I started ordering from sushi town during the Covid lockdown, seeing as they were one of the three places that offered contactless take out, payment and pickup. They have cultural decor inside, but from my experience, they are primarily a take out restaurant now. The cashiers are always nice and their prices are hard to beat. Serving sizes are great, the sushi is both fresh and delicious. Their menu is insanely large, and they offer more than sushi/sashimi. They have dinner plates, bento boxes, steak plates, etc. I love sushi town, they have never messed up an order, and I am happy to tip extra for their above and beyond service. Definitely try them out!

Would of been 4 stars but give you wrong change if you pay cash. Watch them‼! Been going there since I was 18. I'll stick to Mt Fuji in absecon now.. lost a customer due to greediness..

Really good inexpensive sushi mainly for take out! They have nice specials and somehow I always spend enough to get a discount! They are very friendly and kind and really work hard to make their customers happy. I've been going for years right after gym sessions down the street and I've always loved it. Their shrimp is really fresh and they make delicious shumai.

This won't be a long review as I can sum up my experience in just a couple words: good customer service, good selection of sushi, and their prices are very reasonable. I'm on travel but have found a quick, easy, and delicious sushi place I'll return to every trip!

I've been craving sushi for roughly four months and I was very glad to see a few spots opened nearby since the Covid-19 outbreak shut many of the local restaurants down. Looks are deceiving, in which this is a perfect example, as the business is located in a strip mall & it's easy to overlook a place, especially when it comes to location. I was a bit optimistic at first, but ended up ordering almost a dozen sushi rolls since my family and I were hungry. For a last minute order, I was very pleased to see such a wonderful presentation & the quality itself was not bad at all. I also have to add that the pricing CAN NOT be beat, which the majority of rolls here cost roughly between $5.00-$9.00 which if you're a sushi connoisseur, you know how quickly the expenses can rack up. All of this food was under $100.00 & that's incredible. All in all, I would highly recommend this establishment to those looking to grab a quick bite at a very modest price.

Visited Sakura Japanese Steak, Seafood... while in Atlantic City for my daughter's birthday…read more I ordered the chicken and filet mignon hibachi combo. The food itself was cooked well, but the experience just didn't hit the way hibachi usually does. The chef was kind of flat, no real energy or entertainment, which honestly is half the fun when you go for hibachi. No swallowing sake, no catching veggies in our mouths... it just felt very toned down. My kids were also visibly unimpressed, which says a lot. Food wise, I was a little disappointed there were no noodles included, and I noticed the person next to me got a noticeably bigger portion of rice than I did. Not a huge deal since I'm cutting carbs anyway, but still something you notice. I did still pass him a $20 tip because the chef did cook everything properly, even if the vibe wasn't there. (Please be aware to tip your hibachi chef separately from the server!) My sister tried a few things too and said the avocado rolls were actually really fresh and stood out. She also got shrimp and filet mignon hibachi and felt it was decent overall, just underwhelming. She mentioned the dessert situation was odd too, which I agree, only plain cheesecake on display that didn't look too appealing. I'd would have liked some fried matcha icecream or something dang. Service was okay but there was a bit of a language barrier with the waitress which made communication a little tricky. The interior also felt pretty minimal and not very decorated, which added to the lack of atmosphere. Overall, it wasn't bad, just very average. I'm used to hibachi in NY and CT where the experience is way more lively and engaging. If I'm in the area again, I wouldn't go back.

