First time here and it was great! I was with a group of girlfriends and we wanted a casual dinner before attending a concert at the Herberger Theater. This was perfect since we parked in the parking at Arizona Center which put us right across the street. The sushi (and other food) was fresh and delish. The staff was friendly as well.

The beef teriyaki, shrimp tempura, soup and salad were all amazing. The spicy shrimp roll was too spicy and inedible. Nice little place to eat in a cool area with other eateries and roller skating rink.

As someone who works in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen, I understand the pressure and chaos that come with the job but what I witnessed here was beyond unprofessional, it was downright unsafe. While waiting for my food, I saw a cook eating on the line while wearing gloves and then continue prepping food without washing his hands or changing gloves. That's a major health code violation, and it shows a complete lack of respect for the safety of customers. I brought it up, and instead of addressing it properly, the staff brushed it off with attitude and no accountability. No apology, no correction just excuses. I did receive a full refund. There's no excuse for this. If this is what they're doing in plain sight, I can only imagine what's happening in the back. I won't be returning, and I seriously hope this place gets a proper inspection soon.

This place is in Arizona Center actoss from the Sheraton. You order at the register and if you're dining in they bring your food to you. I ordered an appetizer, one roll and green tea. The gyoza were fried too hard so I didn't enjoy those so much, but the "tootsie roll" I ordered was big for the price and very fresh and delicious. Prices are reasonable and they have a good variety of rolls, bento boxes and meals. I'm in town for a conference and don't eat a lot for lunch so this place was perfect. I'm happy I found it.

They have really fantastic rolls, and they are all reasonably priced. Around $15 or $16 a roll. The fish is very high-quality and very well prepared. I will definitely be coming back.

We ordered chicken and beef pho for takeout. Service was slow and workers ignoring me. A little messy inside. Chicken and beef pho had ok flavor although no other sauce or bowl for pho was provided. Meat was probably pan fried chicken and beef. Vegetables on the side were looking old. Noodles overcooked, probably rushed.

I was staying across the street at the Sheraton and omaide was one of the few places that was near by for food options. It's open seating here in the restaurant. You go up to the register and order your food and then they will give you either pager if you're getting your food to go or a number if you're dining in and it will bring your food to you when it's ready. I ordered a meal set with spicy Korean beef. I got my food to go but the wait was quite long. I knew it was trouble when I saw a lot of other guests sitting around and waiting and looking defeated. I knew I was in for a long wait. About 35 to 40 minutes later I finally got my food. The salad that it came with was pretty good and the miso soup was good. And the bottled green tea was great By the end of my way I wasn't really hungry and was more tired than anything. This wasn't necessarily a busy time either. They were close to closing so maybe they just got behind on their orders. Who knows. This probably happens fairly often when they run way behind on their orders since the waitress wasn't really phased by how things were going. A lot of the other reviews are kind of hit or miss. Hopefully you have a decent experience when you come here. With the law of averages, you will have a positive experience.

Ordering went fine, they were very nice and attentive, it was very packed because an anime convention was happening and so it was extremely busy. We sat at a table that had leftover soda cups and trash, most tables were dirty and unattractive, BUT we overlooked that because again, busy time. We decided to still give it a try, and let the food speak for itself. The food came out fairly quick, but I was disappointed, not only were we served in cut out Styrofoam plates but the food was not very good, my friend and I ordered rice bowls and his burgogi meat was barely there , it was mostly rice , honestly a joke of a plate! I got the teriyaki chicken and let me tell you, it wasn't tasty. Both dishes were supposed to come with "steamed veggies" and that was also a joke, I had mostly bean sprouts and like a few strands of carrots. I was very disappointed, I ate most of my food cuz I was starving, but I'm definitely not coming back, so if you are looking for some good food, this ain't it, trust me.

This was the best ramen we have had. The beff ramen was potent with flavor and served steaming hot. It lacked nothing. The sesame chicken bowl was also delicious. The Las Vegas roll was a good touch. When your food is ready, it will be brought to you, one by one, so you know it's not just sitting around until the entire order is ready. Highly recommend and would like to visit again.

