This has been my go-to Sushi place, especially during COVID. Why? Because they honour their Happy Hour prices for their To Go orders. Needless to say, if I have a sushi craving it's a quick call and my order is ready in 20min or less. They are also great with larger orders, so if in a large group don't worry but it may take a little longer to prepare. I love their rolls and honestly have never been disappointed. Today I came here with my friend because we usually love this place and we were craving sushi. Went up to the host stand and were told we could sit whenever so we chose a patio table. We waited for a while and weren't greeted. After about 15 minutes a table of four was seated right behind us, only to be served promptly and before we had even been acknowledged. I felt like I was in the twilight zone so I checked my phone to see what time I sent a text when I had sat down, and it had been around 20 minutes since we sat down and still weren't even spoken to. I came in in a Monday afternoon with my 9 yo son. The service was great. The ambiance was chill for a Monday afternoon which i appreciated. Everything was clean and orderly including the bathrooms. The food was great. My son got the chicken teriyaki bento box and loved the variety. I ordered 5 rolls/specialty pieces. They were all fantastic. I wish i had gotten the truffle scallops. We had the Happy Hour Specials - fried lobster roll was perfection - shrimp tempora roll, not so much - cucumber salad could not have been more perfect - Shrimp shumai was too dense but had the classic flavor you'd expect; texture was just off - Tuna cracker was a hit & miss; spicy Tuna was delicious and very well seasoned, but the rice cracker was chewy, way too thick, and texturally overpowering I'm going to give it another try as it clearly has potential. The food was fantastic! ( I ordered the chicken katsu curry along with sushi rolls. The stand out being the "Sweet Thang") I ate it all so fast I forgot to take a picture. The service was incredibly quick with everything coming out all at once, while it was a bit overwhelming, I'd rather have that than slow service any day. I have been on a sushi kick lately and started frequenting this place more often. A few of the sushi places around me are only open for dinner so this is one of the few available options for those looking to have sushi for lunch. They also offer their sushi lunch specials for both dine-in AND for pick-up, something I've taken advantage of a few times now. I like that the kitchen preps it with such care and detail. Everything is packaged up in a to-go container but then also wrapped in saran wrap to prevent any accidental leakage or other accidents (something I wish 95.5% of Chinese restaurants would improve upon). The sushi rolls I've tried are the over the rainbow roll, the cherry blossom roll, shrimp tempura roll, salmon roll, standard rainbow roll, and spicy tuna roll. All pretty on point, nothing super spectacular or flashy but enough to satisfy a sushi craving. I've only ever ordered sushi from here for take-out and on lunch special so the price value was always high. For dine-in, I've enjoyed from their 2pm-close happy hour menu which is pretty big and diverse. Their Sake (offered both hot and cold) is a great deal on HH. The inside atmosphere is bustling & trendy with a decent # of seats at the bar. During the months in which dining outside is enjoyable, they offer a big patio (outside bar seats also available). Met some friends here for lunch, since one of them had been here before. It wasn't busy, but the parking in Uptown Plaza is horrible. It's a fairly large restaurant that does offer patio seating, which we opted to sit outside since it was a nice day. Our waitress, Yvonne was very friendly and courteous; unfortunately, she was the only wait staff that was assigned to handle the patio area so there was a delay in getting our drinks and food order. We had a mix of their bento box specials and ala carte sushi orders. The food was good and I finally got the opportunity to try Uni sushi. The food was presented nicely too. This is some of the best sushi I have had! Despite it being a busy Saturday night, we were able to get oj the waitlist and get a table quickly, within about five minutes. Everything was great. We ordered several rolls, and an appetizer. Everything came out quickly and tasted so fresh and so good. The flavors were awesome and I particularly liked the wasabi mayo. It's creamy with just a hint of spice. Our waiter was Chris and he was awesome! I had a couple of requests (sauce on the side, etc.) and he went above and beyond to make sure everything was correct, to answer all of my questions and to ensure we had a good experience. He checked on us a number of times, and cleared away plates quickly. The vibes in here (no pun intended) were legit. The music they played is exactly what I like, so the atmosphere was just right for me. I thougt the price for what we got and how good the food ended up being was just right. Went to try out this place with the family. Located in central Phoenix, it's in a trendy strip mall. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well as a bar and sushi bar. Although it was busy, we were seating pretty quickly. I ordered the Katsu curry chicken and a California roll. It came with a bowl of miso soup(too many green onions). The Katsu was very good. It was served with a scoop of rice and broccoli. The California roll was good also. Service was a little slow but it was busy. Happy hour prices start at 2pm and end at closing. The food here is absolutely amazing, they do have a multitude of locations, but I do feel as if this one has the best food overall! I've been to all three of their establishments as I do live in Arcadia, but I often travel down to hit sushi vibe. They have a vegetable yakisoba that is packed full of flavor even if you don't add any protein. They're happy our menu is fantastic as well as their service. I've never been let down. I've come to this location with multiple groups of friends, and they all have enjoyed themselves as well as the food. Happy Hour daily from 2pm to Close offers some pretty good deals. Our go-to is always the Tootsie Roll. Other great choices are the Spicy Crab, Fried Squid Legs, Jalapeño Poppers, Shrimp Tempura, and the Chicken Fried Rice.