The chef did a good job cooking, but the experience felt a little flat since he lacked personality. Hibachi is usually as much about the entertainment as it is the food, so that was a bit of a letdown. Also, there was only one dessert plain cheesecake & it didn't look appealing especially displayed sitting on a rotating tray. The waitress had a language barrier which was kind of hard to communicate & she was having a hard time understanding me. The interior lacked decor & felt pretty minimal. Large enough for a meal with side of miso soup -- which was chuck full of micro-diced tofu and greens. Another table someone ordered the gorgeous Sweetheart Roll -- served in composed heart shapes. Ambitious, she'd ordered that and another specialty roll so more than half or each went home with her. The bento box her husband ordered looked very large but an added side of veggies was called for as barely any but a garnish worth in the box. I hear they have some dessert items but didn't see anyone with room enough to order anything. For the non-sushi lovers in your party, there are many chicken or beefy hibachi offerings. Very limited seating so reserve, go early, or do take away. They moved things around to accommodate my recent solo visit for dinner at 7pm on a Monday. I was headed back to Philly after this last Ventnor dinner so I ordered a Rainbow Roll to go. I didn't want the experience to end. I enjoyed half of it for lunch next day. The rest for dinner with large homemade salad. It had been packed tight and stayed fresh in my fridge. Oh, sure, I want to return to the shore for sun, swimming, and friends but mostly I can't wait to eat here again! How did I not know about it?!

I ordered miso soup to start, and you really can't go wrong with that. For my appetizer, I ordered the Sushi Pizza. The waitress recommended it, and I personally think they absolutely knocked it out of the park. It had a crispy base topped with fresh sashimi and a delicious aioli sauce. It wasn't flimsy, soggy, or falling apart, it was perfectly crunchy and absolutely delicious. Definitely a big portion I had to take half to go but I don't mind! For my main course, I ordered the Triple Delight Sashimi. I'm very picky when it comes to sashimi, and the quality here was fantastic. The slices were thick, fresh, and simply melted in your mouth. My boyfriend ordered the veggie tempura and couldn't stop talking about how much he enjoyed it. It looked crispy and smelled delicious. I'm pretty sure I spoke with the owner, who was an extremely nice lady. She came over to refill our water and see how we were enjoying our meal, which really added to the experience. I forgot the name of the cake I ordered, but it was sweet, simple, and light, a perfect way to end my meal. I love this place so much. I asked ChatGPT where I should go for sushi, and it recommended Rainbow for its prices, portions, and because it was one of the most highly raved-about spots. ChatGPT didn't lie! I'll definitely be spreading the word about Rainbow and how great the food and overall experience were. If you're craving quality sushi without breaking the bank, make the drive. It's on a cute little street, and you won't regret it. I'll definitely be coming back every time I visit Atlantic City!

I'd like to tell you to stay away. To go and choose another spot. To completely avoid this place…read more Why! Because it was simply the best experience I've had with Korean food and personnel since I've started trying out this cuisine type over the past year. I was joined by my friend who ordered the bulgogi beef (which I did not get the opportunity to taste because it was so good he forgot to offer me a try) as well as a kimbap(?) as an appetizer. I tried a piece of the app and it was scrumptious. He said his entree was spicy but ok the best way. He was content with the portion, the taste, and the plating. I did warn him that most folks who come here do end up needing to bring food home. Boy, was that right. So, be kind and bring your own container(s) so you can delight in your leftovers another day. They do have takeout containers but they do not offer take out. You must dine in. So, please do keep this in mind when coming here. It makes sense because otherwise the transit time to take it offsite to eat your meal elsewhere is just not the same to get the full experience they are giving here along with their culinary expertise. The food came out fresh and with a little bit of wait. Patience may be required but it's so worth the wait. What did I have you are asking ? Well, my first ever japchae. Non-spicy option for me. The way the noodles were, I can't describe it. It's a whole fun experience on top of the goodness of the dish. The place has some modest touches to let you know what sort of cuisine they serve. There is a kimbap (?) bar area and a few tables. I imagine it can fill up quickly at lunch or dinner. I highly suggest arriving early to ensure you don't feel rushed. Definitely support this restaurant, make sure it has a longevity they deserve and continue to educate us - ok me- on the deliciousness of Korean cuisine. Of course, I took home my meal leftovers. And I enjoyed them the next day. The parking is easy and free at the Cardiff plaza.

The 'mom' did drop some chopsticks off at our table, but I'm pretty sure she didn't say a word to us. As we waited for her to return to take our order, we were disappointed when she said that she had to wait to take our order until another table did. At that point, we decided to leave. I want this place to be successful. There aren't many Korean options in this part of south Jersey. Please do better.