This place is great for what it is--quick, good, sushi. The ambience isn't fancy, but the fish is fresh and the sashimi was excellent. I'm hard on sushi rice and there's was just okay (thus the 4 star instead of 5), but it was beautiful sushi. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. Very pleasant service. read more

Ordered two sushi rolls, a miso soup, and a side salad. The sushi and salad were both excellent--fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The miso soup, however, was noticeably salty (something another reviewer mentioned as well, so it's not just me). This is a counter-service spot: you order at the front, and they bring the food to your table. The staff were friendly and doing their best despite being short-handed (only three people working during my visit). The place has an open layout, which makes cleanliness and organization very visible--unfortunately, things felt a bit disorganized at times. Tables were sticky when I arrived (though staff eventually wiped them down after I'd finished eating), and there was an odd, unpleasant odor coming from the floor drain near the soda machine. That said, the sushi quality was solid enough that I'd definitely return for the food. With a little attention to upkeep and organization, this spot could easily become a go-to for quick, tasty sushi. (Overall impression: Worth it for the sushi alone, but the ambiance and minor issues hold it back slightly.) read more

The miso soup was extremely salty would recommend skipping. The ramen was also salty but not the worst I've had in phoenix so it was tolerable and decent price. The lunch bowl had veryyy little meat in it although it did taste good, needed more sauce. The gyoza saved the meal, definitely recommend getting this as an add on. So crowded during convention time so need to find an off time to come to beat the crowd. On normal days I'm sure it's fine. read more

I ordered the bulgogi combo with miso soup and salad. The place wasn't very busy, with plenty of open seating, but I still felt rushed while eating. The server asked if I was finished even though I was still working on my meal, just because I wasn't actively eating at that moment. I spent over $20 for what felt like a mediocre meal and service. The ambiance inside was lacking as well. Not sure how the place got almost 4 stars when I think 3 is more accurate. read more

Got in late from a cross country flight, but I needed a bite before I went to sleep. This place was right near my hotel and the menu looked great, so I gave it a try. I went for lunch. I should have stopped at Jimmy John's. I had the rice bowl with Hawaiian chicken. Very small chicken pieces fried in batter. Chicken was overcooked and hard to eat. Very few chicken pieces. I would not order this dish if I were to try this place again. Service was fine. Panda express is far better in all ways. read more

Basically "fast food" quality sushi. I stopped in for lunch and was neither impressed with the atmosphere nor the quality (or lack thereof) of the sushi. The rolls I ordered were basically "death by rice". Not impressed at all and won't be back. read more

I went with a group of friends, and although the restaurant was quite busy, we were able to sit together at one of the large tables. When we walked in, we were greeted warmly, but since it was so busy, the staff didn't check on us much after bringing out our food. That said, the food was fantastic! The portions were generous, and while it wasn't very traditional Japanese cuisine, it was still delicious and great value for the price. My entire meal--chicken katsu, salad, soup, rice, and veggies--was only $14. Overall, it was a great experience. If you're looking for something affordable and tasty, this is definitely a great spot to try. read more

My friend and I visited this restaurant for some sushi, while in between sessions at the Urbana 25 Conference, and we are so glad we stopped by! Nisha was amazing and so hospitable, from the moment we got to the restaurant. I asked for a very specific item and the staff did everything necessary to make sure that I got what I wanted. They hired a new server who has a nasty attitude. He is not busting the tables down, which makes less seating room. I went outside but it was too hot so I got my hand sanitizer out of my purse and began to clean a table myself so I could sit down. This server came to the table with a dirty rag wiping over what I already cleaned, mad with hostility. When he finished, the table was sticky and stinky. I didn't say nothing I cleaned it again in silence. When he brought out food he slammed it on table. The food is still delicious though. It's dirty here , get take out!! read more

I really like this place! It is in Arizona Center where you have the AMC Movies and the Rose Theater. We were in the Center for Drunk Shakespeare at the Rose Theater (a whole other review!) and wanted a place nearby to grab dinner. Omoide is a perfect quick bite/order at the counter, with delicious food before your shows! I recommend checking them out before you head to your other entertainement (they are only open untill 9pm). You will not be dispappointed. read more

Small place by / on ASU downtown phoenix so my classmates and I decided to try it out after our night class. We were greeting right when we walked in and handed menus, you order at the register and find your own seat. There is outdoor and indoor seating, the food came out quite fast (we were the only people in the place). I got shrimp ramen it was about $13 and I got Nigiri salmon(about $8) IT CAME IN A CUTE BOAT and they were both good, the salmon had a good texture to it. I then got some spicy tuna (about $8) togo and it was the perfect amount or spice! I would definitely go back, I enjoyed it. read more

We got the Pad Thai and some sushi rolls i think it was the arizona roll. Everything was really good and the servers are very friendly. It's a casual restaurant with good food. They have a lot of menu items but everything I tried was delicious. Definitely will stop by again next time Im in town. read more

