This was an incredible omakase experience at a very reasonable price Food: we ordered the premium lunch menu - which offered so much food for just $150 (for two people)! One of my favorites was the sea salt medium fatty tuna- it is amazing! There was a great variety of things. Service: The 'host' walked around and was very attentive. He explained what we were eating as well! Everyone was so kind Ambience: [[HIGHLIGHT]]great ambience: there is a big table that you sit with others - and it was a nice experience[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The dinner was way above my expectations. Came here for an early birthday celebration and it was a great experience. The sushi was fresh and tasted great. Only complaint was the truffle powder was a little much...to the point where it made my mouth dry. Could probably lighten up the saucing a little bit. But overall the sushi was good and great quality. The server came around to individually tell us what the fish of the day is for each one of those, and was highly attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a very nice setting at the bar and easy to converse with the whole party.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The fact that there's no tipping here just made the overall experience even better since it was still great service regardless.

Been to 2 separate locations(other being the East village location) and this is actually the first Sushi W I've been to, to celebrate my anniversary with my wife. Love it here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fresh fish and intimate setting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Best bang for your buck for sushi.

Amberjack Sushi and the Chutoro with Soy Sauce so good! They also play a series of games for free items off their menu.

Food was so good as always. Company was very kind and enjoyed the marinated tuna for a la carte. Cant wait to come back.

omakase on the more affordable side ($68 for premium, 16 pieces total). [[HIGHLIGHT]]the space itself is intimate and dimly lit, giving the impression of a higher end place while still being casual enough to bring your friends for a night out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] came here with a group and was seated promptly -- service was friendly and attentive. the servers were on top of walking us through the menu. little bonus included a few interactive experiences to keep things fun: one was a dice roll (doubles got you a free drink), the other was a last man standing rock paper scissors game for two extra pieces of chutoro. my party had two winners and it definitely elevated their night. food wise, the fish was pretty high quality especially given the affordable pricing. each piece was fresh and paired well with a simple garnish (eg soy sauce, sea salt, truffle powder, etc). the choice to do two chutoro pieces was interesting (not my favorite but good fish overall so can't complain too much). rice was also sauced which added some nice depth of flavor, but at the same time made the rice fall apart sometimes while picking it up. despite any downsides, the quality and quantity versus price makes this experience very much worth it, and i would recommend it for anyone who's in the area and looking to treat themselves without making a huge hole in the wallet.

my first ever omakase experience did not disappoint ! i was looking for an affordable and well rated omakase spot, and stumbled across sushi w on social media. i was surprised they offered a 38$ lunch menu with 10 pieces of nigiri and 2 rolls, which sounds too good to be true. however, this went well over my expectations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]we were greeted immediately by dim lighting and the host who sat us at the bar where we got to see our sushi chef prepare each piece.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] for the sushi, all of the fish is fresh and buttery. my most favorite is the arctic char where they seared and added some fresh garnishes. this piece was so good that i just had to order it again a la carte. overall, i would say all of the sushi tasted delicious and not one tasted bad. but not only is the food delicious, the service is top notch. everyone is super polite ! they also named each and every piece of sushi they gave us and kept our glasses full. sushi w is indeed a W !

Stopped here for the lunch omakase. My friend and I were pleasantly surprised with each of the nigiri pieces. Definitely worth the price. Will be back!

I will be back Yummy, intimate, and like an episode of the bear :D Such yummy fish and such a good omakase deal of $38 for lunch. They have intimate sessions of ~12 people so it's such a small space. Waiting room in first area and dining area in the back! The $38 including tip is too good to be true for a 10 course meal + 2 hand rolls. Was so full after too. I enjoy a chill reg but intimate vibe, and this checked what i wanted to go for. OH PLUS we came for a bday and they turned off all the lights n made everyone sing happy birthday HAHA such a shared experience w the others eating. Such a lively crew

Had my first omakase experience here, was blown away by the quality of the fish! For under $60, we had a 13 course omakase dinner. Service was extremely friendly and we had a fun experience. Quality of the fish was super good for the price point, savored every bite. I loved 12/13 of the courses, the snow crab hand roll was just alright. Definitely worth a visit, but make sure to reserve in advance!

Probably one of my favorite omakase I've tried in the city thus far the quality of the fish was great just wish we had about an extra 10-15 minutes to eat and enjoy it a bit slower. Otherwise I really enjoyed the games they incorporated to win food and their interactions with the customers. Every bite was good and I didn't have one I didn't enjoy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is fine nothing too special but the food makes up for it![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Great omakase deal in the city. Very intimate seating with only 10-12 people dining in at the same time. Sushi was delicious but I can't say it's the best I've had. I wish their dining experience could have been a bit more interactive and engaging. You have the option to order additional pieces at the end. They have a no tip policy just like in Japan!

So, after my partner rejected my proposal to dedicate a line item of our monthly budget to Omakase. I needed to find some more affordable eats. I was never going to give up sushi so, the hunt was on! Food: 5/5 I am sucker for early arrival combo and they know it. If you get two apps (~$16 total) before your reservation you get a free drink (i.e., sake, wine,etc.). You know I was hooked. Then, you finally sit down to eat and these prices (especially for NYC) are beyond reasonable since NO TIPPING!! For my friend and I we got the Omakase ($68 each), double app combo ($28), more drinks ( $12), and extra sushi ($13) only for ~$206! You know I am coming back. Like some places be like $135 just for Omakase. Service: 4.5/5 I was slightly disappointed since the staff and chef did not really talk to us that much. Like they were explaining stuff to the group, but I was hoping to talk to the chef more. That is not to say they were not attentive, but I was hoping to be little less formal. All in all, I would definitely go back and going to try their UES location next month.

Made a reservation for a Friday night and had an incredible meal here. Honestly, I don't want to tell people about this... that's how good it is. My boyfriend and I both did the premium omakase, which was $68pp (hospitality included). Right off the bat, you cannot beat that price for omakase downtown. What's even better is how good it was. Highlights were the marinated tuna, medium fatty tuna, squid, arctic char, yellowtail and eel. The quality was really there, and it's definitely one of the best affordable omakase I've tried. Just an amazing meal all around. Can't wait to go back!

The slices aren't thin, delicate, and melt-in-your-mouth as one usually gets in a sit down; they are extra thick, and I had to really bite down on some of the pieces. The rice was nicely seasoned and was cooked well + portions are also big to match those thiccccc salmon slices. To be honest, I was getting a little nauseated after 5 pieces, haha~ They were definitely delicious but I'd probably just eat 3 or 4 pieces and share with a friend! It was easy to text the number on the website and coordinate a pickup time, and the staff was friendly when I arrived. The restaurant is a little hard to find as the windows are blinded and the sign is a piece of paper on the door.

The katsu was very, very moist on the inside, with a crispy batter that was so light it was almost flavorless. I honestly couldn't really tell the difference between the tenderloin and pork loin. Overall the dish had a very light flavor and I added quite a bit of sauce and wasabi. Some of the less memorable dishes were the eggplant agebitashi and truffle rice. The eggplant agebitashi tasted like a cross between an eggplant parm and a bolognese. The truffle rice had a very strong truffle flavor that ended up overpowering everything else in the dish. I thought the slices of raw button mushrooms were a little strange. I really enjoyed the sabazushi. The pieces of mackerel were thick and carried a lot of that characteristic mackerel oily flavor, but the oiliness was cut by enough vinegar to balance everything out. The niku udon was also a surprise hit. The noodles were wide, flat, super slurpy, and the broth carried a deep umami flavor. Overall, I had a pretty solid experience here.
