    Sashimi appetizer.

Solid 3-star experience. I entered promptly at 4:30pm, just as they'd opened for dinner and used the restroom. It was trashed. I halfway expected a break between lunch and dinner was an opportunity for a restaurant to hit the reset button, including cleaning the restrooms. I was wrong. I said one little thing to the server and she chatted my ear off. I love that. I enjoy talking to people. Ordered the sashimi app and it seemed a bit small, kind of underwhelming, with a lot of carrot garnish to try hiding its little presentation. The salmon roll was as basic as possible and also a bit on the small side. Very bland. The Ocean Roll was quite good and it singlehandedly put this review in positive territory. Flavorful and pretty to look at, with a good deal of heft. I can see why it is popular. I can't see myself going back but I wish them the best. A.

Found this small sushi place in the FV area, and decided to stop by on a week night. The place is small, but not too shabby. TBH, the floors were sticky and that rubbed me the wrong way. I hope they are able to clean the floors more often. The waitress was nice and came by often. The sushi was pretty decent. The rolls were smaller bites, and pretty tasty. The presentation was cute. I'm glad the fish and sushi rice tasted fresh. 6/10 - probably a decent place to do takeout, but not as big of a fan of dining in

This is a very friendly place to have sushi, fry rice and sashimi. Food taste fresh, clean and place is spacious, will try more dishes in the future.

We've been coming here over the past few years, it's close to home. Overall I really like this place! I get their sushi rolls and we've tried their hibachi and a few appetizers. My fave thing is their Ginger dressing - I buy a big container a couple of times a year!

Gave our order away, had to wait for them to remake our Sushi. ‍ Why do we keep coming back? Lol Because they are close to home. Seriously, thinking never again. Oooh...they refunded some money.

Philly and I forget - both suck and the cheese tasted nasty

This place sucks. The quality of the rice and even the tuna was terrible. The service was C+ at best. The environment wasn't bad. The sushi overall was awful and Harris Teeter is way better. Don't go here !!!!!!!

I had no idea that Kumo Sushi was located here until I overheard someone mentioning it while grabbing a beer at Oaklyn Springs Brewery. I ordered takeout and selected the crab rangoons and hibachi chicken with white rice and a salad (you can choose a salad or soup). The crab rangoons were just okay but the driver behind my 2 star review was the hibachi chicken. I ended up throwing it away because it tasted off, I'm not sure if it was the marinade, yum yum sauce or a combination of both. I'm hoping that this bad experience was just a one off but we will see.

Service Was excellent but of course it wasn't very busy either which helps. The restaurant is clean and pretty typical in decor. We had salads with the ginger dressing, nothing special about the salad. The chicken lettuce wraps were really tasty. I would order those again. We ordered four different rolls of sushi. If you are afraid of raw fish you will love their menu. The sushi rolls are divided by cooked fish and raw fish. Prices seemed reasonable for two of us to have dinner with an appetizer salad and for sushi rolls total was $38. We drink water. That location is in a strip mall and available free parking is right outside the door. Restrooms were clean but ladies room had no paper towels.

I stop here on the way home from time to time. The sushi has always been great. If you're looking for a high quality and easy sushi spot this is it

The hostess and server were incredibly friendly throughout our visit. You would never guess it from the outside, but the restaurant is very spacious. The menu has a lot of appetizer, sushi, sake, and hibachi options. We ordered the shumai to start. It was very tasty. Then we ordered the Dream roll, Rick Roll and salmon nigiri. We waited a long time for our rolls, and when they finally came out they were just ok. The rolls were over-sauced and the salmon was so thinly sliced that the rice overpowered it. The restaurant filled up pretty quickly while we were there and we noticed the majority of the patrons ate the hot entrees. Maybe that's the way to go here.

