I've only been here twice and this place is pretty good for sushi. The price is reasonable and the quality is great. The place is small though as far as seatings go. The last time I was here was with my church ladies. We had so much fun! The servers gave us free food because we made them laugh! The people next to us came over and told us they wanted to be eating with us. Haha. I digress but on to the place though. They have your typical rolls just like everywhere else, but there was a dish that was just delicious! It's was the crunchy crab salad that the server gave us for free. So refreshing and flavorful - you must try it. The sushi itself is on the larger side, and most of us couldn't eat it one bite so we joked about it and ended up cracking ourselves up. Yes, they do give you a decent amount of food so you get your money's worth. Their lunch specials are A-OK in my book. This is the best sushi place I've been to in Kansas. They have a great lunch special which is 1, 2, or 3 sushi rolls of your choosing that comes with your choice of soup and crab rangoons as an appetizer! It's super inexpensive too. My favorite rolls are the Tiger, Dynamite, and 87th Street, soooo delicious. And, almost every time I eat here, we get a crab seaweed salad on the house which is super tasty. If you do come for lunch, make sure to get there around 11:00 or 11:30 so that you beat the rush, the restaurant is pretty small. It's best to come with 4 people at the most because the tables aren't meant for more that that. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves a delicious sushi roll. read more

I've been dining at Sushi Uni for several years and had all great experiences until my birthday. My mom and I became violently ill after eating the Rainbow Roll (my dad was fine because he didn't eat this roll) a few hours after dinner. I had to call into work the next day I was still sick. I also informed Sushi Uni what had happened and which roll caused the sickness only to be told that 'well, people are eating it right now and they are ok.' That's the thing about food poisoning it takes a few hours to kick in. I know eating raw fish is a risk but no apology or concern for other diners...haven't been back since. read more

It was an hour and a half from the time we sat down to the time we paid our tab and we ordered quickly. The sushi was alright. The crab Rangoon did not have a lot of filling. I have made three visits to this place and I am convinced there must be a gateway to heaven somewhere in the kitchen because everything is absolutely heavenly. I have now tried over three visits: Spicy Crunch Tuna Roll Shrimp Tempora Rock n Roll Mango Roll UNI Roll (my fav) Caterpiler Roll Spicy Salmon Roll And of course California Rolls. On one visit my sister got the Shrimp Tempura and it was superb. So it's always super fresh and rolling with flavor. It's the best. I haven't been back for dine in, in a few years. The food is as good as I remembered it. We all have the lunch options and it was plenty to eat! We came at 11am, and the lunch rush starts right after it!!! Overall food is worth going, however, we asked for a second container to pack our leftovers and was told no and that the small container is enough to stuff our food in it!! We have to asked a different server for a container since the first one wouldn't want to give us one. Many places with better ambience and services could not deliver this quality of sushi and dishes. And this is mighty important for a die hard Sushi lover. The sushi rolls were fresh and tasty alright but the sashimi were truly outstanding and very generous in size as well. The thick cut of fish allowed me to chew them and were very satisfying. Better than any joint I tried in Tulsa for sure. We also ordered a sea urchin nigiri but they didn't taste very special or gave me that ocean feel unfortunately. All around not a good experience. We came on a Saturday for lunch and the wait was about 45 minutes. Once we sat down, it took at least another 30-45 minutes to get our food and we were practically abandoned by our server. I had to hunt her down to ask where our appetizer was after 15-20 minutes and she gave me an attitude. A random employer did give us a free salad, which was nice, but there was no communication as to "sorry the service is so slow" or when to expect the food. Lastly, the food was not very good. I don't think the fish was fresh and it hurt my stomach. Not a place I'd recommend. Sushi Uni has fresh and delicious sushi. Lots of options for good lunch deals. Nice employees and great food! Fridays and Saturdays are a bit of a wait. They don't do reservations. It's first come first serve. So we usually call to see how long the wait is before we head to Sushi Uni. Also, they don't open on Sundays. The place is small and compact, but can fit a lot of people. We've ordered a lot of different things here, and most are pretty good. The only thing I have a complaint about is the crab salad. They put too much of that crunchy thing on it that it makes the salad very greasy and not good. Other than that, everything was good. I don't remember the names of the sushi rolls since we order so much. But all I do is show them a picture of what I want. Some of the pictures are from my video that I just took screenshots of. We go here a lot, and for some reason it took me so long to write a review about it. They do have alcoholic drinks here. The moonstone sake is one of the sakes that I can drink without making a face. This has been our favorite sushi spot for several years now, but I just had to write another review to share our experiences. During the pandemic, we have not chosen to dine inside and because this is a 20 minute drive for us, we looked at places closer to home for carryout. Needless to say, those were wasted experiences for us. We have come to the realization that a 20 minute drive there and back is well worth it for excellent sushi every time! They do a fantastic job of packing our food - the hot food stays hot and the cold food stays cold. That doesn't seem to be a big deal until you experience a restaurant that just doesn't try to keep things separated and that can easily ruin your whole meal once you get home. We have tried many different menu items over the years and while not everything is a favorite (although quite a few are!), everything is fresh, high quality seafood and is prepared well. We recently shared a meal from here with my son and daughter-in-law and for 4 sushi loving adults, we loved that we were completely satisfied (maybe even ate too much...) and spent only $90 (tax included). In comparison to other sushi places, we think that is a great price, especially knowing that they do not skimp on ingredients or the size of their rolls. read more

I got the egg drop soup while I was waiting. It is cold. I am cold. It was really good. Even the crispy noodles were round and good. Then came the sushi. And I tasted the peppermint roll. And wow!! They have white tuna. And it is alternated with the red tuna. It is perfectly spicy. I like spicy. This is just spicy enough that you taste the tuna, the rice, the avocado. The seared tuna roll has the slightest sliver of lemon on top. I was skeptical, but I get it now. Perfect balance. Overall, all of the tuna is devine. I love to sit at the bar. What was supposed to be a nice dinner with my friend turned into a near death experience. I was trying to enjoy my meal when a MASSIVE cockroach appeared on my plate and started crawling up the wall. A few moments later it went into a picture frame and disappeared. I can only hope it didn't find its way into the kitchen to contaminate the customers food. I tried to warn a worker but he denied it and said he would look into it but just ignored it. I am also DEATHLY allergic to cockroaches so this incident could have easily ended my life. I have attached proof below to show just how truly disgusted i am. I hope no other customers have to go through this and I have decided not to report this situation but hope something good can come out of it (CLEAN UP THE KITCHENS!!!) read more
