It's subpar mall grade Japanese food. Shrimp tempura is batter dipped...more like a corn dog...the batter is thick and very bready...the opposite of shrimp tempura. We ordered the side dish..there were only 3 pieces...we only took bites out of 2 of them and left the rest. The beef and chicken teriyaki plate is also interesting. The chicken was a shade of bright yellow and a bit dry. The beef used was the super thin type used in cheese steak sandwiches. Both were not grilled. The saving grace was the salmon roll. Stumbled across this place when shopping. The sushi is not the very best that I have ever eaten, but if you compare the quality to price, this sushi is very good! I'm so so so happy they have opened for take out after quarantine shut down! I've tried at least 5 other places in south jersey and surrounding areas and still have not found sushi as fresh, delicious & reasonable as Osaka in the Hamilton mall. I've eaten at Osaka quite a number of times already throughout my years as a college student. My classmates and I would come to the mall specifically for Osaka just because the food is inexpensive and the people there are great. Our all time favorite "college student budget" is the Chicken Teriyaki Bowls or any of the other bowls for that matter. It's under $5 with tax and you get a reasonable amount of chicken and rice and most importantly it's a decent tasting meal. Great food at an affordable price. Located on the second floor of the mall in the food court. Don't let the food court stigma scare you away though. This place is an awesome find. Their teriyaki bowls are my favorite there. They range from 3-4 dollars which includes white rice, sauce, and your choice of meat. I always ask for extra sauce though. When I worked in the mall, I would get Osaka every day. The kind woman at the register would greet me with her smile and have my iced tea ready for me. The two men knew my order and began preparing my 2 Philly rolls before I even made it to the counter. They're fast and good at what they do, they always deserve a tip. The fish is fresh and delicious. The staff is so friendly and always brighten my day. Now that I don't work at the mall, I barely come here but they still know my order, 2 Philly rolls cut into eighths, no wasabi, extra ginger and spicy mayo on the side. Oh, and they have coconut chicken- I love it but couldn't find it anywhere since moving to the area til I came here. I have been coming to this place for years and always loved the quality of the food. For years there was an older lady who took the order and was always friendly, nice, and reasonable. For a few years now a younger lady takes the order, is not friendly nor professional at all. One of my favorites, is the teriyaki chicken bowl, and a spicy mayo on the side which they never charged for as long as you ordered a bowl. The prices have went up quite a few times within the years, started at $2.65 and is currently now $5.15 plus tax making it $5.50. Also, just went today and the younger lady was trying to charge me an extra .50 for a side of spicy mayo, stating it would be free if it was put on top, when two weeks ago I was just there and the side of mayo was free with the bowl. I wanted a refund because she was so rude and started laughing. Luckily one of the men that worked there for years I ended up speaking to and he was nice and resolved it as best as he could. She also said there was no manager there I could talk to, no number I could call for complaint or email. Soon as I left I looked it up on google and decided to wrote this review. I have worked in the mall for at least 5 years and I love coming here for lunch when I can. I love their sushi. And in the past month or so they have changed their presentation of their food for the better. And the people their are always so friendly. The food itself has never disappointed. I was wary in the beginning of mall sushi but let me tell you this is great food no matter where it's located. The prices are so perfect for a nice meal under 5 dollars. Lots of sushi options that are decently prices and pretty yummy. I had my first California roll here and I've been trying different sushi here ever since. I was asked to basically review the different types of sushi: California Roll: The bascially taste like all the other ones. This helped me get started, but there is no raw fish, so it's very American. I usually don't get it anymore. Shrimp Roll: If you like rice, and you like shrimp, this is a must get. it was really good, and I still get it on occasion. Shrimp Tempura Roll: My friend told me to try this and no regret. It's an interesting taste, and you get 8 pieces in 1 order. It has this amazing sauce on the rolls. It doesn't even need soy sauce, it's that good. Crunchy Shrimp Roll: I don't remember if this is what it's called, but it is close. It's a shrimp roll, that's spicy. I usually get this and shrimp tempura together with a drink since I have a lower tolerance to spicier foods. New York Roll: Now we are getting to the raw fish. This has cream cheese in it, which is basically the only thing you can taste, but it is good. This is very similar to the Philly Roll. Philly Roll: Cream cheese. This was my first Sushi with raw fish in it. the new york roll has 1, this one has 2. The first time I tried it, I thought I was going to throw up, my stomach didn't really like it, but it tasted amazing. Now I order it all the time. Salmon Roll: I only has this once. My mom order it. I tried a piece, it was good, but not a lasting impression. If you really like salmon, might as well give it a shot. read more

I go here for sushi ALL the time. Every chance I get. Best spicy tuna roll I've ever had, even counting Seattle. The gyoza and shumai are excellent. Prices are good, I get a spicy tuna roll and crispy shrimp roll combo for $8. (Crispy shrimp rolls, for the unfamiliar, are not the same as shrimp tempura roll, but close. They still have the panko flakes, but not the sauce or the fancy shrimp tail...I prefer these.) My husband regularly gets their rice bowls and enjoys them very much (usually beef teriyaki). If this place moves out of the mall...I will follow them as far as I am able. The food and the staff are excellent! Every place I go for sushi, I compare to this place. read more

By far the worst chinese food I've ever had. It wasn't even good for mall chinese food which is usually lousy anyway. I got the chicken terriyaki and the chicken was gray and made me want to vomit. I'm just waiting until I realize I was given food poisoning. The white rice was even disgusting. It had no taste what so ever and had a really strange taste also. The portion was also soooo tiny but I only ate about 5 pieces of the gray chicken anyway so that didn't even matter. You couldn't pay me to eat their food again. read more
