It was a long weekend, Martin Luther King Jr's holiday and went to visit our son and his girlfriend when we went to this Japanese place. It was small but it was packed. We ordered a Bento box and various California rolls. They were all tasted good and we enjoyed all of them. The servers were very attentive and checked on us every now and then. We will definitely go back here.

The food was yummy and satisfying! My favorites were the Monster Roll, Fire Roll, and Santa Barbara Roll. The Monster roll had a good crunch from the tempura. I liked the spiciness from the Fire Roll. The Santa Barbara roll had good flavor and I loved the seared Salmon on top. The service was good and the waitress helped us pick out rolls when she realized we were all going to order the same one. The restaurant is small but has a good vibe and plenty of tables. There's also a small sushi bar section.

So yummy!! The fish was extremely fresh and beat a lot of my favorite places! The ambiance was super ambient! The fish ratio and rice ratio was great and served super fresh. I havent had salmon that good in awhile! The Jessica Roll was SO FRESH AND DELICIOUS (10/10) The wait time was a little long for the food, but everything was fresh and amazing! Definitely coming back. They gave us all macarons even though it was only one per table! So sweet! Amazing service.

Presentation was great but the food didn't taste fresh. My wife and I were both sick for two days. And they overcharged my card for some reason. They had a worker that was sneezing and coughing and wiping her nose.

We went on an impulse on a Saturday night. The atmosphere is clean and friendly. There was a good crowd but the staff were attentive. We both went with the 6 piece sushi and roll combination plate. The sushi is chef's choice and we were pleased with his selections in serving size, plate presentation and freshness. The shrimp tempura roll was a tasty upgrade we made. The miso soup also had nice flavor and didn't seem like It was the all too common too salty powder mix. We added an order of the 2 piece bluefin tuna which was a generous size and topped with fresh wasabi. The pieces were again fresh and pleasant. We sat at a table but the patrons at the bar seemed to be able to engage with the friendly sushi chefs. We would come back again.

Stopped by here and tried out a few things on the menu. Started with the Gyoza and a couple Takoyaki's. The Takoyaki's were decent, had a crunchy but soft inside texture to it. Overall not too bad, the Gyoza's were alright as well, decent flavor dipped with the sauce.The Santa Barbara roll on the other hand was delicious, warm, flavorful and just right. I also had a baked salmon roll and that was also very good. Warm salmon glazed with sauce, very good. Overall one of the best sushi spots I've had so far. What's not to like about this place? But sometimes the waiting for the food can be brutal when they are backed up with takeout orders plus dine in orders. It's always a good idea to place in at least one kitchen hot food along with your sushi orders cuz hot food is made in the kitchen and it comes out fairly quick, and you can enjoy that while waiting for your order of sushi/rolls. Despite the long wait the food is always so fresh. Love it! My tummy is always full and happy.

The sashimi platter impressed from the first bite. The fish tasted fresh and clean. Each slice held smooth texture and rich flavor. The tuna stood out. Soft, buttery, and deep in flavor. The salmon tasted bright and tender. Yellowtail brought a mild sweetness. The chef sliced each piece with care. Thick enough for texture. Thin enough for balance. The platter arrived with fresh wasabi, pickled ginger, and crisp shredded daikon. Each bite felt simple and pure.

The ramen here is delicious, and so is the sushi. It's ~15 dollars but it's mainly just noodles, with toppings of 2 pieces of pork and an egg. The sushi is delectable too, but oh my, oh my, when my eyes feasted upon the macaroon ice cream, it encapsulates a childhood memory of mine, it was like the scene out of "Ratatouille", I was brought back there, it felt melancholy and bittersweet as the cream melted ever so softly in my mouth, tickled my tongue, and satiated my hunger by this wonderful treat! I forgot how much I love quality Sushi! We had the Mexican roll and Sushi times toll -- two great options. Although I loved the baked roll, there is no comparison to fresh, top-tier sushi. We thought we were full and still managed to order the Red Snapper--I mean why not, Sushi times seems to know what they are doing. Man oh man. Where do I even start? First off compliments to the staff and owner, super sweet and attentive people but the chefs need to get it together fr. Ordered 3 rolls, got 2 and asked them to comp the last one because we were waiting over an hour, I'm sure you can guess what they decided to do. Very disappointing waste of time and money for terrible food, would've been happier at Denny's and yes I know it's BHM so that's saying something. read more