Fantastic! Got the Spicy Korean Beef Noodles, and yes, it's spicy! Very good! Noodles, veggies and of course beef. And it's big portions. Also got the New Mexico Roll. DELICIOUS! We arrived a little after 5pm and the restaurant was mostly empty. But in the next 20 minutes it filled up and there was open sitting at the bar only. The mood was initially quiet but quickly turned more up beat as the restaurant filled and pop rock music was playing. We asked our waiter a few questions about a few of their rolls and he was very helpful with guidance and recommendations. We ordered Salmon Lemon, Spicy Tuna, Salmon Avocado Maki and California rolls to share for two. This restaurant uses purple rice rather than traditional white rice. This was the first time we have tried a sushi roll made with purple rice and we both loved it. It added a nutty flavor and hearty texture. Purple rice is similar to wild rice and far nutritionally superior to white rice with more antioxidant and fiber. Shortly after we ordered we were served a potsticker dish. I mentioned that we did not order the item and were informed the appetizer was complementary. We thanked the server and tasted the dish. The potstickers were nicely pan fried and had a great crust and flavorful chicken filling. Delicious! About five minutes later our rolls were delivered. All were fresh tasting and delicious. Our favorite was the Salmon Lemon roll. We loved the pop the lemon added. Honorable mentions to the Spicy Tuna roll, very well done, excellent balance of heat and flavors. We truly enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to returning. Highly recommended for a quality sushi experience!

It was topped with poke, and we would not let them take the plate until we'd scooped up every little morsel! Cocktails and service were excellent as well. We definitely ended up with a pricier meal than what we'd planned next door, but it was totally worth it! I wish I'd taken pics of the beautifully plated dishes, but I was too just eating!

You could tell just how short staffed they were and you could hear that there's only 1 sushi chef 1 regular chef and that's it for the kitchen. I don't know who is managing the shift schedule, maybe it's because we came on Memorial Day, but this type of service is not acceptable. I don't take this on the employees at all. They were so incredibly nice and apologetic and doing the best they can and even the front of house was now bussing tables to help out!!! Lom Wong is the first name that pops up in my head when recommending a favorite restaurant in the Valley. Lom Wong is what I will be naming my first-born child. My first visit was back in 2023 on June 10, the day my life changed for the better. They have a creative menu with seasonal changes that no other Thai restaurant can do. If you're looking for a pad thai, look somewhere else and please expand your horizons. I have tried almost every dish here and two things I will always order is their green mango salad and crab curry. I prefer mango over papaya, and it is the most perfect, refreshing salad I have ever had. The mango is always fresh, and the toasted coconut and peanuts on top pair so well with the lime and fish sauce. The stir-fried crab curry is extremely impressive with their generous portion of crab meat and fragrant turmeric curry. A few other dishes I highly recommend are their beef shank curry, seabass curry, and the stir-fried Tom Yum wide noodles. You really can't go wrong with any of the dishes here! I will be coming back to try the fried whole branzino. We've tried arai kodai, which is their chef's choice option and they personalize the meal for you based on your preferences and group size. Every dish they brought out was unique and so so good. For $55 per person, we thought this was great value considering how full we got and the variety of dishes we were able to try (including some that were off-menu). I also love that they promote eating family-style here and bring out all the dishes as they're ready - exactly how food is meant to be enjoyed. The ambiance is amazing for a special occasion or date night. It will for sure impress. Come here if you want a solid, just incredible meal from amazing people who are passionate about their food! Some of the spiel and verbiage that the team had was a little pretentious and awkward. I saw them "kindly" kicking out a table for sitting past their reservation time. I've never ever seen a restaurant do that before. Really not that bad but really not worth the $20-$40 price tags either. I'm open to coming back and trying other dishes. I am always down for a peach mimosa and their chicken and biscuits with Old Bay gravy. It's one of those meals that keeps me coming back. The hybrid indoor-outdoor atmosphere is a great touch, and the lawn games help create a fun, relaxed environment that encourages people to stick around and enjoy themselves. During football season, they make sure the games are on, which makes this a perfect Sunday brunch spot for my wife and me. She gets brunch, I get football. Actually, that's not entirely true. I also get brunch, because brunch is delicious, and anyone who disagrees can go suck an Eggs Benedict. Great food, great atmosphere, and one of my favorite places to spend a Sunday morning.

