Outstanding sushi. Fresh, big selection, expertly prepared. Reminds me of when sushi was special, long ago. The star off is for indoor ambience. I wish this were a dine-in spot for a nice meal. The tables are ok, and I had a nice lunch, but the sushi bar seats looked uncomfortable, and the decor and table service were nothing special. Most significantly, no license to serve beer or sake, and no plans to get one. It's a shame to limit this food to casual and takeout, because the food is so good. read more

This place is a best kept secret. They have an extensive menu including sushi burrito, poke bowls as well as specialty sushi and sashimi. Foods were presented a like pieces of art and very tasty. The ramens are also surprisingly good and ravels places specialized in ramen. They should do a better job advertising and let more people know about it. read more

First time trying this place out. Definitely a hidden gem. The takoyaki was a good size and tasted great. The maki rolls were all good. We got the salmon avocado, crunchy spicy tuna, real crab meat and avaocado, and shrimp tempura maki rolls. For the special roll we got the Salmon Summer and White Flint roll. Both were good but the white flint was definitely my favorite. Definitely a sushi place to check out! read more

It seemed like a new place and I wanted to try it since i was around. We ordered one Spicy katsu ramen and one Chirashi. I was not happy with the quality of both dishes. For the Chirashi, it said on the menu 10 pieces of sushi, but I only got 8 pieces instead and 2 of them were egg and frozen crab meat. I was very disappointed with the service as well. Our visit to this newly-opened sushi restaurant was a hit from start to finish! The space was lovely - well-decorated and clean. The staff were very responsive but not overbearing - they responded to our requests promptly and answered all of our questions. Everyone in my group ordered the 2-roll lunch special with miso soup - the miso soup was probably one of the tastiest I've had. I have a new favorite sushi place! I was so delighted with the quality of the food. The fish was fresh and buttery, the fatty salmon just melted in my mouth. The rice was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I had so many perfect bites in one meal. That is how good sushi should be. My husband loved his crunchy spicy tuna roll and I enjoyed the salmon/fatty salmon nigiri. The batter on the tempura was a bit heavy but we got take out and tempura is known not to stay crisp during travel so I can hardly complain. Over all the food was flavorful and excellent. Incredibly fresh sushi and some nice variety. The seared toro and raw toro along with salmon belly were delicacies as was the scallop nigiri. All the usual offerings (tuna, salmon, white tuna and squid ) were also delicious. We had the salmon summer and the flying dragon maki that was also very light and well prepared. Hands down the freshest sushi I've had in the area. We got take out so I cannot comment on the ambiance but the order was ready within minutes of their estimate and they were very pleasant while I waited. Terrible! I ordered Oven Scallop & Chirashi from here two separate take aways now to give them a chance. Unfortunately, this is terrible food for the money. I mentioned to the one of the staff that the Oven Scallop isn't like the photo online their website: gosushitoro.com. in that photo. The guy didn't believe me when I displayed on my iphone with the website pointing to their restaurant and he wanted to see in his own smartphone. ****That tells me the paying customer that he displayed ****UNPROFESSIONALISM***as I had open. I discovered this place on Yelp today and figured I'd give it a try. Wow, one of the best sushi places I've been to. I've been to tons of sushi places around Rockville from the less expensive to the more pricey. This was one of the freshest & most delicious I've had, ever. There weren't a lot of people there - I guess the struggle of being a new restaurant - so please go try it to make sure they survive. The interior is super cute and clean to sit and eat, and the staff was great and welcoming.