went with my family here to have dinner and the tuna for our sashimi platter we ordered was a little tough to chew. additionally, there was a hair in my california roll but i just pushed that one to the side, and their portions for the sides like wasabi or ginger were pretty tiny. especially because i was eating with four other people, we had to keep asking for extra. lastly, we ordered the house salad and they forgot to give us dressing which was a little bit odd but we resolved that issue by just requesting some. unfortunately, the food overall also came out very slowly but i assume that's due to there only being two people making the sushi, so i can let that slide. our main waitress also seemed really drifty and confused whenever we asked her for help, but--again--i can let it slide because maybe it was her first day, she was nervous, or etc. the place itself is really nice though, very clean and well-kept, and even though our waitress had a bit of a weird energy, she was still extremely kind, as were the other staff members as well !! probably wouldn't go again, but i'm not disappointed overall--this place is just okay read more

This is a very small sushi restaurant. It was very warm indoors and seemed short staffed. One waitress and one bus boy. Why we were served ice water in small to go cups was beyond me when we first sat down. The presentation is beautiful, and the fish was of good quality. Would we come back? I've ordered for picked up from this place and I'm so hesitant to say that I'm really disappointed with the food. It was okay, but their sashimi was frozen which made me question the quality of their food. The service was okay but considering the food wasn't very great, I don't think I'll be coming back solely to review the service. Their layout is kind of weird considering I have to walk all the way to the back, where it smells like mop water and the bathroom, just to pay for and pick up my food. read more

Sapporo roll was 5/5 delicious. Crispy spicy tuna was 3/5. The lemon pepper salmon chefs special was very mehhhh... I didn't like it but my husband really did so I'll also give it a 3/5. Also tried the gyoza which was also yummy. Service was nice and quick. Our waters never emptied. Private parking lot but I could see how during peak hours it would be a struggle to find parking. It's our first time here because our daughter will be attending UCR in the fall quarter and we are here for orientation. This place is great. Our daughter will be back. She now knows a sushi place to go when she goes to school. Food is good and the service is fantastic. Anny was very attentive and friendly. She anticipates our needs and we never got thirsty because she always comes around to fill our glasses. There's ample parking in the back. We absolutely love the seafood! One small change we noticed was the switch to the little red scissors, and honestly, they are so much better. They cut through everything so easily and make getting into the crab much simpler. The main reason I wanted to leave this review is because we noticed a big improvement compared to some of our previous visits. We were seated right away (it was a weekday), and our food came out quickly. The overall experience felt smoother and more enjoyable. We will be back in a few days to try the cajun boil, and may buy some of the frozen seafood for making our own dishes.

One of my favorite parts was the fresh tortillas. They come out hot and fresh from the oven, and you can literally watch them being made right in front of you, which made it even better. And the best part is they're free. We ordered the carne fajitas and chile relleno. The fajitas were incredible, the meat was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, with that perfect smoky sear that comes from being cooked fresh on a hot skillet. Everything came out sizzling and stayed flavorful with every bite. The chile relleno was also really good, with a nice balance of savory and slightly creamy filling that paired well with the sauce. It was actually my first time trying fajitas, and I can confidently say I'll be ordering them again the next time I come back. My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant and, unfortunately, our experience with the service was disappointing. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty, yet we stood at the entrance for about five minutes without being greeted or seated. We eventually looked over the menu on our own before someone finally sat us. After being seated, it took roughly 20 minutes for our waitress to take our order, and another 30 minutes before our food arrived. Throughout our meal, we were never checked on or asked if we needed anything, including refills for our water, which we were only offered after we had already paid the bill. While waiting for our food, we also overheard a highly inappropriate exchange between another customer and the waitress. The customer made an offensive comment about ordering a "Mexican roll" despite "not liking Mexicans," and the waitress responded with "that's understandable." Comments like this are unacceptable in any workplace and made us feel extremely uncomfortable. The food itself was great, and the cooks were very kind, but the service and the unprofessional behavior we witnessed left us disappointed. Because of this, we did not feel comfortable leaving a tip. We hope the management will address these issues so future guests can have a better experience. read more

The Tonkatsu Ramen is very good. The noodles are cooked perfectly soaked with the flavor of the pork broth. The pork is cooked perfectly, the egg is flavorful and the fish cakes are delicious in general. The service was excellent and well on following the instructions or orders. Our food came out fast and the drinks are good. The server was understanding when getting asked questions and very clear. It is a nice and warm place. I tried the sashimi combo A along with the shogun roll, and let me tell you, the shogun roll was fantastic! The spicy tuna in it was delicious.
