Finally got to try this place, we came around lunch time, very spacious, plenty of parking, bathrooms outside. The decor is set up just like the one in Orlando as well. It's $35 AYCE all Sunday & Saturday. You can choose anything from sashimi- to hibachi- to sushi rolls. So many options... The sashimi cuts were much thicker than I would prefer, making it a tad bit difficult to eat. The tuna sashimi wasn't as fresh. And the seared salmon could've been seared a bit longer. Came in around 6pm for dinner, we were immediately seated by Ella. There's was not even a moment to think, Alyssa took great care of us. Sushi Yama has come to Pembroke Pines! This spot is located on the corner of Palm Ave & Pines Blvd, taking over the old Bru's Room location. Sushi Yama is a made-to-order AYCE spot. From sushi rolls to hibachi, they have everything made fresh once you order it. We went over the weekend and they had all day dinner pricing which was around $35. Since I don't eat as much as I used to, I don't think this is entirely for me but I still wanted to try it out! The food was super good and fresh. The space is definitely still new with very attentive servers. We had two servers come up to us introducing themselves and taking our drink orders so I don't know if they have specific sections for servers. Alexa was our server and she was amazing! She always checked in on us and our food came out fast. Our favorite roll was the caterpillar roll. We only tried two rolls during this visit since we don't have as big appetites as we used to. Definitely come hungry since the rolls are full rolls! The hibachi was good but make sure to note that you only get the protein for hibachi and you need to order the friend rice or noodles separate. Decided to try this place during their Lunch AYCE hours on a Monday. Place was not too busy, lots of seating indoor and outdoor. The furniture fit the theme, enjoyed the bonsai and Japanese themed decor. The menu had a lot of options even though it was lunch. If you order a bunch at a time, they will creat a large tray of the sushi/rolls that you ordered. Really convenient and space saving. Pros: We enjoyed the nigiri, hand rolls, fried tempura and appetizers. Everything came out freshly made, perfectly fried and arrived quicker than anticipated. Cons: The Shu Mai wasn't bad but caught me off guard that it tasted fishy. My first order of salmon nigiri looked amazing but the second order the salmon looks dull and without color. Recommendations: I wish there was a sashimi option for lunch, I understand the business model but maybe offer a per person limit on sashimi or maybe include the option if placing an order of 30+ pieces at a time since you charge for uneaten leftovers anyways Overall I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. This place is definitely in our top 3 all you can sushi places. Beautiful and clean. It is a sit down all you can eat so you order and they bring it to you. They have a huge variety of cooked and raw rolls, hibachi, fried rice and noddles. Amazing list of appetizers as well! We truly loved this place. We experienced both the lunch and dinner buffet to compare the two, and while both were great, the dinner buffet was definitely our favorite because it offered a much larger variety of dishes and more choices overall. The ambiance was wonderful, especially for larger groups. The restaurant is very spacious, clean, and comfortable, which made it easy for our whole family to relax and enjoy our meals together. So happy that this place popped up in our area. We went there for dinner on their soft opening day and we left with a happy tummy Basically it' an AYCE concept but every order must be done through your server. Initially we thought that it was gonna be a hassle but after a few orders we got used to how everything is supposed to be. They have all the sushi you could think of and then some. Also, they have hibachi and tonkatsu's as part of their many options. The vibe of the restaurant is refreshing and aesthetic wise very pleasing to the eyes. Had a super great experience at Sushi Yama! First of the decor inside was very nice and the entire restaurant was super clean. We did the AYCE weekend lunch which is the same as the dinner price. Our server was fantastic when it came to answering questions that we had. The ayce style at this restaurant is that you order what you want with the server. The food came quickly and everything was super tasty! The only thing I didn't like was the diet coke that I ordered it seemed like maybe the flavoring needed to be changed. My wife and I stopped in famished. We decided to try the "All you can eat". My new favorite restaurant!!!! Our server Ben was knowledgeable and extremely personable. You have to ask for him when you come in. He won't disappoint! Food was fast and so damn tasty! We were able to experience something from the entire menu with zero waste with Ben's guidance.