A nice perk of this spot is that it's just a stone's throw away from free and plentiful lot parking. I'd make a reservation if you plan to come here on a weekend for dinner. The place was bustling, with almost all the tables full. It's bright, airy and modern looking inside. Which makes it the perfect place for a date night or celebration spot. At the same time, it's not stuffy or overly fancy. The menu is comprehensive with Thai favorites like Pad Thai and Pad See Ew with a large number of Japanese and Sushi items on the back. My friends tried the Thai Spicy level and I will say it was pleasantly hot without burning your tongue off. I ordered the bento box and was really happy with the quality of the sashimi and nigiri. Everything was tasty, and the portions were more than satisfying. If I had to make a nit on something that I didn't love (it's hard!), I'd say that the rice texture wasn't my favorite. It was a little dry. But other than that, I would definitely consider it for another night out.

Holy!! We had expectations from all of the recommendations, but what a complete disappointment…read more First let's start with the only positive-- the waitress and her service was perfect. She was so kind and was the absolute best part of our visit. She gave a range recommendations, very professional, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the meal. We are coming from the Irvine, CA area so we VERY familiar with top tier Asian food and possibly that impacted our standards vs others in the review section. Now on to the rest, there were so many flies that I ended up having to smash them on the window with a napkin--just gross! Then, my son's food was not flavored well at all and had HAIR in his noodles! The Pad Thai was really bad! It was a lighter color first of all, so maybe they added an ingredient that isn't standard in traditional Pad Thai, but it did not make it better at all; I could barely stomach it. Then, there was a huge egg shell in the dish that somehow the cook let come out and served to us. The sweet and sour chicken portion was outrageously small for a dinner portion, and the dish was smothered with sauce but somehow the chicken was dry as if it was day old or several days old chicken. The cashew chicken, the same, dry chicken that was being covered up with the sauce and we had to chew a great deal. The sweet tea, it just tasted like they put a bunch of sugar packets in and was worse than a McDonald's sweet tea. Their white rice was not moist at all and we could've just done without it. Out of the sushi we ordered, the spicy tuna was good, but the rest was grocery store quality sushi and extremely small portion. In my opinion, people rave about this place because it is 'different' and plays into an upscale restaurant as you can see with their overpriced items. This place doesn't hold a candle to shopping center Thai fusion in California. I have lived in many states and am not a snotty Californian, but man oh man I can tell you this one is a fail. The only star for this visit goes to the waitress (she was a 5) but if I could give this a zero for the food, I would. Don't waste your time or money.

I quickly scanned their hefty bloody mary menu and ordered the Lobstrocity, featuring veggies, shrimp, a grilled cheese sandwich and a fresh lobster tail atop a sizeable glass of the main concoction. Of course, I still had to order half a dozen raw oysters for dessert. And no, I won't be eating for the rest of the day! What made this a 5 star experience was our phenomenal server, Trevor. You can tell this place is popular by the amount of people who were on the wait list for a table. The bar area has a ton of local draft beer options and very friendly wait staff. Although it would seem like one mega-Service station would be just like any other, I'm going to have to say that I'm impressed with Sheetz in general and this location in particular. Sure, there are days when you have to wait a bit, and the food is good for a service station but not anything to write home about. However, they are always clean, have great restrooms (very open, clean, and well-maintained), and they are almost always very friendly and quick. The worst I've seen service here has been when the checker was distracted or just down-right bushed. In fact, there's one employee we particularly enjoy seeing (my daughters and I stop in practically every morning for a juice and breakfast sandwich - the girls love them). I don't know her name but this employee is always chipper and seems to rotate through a list of endearing names for customers. Some mornings it's "sweetie", others it's "honey". My girls love it and are always excited when she's working and eager to see what the nom du jour will be. So, is it more than a hopped up service station? No. But, as hopped up service stations go, Sheetz has cultivated it's own style and feel. The service is friendly and fairly uniform across the locations. The food is better than standard for similar chains and the gas is cheap if you have a loyalty card (and even if you don't). Besides, it's fun to say that you're going to 'eat Sheetz'. 'Nuff said.
