Extremely consistent across locations I got the omakase. So delicious and amazing. Not too crowded. Loved the vibe.

Everything was really good and delicious. It's a small intimate space. We came on a week day night when it wasn't too busy and were able to have the omakase without the reservation. Probably the snapper was my favorite fish, super soft and tender. But everything was pretty good, and it was nice seeing them being made by the chefs. My friend and I both felt that the wagyu uni Tamago dish was too overwhelming, it was so umami it is hard to appreciate each individual ingredient as well as when they are solo. Would definitely come again to try some time! Service was nice and everyone was very friendly.

I have tried many $100 sushi places and many times they are disappointing. This was actually not disappointing and I left very full. I told myself I would get the smaller omakase, but of course my eyes were bigger than my stomach. The space is quite large with a large counter and some table seats. I think you don't need a rsvp unless plan on coming on a Friday or weekend. The place is full but not hard to get in. The staff are very nice. They gave me a free piece of Sushi and a shot. I declined the shot but happily ate the sushi. The only thing I really did not like was the oyster, it did not taste fresh and it was actually very off putting. Everything else was delicious. The wagyu caviar spoon was amazing. The hand roll at the end didn't have the freshest tuna but that is to be expected. Overall it is one of the better $100 sushi places out there. I would return but might get the smaller course.

Came to NY from Boston for the weekend and wanted to try a new omakase spot. The inside was really clean and spacious. We had a baby in our party and the staff was very friendly about the entire situation! They offered us a seat by the corner where we can be more private. It is also very stroller and car seat friendly! We kept the baby in the stroller :) They offer two different menus- I chose the $69 12 course with one hand roll. We enjoyed each piece and had no complaints about anything there. We also got a bottle of sake which paired really well with the sushi. Overall we had a wonderful experience- the food and staff were amazing! Highly recommend

Omakase in NYC is usually quite pricy. Given the quality and service, this was one of the best experiences I have had so far. This was a pretty reasonable price point for some of the best fish in the city. My personal favorites were the hamachi, albacore tuna, and kanpachi. Our server was really kind and so was our chef. The vibes were very welcoming and friendly. We had complimentary shots of sake as well which was the cherry on top!

I like this place :) I usually go to only Japanese owned sushi restaurant, but this place is exception. Fish here is very fresh , and not too much source on. It means I could feel the real good taste of fish. The shape of sushi is perfect, very clean. If someone who loves American sushi, this place also have wonderful Big Mac sushi :) Everyone is very kind and friendly service. I am glad they opened in upper Eastside. $69 for omakase ,with this quality, it's the best deal in NYC.

Was excited to see that Sushi by M made its way to the Upper East Side as I've been to the other location in East Village. Came here to celebrate my friend'a birthday. Place is spacious, clean and modern looking. The waitress and sushi chef were super attentive and checked up on us from time to time. We opted for the $100 omakase course and added on the Big Mac at the end. Each sushi was fresh and the toppings complimented each piece well. The chef made a special sushi cake for my friend's birthday. What a surprise!

I can not say enough great things about our experience. I've been to many omakases now and this has to be my favorite now! From the amazing chef Ming to the creative pieces- we enjoyed it thoroughly from start to finish. I honestly could have sat there for another hour enjoying more and more! We got the $100 omakase that includes 2 apps, 15 pieces and a hand roll and I thought that was extremely reasonable for everything they served us! Some of the pieces included sturgeon caviar, toro, a5 waygu, foie gras and uni!! It's hard to say which piece was my favorite because I would think one was my favorite until the next delicious piece came. I think the spoon with foie gras, a5 waygu and uni or the toro with caviar may have been my fav, but ugh it was all great!! I highly recommend visiting them at one of their 3 locations in NYC!! This one was UES and our chef was Ming, he was fantastic!! It's a very chill vibe inside, semi low lighting in a sleek- no frills spot.

I've been to another one of their locations in the Noho - East Village area and loved it so was very excited to hear they started a new location in the UES. Place is very clean and modern looking, as you'd expect for a new restaurant. Our waitress was friendly and checked on us often. They don't sell alcohol but offered us free sake which paired nicely with the sushi. Chef Kevin was a master of his trade. Food came out quickly and was delicious. Fish was fresh and many of the toppings (like caviar) beautifully complimented the fish. Under $70 for good omakase is a fair price in my opinion. I will be recommending this place to my friends in the area.

Sushi was good, not great. The fish was fresh but the rice was a bit dry. Service was decent. Nice atmosphere. Worth a try.

I really dug this place! After being let down recently by a omakse spot I was a little cautious... but this was a total banger! Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and even sitting at a table instead of the bar there was a ton of ambiance & the staff was so nice! Shout out to Annie who was such a delight. I will for sure be hitting this spot up again and next time doing the larger tasting! The scollop and fatty tuna were unreal. The oyster was...so bright and light. Loved this place! Already planning to go back and check out their lunch deal.

The atmosphere here was a bit more lively and crowded compared to the more relaxed vibe of the UWS spot. I enjoyed my meal even more this time around. I started with the beet salad, which was delicious and offered great value given the generous portion size. it featured sliced beets, arugula, goat cheese, and walnuts. I also had my eye on the hijiki soybean salad--which is a bit smaller and reportedly homemade--so I may try that next time, along with the warm mushroom salad which looked very tasty. The edamame was standard but served as a nice starter. For my main rolls, I chose the salmon avocado and the yellowtail scallion. Both were very fresh and definitely worth ordering again. The salmon avocado roll had a nice touch of sesame seeds on the rice, while the yellowtail scallion was prepared with the seaweed on the outside. My boyfriend's sushi entree looked excellent, so I am considering that or the sushi-sashimi combo for my next visit. The entrees provide a substantial amount of food, and I especially appreciate that they allow you to choose which roll comes with your meal.