We ordered: One steak pho One chicken pho One order of egg rolls One order of spring rolls One order of pork fried rice One Thai tea Everything was served at a timely manner. The spring rolls were delicious, fresh, and the peanut sauce on the side gave it a good touch. The egg rolls were hot and crispy. The pork fried rice was flavorful and more then enough for us three to share. The pho's were both really good. The broth was served hot, had really good flavor, and was served with a lot of noodles and meat. Service was good. They had people going around picking up plates as we were done with hem. The inside is small but welcoming. We had a great time!

My friends and I was so excited when I saw this Sushi Bar downtown next to AMC theater? It was a very busy day. I have a very good experienced here in this Restaurant Omoide Sushi and Noodle Bar. I wasn't sure what I'm going to eat but then a very Beautiful Cashier came to see us and help me the menu. She's really nice and very very pretty. She explained all the menu to me and Oh my God I love the Edamame how she cook it for me ,It was absolutely perfect? and miso soup with side of rice, Las Vegas roll and Gyoza. Nothing to fascinate about this place! This was an average Japanese restaurant that was underwhelming. The Ramen Noodle dish I ordered suggested it would be spicy with seafood. Well, I had to add additional spice to taste and the seafood hardly existed in the dish. The broth was watery and bland. It was a way to far from I expected (thick broth and flavorful). Portion sized were huge but the important thing for me was the taste and quality of the food and I did not experience it here. I just enjoyed the warm service and comfortable place inside. Usually stop in here with my husband before a movie, but the theater is closed and was feeling sushi so we decided to stop in. This is our 3rd time coming here and the sushi and service is always good. I'm not sure about the negative feedback, but we've never had any issues here. The Arizona Center is also pretty dead right now so if you're looking for a good meal downtown this is the place especially if you love sushi as much as I do. I went with the Big Bear Cali roll and spicy tuna roll and both were excellent. My husband tried the Marilyn MonRoll which we've never seen anywhere else which was also excellent. Would definitely recommend trying this place for those that love sushi. read more

The place was small and it was packed when I was there last night. I was a server before at a sushi restaurant so when I saw that there was only one server and one sushi chef, I sort of knew that it would take a while. I have to say I was impatient because it felt like forever, but was not disappointed with the Sashimi Salad. Their fish quality is quite fresh. More than many other small sushi places I've been to. I also had the Denver Bronco Roll. Wasn't too crazy about that or other rolls on the menu. They can definitely use some time to revamp their sushi rolls. It's better to have a few amazing rolls than a lot of mediocre ones. That's just my suggestion. read more

In town for business and felt like sashimi so stopped at this conveniently located sushi place. After recovering from sticker price of the outrageous prices i decided to press on as i love sashimi. So got a 6 piece sashimi and sushi plate for 20 bucks. I should have had the new york steak next door. Far from fresh sashimi and sushi and quite honestly some pieces tasted bad as in expired. The atmosphere was decent and service adequate. If you are a sushi conesuer skip this, if you are on a budget...well nevermind just skip it. read more

Decided to stop in for lunch today as it's one of the few places still open at the Arizona Center. I was feeling sushi but ended up getting the Spicy Korean Beef combo. I've never had Korean spicy beef before but it was excellent especially if you like spicy foods. Portions were great as well as the service. If you want a restaurant quality meal at an affordable price try them out they have great lunch specials. Will stop by again for sure. read more

I had spicy salmon and salmon a regular salmon roll here with my friend and it was really good. We got here 3 mins after they had opened, server sat us to a table and we sat down and ordered. We like salmon, so we ordered 2 salmon rolls like i had said above, and our rolls tasted extremely fresh and clean. Rice was not dry and avocado and cucumber had really good texture! Definitely going to come dine here again in the future!!! read more

We had some great sushi at Omoide before heading to the AMC Theaters next door. I ordered the Rainbow Roll, Udon and a spicy tuna roll and my friend had the Korean spicy noodle dinner special. Honestly not sure what these reviews are about. Food was great, and service was excellent. Stopped in here for lunch and got a roll with some nigiri sushi with a friend before a movie. The theater was closed though I guess I should have checked. They validated my parking though and had some good sushi so all good. read more

I love their food, whether I'm eating in or picking up it is always fantastic. Typically I get the Korean Spicy Ramen in the cooler months and the chicken katsu in the warm months. The shrimp tempura is perfect! I have also been enjoying the New Mexico roll as well. Can't recommend this place enough. read more

Highly recommend the ace roll here if you like salmon and eel sauce. You can literally never go wrong with eel sauce and if you like salmon the ace roll is a great combo. I stop in here about once a week to get my sushi fix and it never disappoints. If you're in downtown Phoenix try them out read more
