrance, plus, it has a full bar! I started with the sampler appetizer, which was amazing. The miso soup came out steamy and flavorful, just the way I like it. The sushi was incredibly fresh and I could taste each fish in my roll, from the tuna to the salmon, which I really appreciated as a combo lover. I wrapped up the meal with one of my favorite desserts: mango sticky rice. It was the perfect balance of savory and sweet. Definitely a spot I'll return to!

I've been on a mission to find the best Thai food in Raleigh. Lots of places miss the mark with flavor and freshness but Sushi-Thai has been a favorite so far. I really love that they will adjust the spice level of the Thai dishes. The pad thai is great, especially when I get it spicy. I also like the dumplings with their red curry sauce. So yummy! My boyfriend said their sushi is pretty good but not the best he's had. Lots to choose from on their menu and they're BOGO. If you're a wine fan, they have half price glasses on Wednesday's which we like to take advantage of.

I came here on a weekday night for dinner with a friend and enjoyed the food! we order the shumai appetizer to start, which was ok. I definitely have had better shu mai and the portion was small. However, I really enjoyed the sushi rolls i ordered! I ordered the crunchy shrimp roll and sweet ninja roll and they were both delicious. All of the sushi rolls are $19.95 and BOGO. We ended our meal with the mayo sticky rice. This was my first time having it and it was so tasty and perfectly sweet. Our waiter took our order in a timely manner and our food was brought out pretty fast. Our waiter also checked in on us frequently as well. this will definitely be a spot I come to when i'm looking for BOGO sushi!

We' were looking somewhere to eat and spot this location since it is close to Rex Hospital. Food was very good, waitresses attentive. Restaurant is nice with car wood tables covered with glass. Very attentive, weight staff.

Great ambience to enjoy good sushi and Thai. Went with a group of four and we split sushi for lunch. The flavors were really good, fresh ingredients, and good portion sizes. The service was good, delivery time of food was comfortable, and the setting was pleasing. BOGO sushi rolls, plenty of Thai options, and yummy specials would bring me back.

I've had a few take out orders here. Upon arrival the entryway is always crowded without any type of order. The restaurant seems presentable. I'm a huge fan of the veggie pad thai and the chicken option. The staff here are always extremely busy, as Sushi-Thai tends to be a hot spot. The pad thai is always deliciously flavorful. Plenty of veggies are in this entree. My only complaint is that the soft drinks are extremely high. A soft drink (non-bottled) is almost $4. On my last to go order for whatever reason I thought at that price it would be a bottle. I was surprised with flat cheerwine. Soft drinks shouldn't be served flat.

The menu had a variety of options and the service was good. I ordered the chicken fried rice, which lacked flavor. However, the crab wontons were very good and I would go back for them again!

Sushi Thai was a great experience. Everything was perfect, from the food to the service. I ordered their lunch bento box specifically the teriyaki box. All I have to say is that the teriyaki box was delicious! The portions are more than enough which I love. They also do a buy one get one free sushi roll deal, which is a great deal! My friend and I decided to order the buy one get one free sushi roll deal too. The sushi rolls were so amazingI enjoyed every bite! Our server was so lovely and always checked on us! To any sushi/Thai fanatics out there I would definitely recommend Sushi Thai in Raleigh!

Go here for lunch every so often the staff is very welcoming and always in a good mood. Service is also great one of my favorite spots for some sushi.

We found ourselves at O-Ku after a friend recommended this place as her favorite sushi in Raleigh. Immediately was impressed, as we came for my birthday & the staff signed a birthday card for me and gave me a surprise dessert. Excellent service! On my 2 year wedding anniversary we came back again bc we loved the sushi the first time and wanted to have delicious food on our special night. The staff once again surprised us with flowers on the table, a special printed menu that said 2nd year Anniversary & a dessert to go. This place is absolutely stunning inside as well. As Japanese visitors, we're always a bit picky when it comes to Japanese food, but everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and authentic. We didn't expect to find such high quality Japanese cuisine in Raleigh, and it exceeded our expectations. A special thank you to Marika, who was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. Her warm hospitality made us feel right at home and truly made our dining experience even more memorable. Whether you're visiting Raleigh or live in the area, we highly recommend this restaurant. Five stars, no hesitation…read more I heard about Sono Sushi through Resy and finally made it in. It's located in downtown Raleigh on Fayetteville Street, right next to the ABC 11 studios, easy to find and a great spot if you're already downtown. The ambiance is great and fits the food well. There's a nice mix of seating, tables along the windows looking out onto the street, high top tables, traditional dining tables, and a sushi bar if you want to sit up close and watch everything being made. It feels lively without being loud, and works well whether you're there for a date night or a more casual meal. We started with the Aburi appetizer, torched salmon belly, ooba, salmon roe, Japanese seabream, yuzu kosho, and ponzu, and it was outstanding. Everything worked together perfectly, rich, bright, and balanced. I also ordered ikura and ebi, even though I meant to order ama ebi, but no regrets there. Still excellent. We shared the Poke Roll with wakame, avocado, cucumber, mango, tuna, salmon, hamachi, and Sono poke sauce, and it was very good, fresh, flavorful, and well composed without being overdone. My wife ordered the spicy miso ramen and loved it. The broth was the star, deep and comforting, and the pork chashu pieces were massive, in a good way. I went with the chicken katsu curry, panko fried chicken thigh with house curry and koshihikari rice, something I haven't had since Little Tokyo in LA a few years ago, and it tasted like home. Comforting, familiar, and exactly what I was hoping for. For drinks, I ordered the "SONO? SO-YES!" entirely because of the name, but also because I love blood orange. Casamigos Blanco tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, coconut cream, simple syrup, and blood orange juice, it was excellent. My only complaint is that I wanted more of it. My wife got the Okinawa Spritz, a play on an Aperol spritz with passionfruit, and it was even better than the original. We finished with the yuzu cheesecake. I debated between that and the ube cheesecake, but since this is a Japanese restaurant, yuzu felt right, and it absolutely delivered. Overall, everything from the food to the drinks hit. This is a place I would happily return to, and honestly, I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

Hot Pot: You each get your own individual hot pot. I got Beef Butter and my husband got Szechuan Spicy (I liked both broths).
