Great quality food, extremely fair price points. Very intimate relaxed setting. Service 10/10 Would definitely recommend for date night no doubt. I heard the chef worked at some world famous michilin stared restaurants and even spent extended periods of time living in Japan. It's obvious. This place has a bright future.

It's a cute little basement bar with some tables along with a bar top to sit and a cozy little area in the back to sit at if you're with a couple of friends wanting to celebrate something or just to hangout. You see to my surprise they told me they no longer serve sushi and that they changed the whole concept of the place and the menu. I was a little disappointed but I decided I was there already so I would work with what they had to offer. I saw they had a decent happy hour menu, but I decided to order a drink that was not on the Happy Hour menu. Their version of a Lychee Martini. It was strong and flavorful, but very refreshing. For my tapas options I went with some Arancini and Zucchini flowers. I didn't want too much to eat after having such a huge breakfast. The arancini was flavorless but really good with the marinara sauce it came with, and to my surprise the zucchini flowers were amazing. It was piping hot, crispy with the most intense cheese pull, served with some spicy sauce and marinara as well. I went back and forth with dipping them into each condiment. I told the guy who took my order and served me that they should bottle that marinara, it was delicious. I don't know how this place use to be but I'm interested in returning for another visit because I was definitely feeling the whole vibe of the place along with the food. I think it might be a good place to visit for the whole Happy Hour of it all. Thumbs up and Happy Yelping!

Get the Premium Omakase, it's worth the price. One other tip that would apply to any omakase, or any other curated dining experience, is that if you go with friends, it's best to rendezvous elsewhere first for drinks, coffee, etc. and do your chit chatting, gossiping, and catching up there beforehand. When you get to Shihou be prepared to have your conversation be (politely) interrupted by the introduction and explanation of each course. It's a curated experience so enjoy the opportunity to engage with the staff.

We walked in without a reservation as a party of 2 and were seated at the counter with no wait. The chefs and other servers provided great and friendly service, and each course was so delicious in flavors, textures, and fish quality. The classic wood decor, ambient lighting, and gentle music they played all helped foster a calm and relaxing atmosphere, which was perfect for our end-of-a-long-day meal. I would definitely come back again!

It has a nice aquatic vibe all throughout the restaurant with different rooms to dine in. I started with the seafood platter. For $60, you get a whole tray full of crab legs, lobster, shrimp, mussels, clams, corn, and potatoes. I'm not a big seafood boil person but this one was valid. I enjoyed it. It was random but they also have popcorn but it was good so I'm not complaining. Then I ordered the popular honey garlic wings with the trifecta: Mac & cheese, candied yams, and collard greens. The wings were crispy and fresh. Plus the honey garlic sauce was really good. I understand the hype. I seen the lobster fries all over my feed so I ordered them. They use thick cut fries and the lobster on top is creamy. For my second platter I got Catfish with steamed cabbage and potato salad. You can tell they freshly fry the fish. Plus the batter is seasoned well. The cabbage lowkey has a kick which I liked and the potato salad has a subtle sweetness. I'm not mad at it though. Lastly I ordered the lobster Mac. Coated with a whole layer of cheese. You get lobster bits all throughout. Service was good. Lighthouse is definitely a solid spot whether you're taking out or dining in with a lot of options to choose from.
