We found ourselves unexpectedly in this area of Hollywood, hungry after visiting friends here. It's a Sunday around 1:30, our usual brunch adventure time! After a quick yelping, we found another nearby Sushi Yama, like the one we LOVE is Orlando near Disney! We arrived to find plentiful free accessible parking in the strip mall. The restaurant is big and bright with a big nice bar area in the indoor patio style room. Lots of seating here. We were seated immediately. It is NOT a buffet, but waiter sit down service and more than just sushi. What sets this one apart from the other all you can eat Sushi Yama is you are NOT REQUIRED to pay all you can eat, even if others in your party elect to! Hubby paid 35.95 which is a steal for him, and I got my usual two cooked rolls. Drinks are refillable with exception of juices & specialty or alcohol. My rolls were good, not exceptional at 5.95 each, hubby's dishes were beautifully presented and he said they were great. Staff were great, although a bit slow due to AUCE. They were great with our quiet & invisible service dog. I spilled water & it seeped through table on top of poor Ahsoka! They mopped it up well. Thanks! If you're looking for a nice comfortable bright sit down service with good quality food choices for AUCE at reasonable prices, this is it. Yay! Thanks for following me, Happy yelping in hot summer 2026! ~Tami in Miami

So glad this place opened! I love the idea of all you can eat sushi where it's not sitting out for everyone to breathe on. I've been a few times now, one time the service was a bit slow but the others were great. The restaurant is much bigger than the pictures would lead you to believe, and feels very bright and airy. The food is generally pretty good, although sometimes when I've ordered the tuna sushi it has that sinew in it that gets stuck in my teeth, which i hate. I'm sure this won't be an issue for most people. Be warned the rolls are HUGE. I wish you had the option to order either the full roll or a half roll so you could try more variety, so you might want to go with a group. The menu says no sharing, which is kind of weird if everyone is getting all you can eat? But no one has seemed to mind when we have shared, so I'm not really sure why that's on there. The presentation of the sushi rolls is beautiful, I think the flowers on the plates are such a nice, small touch. The hibachi steak is amazing, I'm not sure what cut it is, but we've ordered medium cook and it's so tender. Highly recommend! The pineapple fried rice is also a hit; if you order hibachi it doesn't come with rice, so you'll have to pick one and order it separately. (Kind of nice, in case you don't want to fill up on rice) It's worth noting that the lunch menu offers Teriyaki chicken, but not the dinner/weekend menu; my mom was disappointed about that. After the first visit, when we had planned to come back with a group, the server told us they accept reservations; but when i later called (they were too busy for me to bother them at that time) they told me they don't, so you might want to time your arrival accordingly. I'd probably give it 4.5 stars. Overall very happy to have this place, will be back again and again.

Officially has taken the crown for top Sushi place in Pines. Sushi is amazing, fantastic selection, if you've been to other locations, you know exactly what to expect, and they deliver. Staff is friendly and service is very fast, they have a whole team of sushi chefs working, and the wait staff are always running back and forth. Ambiance is fantastic, they did a great job with the decor including the everything from the walls to the flooring to the random themes for the dining areas.

First time dining at Sushi Yama and our lunch experience was better than what we expected. The interior is clean and the atmosphere was inviting. Even for lunch, I would say it was pretty crowded at around 245ish. Our server was welcoming, personable, and professional. Because of high volume, it did take him a little while to reach our table and take our drink orders along with our food orders. Some dishes like the salads came out almost right away within minutes. Some dishes like sushi rolls and nigiri's took about 25 minutes to come out. What took the longest time was the tempuras. Overall though, the experience was worth our time and money. The food quality is pretty decent too. If I must say one thing to warn the future goers, don't order too many tempura dishes because their tempura batter isn't the best. Everything else was decent including the teriyaki's and the stir fried noodle dish we tried. The hand rolls are huge so don't order too many at once. Yes I would recommend this place to others. Yes I wouldn't mind coming back in the future. Thank you sushi Yama for a nice first time lunch experience!

I am a recurring customer who hasn't been disappointed! Every server that has taken care of me has been attentive, kind, and charismatic - something I can appreciate. If you want authentic delicious Japanese / Asian cuisine, this is a perfect place to indulge and try a little bit of everything.

Been waiting for this location to open for some time now! Tried them in orlando and fell in love at once! Great quality and tasting food all for one price. I do like how they bring you little by little at a time. Everything was delicious. Not one item I was disappointed with. The decor inside is beautiful, calming and soft tones, definitely nice We had the honor of having Selena as our waiter, and she is just the sweetest and most patient person. She explained everything well and clearly. Never had an issue waiting for any items. I really felt like Selena almost made us feel like family. Overall happy about everything this new location has brought. Theres not a thing I would change.

There aren't many spots in SoFlo that offer AYCE sushi, so I was pretty excited to visit when I heard this opened!! Inside is very clean, well lit, and VERY spacious! I went on a Friday around 7pm, we were able to be seated right away. You get to order whatever you like from a menu with no limitations, and all the sushi dishes are pretty fresh! Especially the appetizers. Definitely try the clam soup, it's seasoned well and not too salty. Our server was very friendly, and checked in on us quite frequently to take new orders. New orders didn't take long to come out as well I would recommend to come with a big group so you can try different dishes, because the serving portions are quite large and it may be difficult to try an array of options with a small party. Otherwise this restaurant is definitely worth a visit!

Sushi Yama has come to Pembroke Pines! This spot is located on the corner of Palm Ave & Pines Blvd, taking over the old Bru's Room location. Sushi Yama is a made-to-order AYCE spot. From sushi rolls to hibachi, they have everything made fresh once you order it. We went over the weekend and they had all day dinner pricing which was around $35. Since I don't eat as much as I used to, I don't think this is entirely for me but I still wanted to try it out! The food was super good and fresh. The space is definitely still new with very attentive servers. We had two servers come up to us introducing themselves and taking our drink orders so I don't know if they have specific sections for servers. Alexa was our server and she was amazing! She always checked in on us and our food came out fast. Our favorite roll was the caterpillar roll. We only tried two rolls during this visit since we don't have as big appetites as we used to. Definitely come hungry since the rolls are full rolls! The hibachi was good but make sure to note that you only get the protein for hibachi and you need to order the friend rice or noodles separate. Come hungry if you're eating here!

I tried the sushi Yama in Orlando and so I was shocked to find out there was one opening in South Florida. Finally got to try this place, we came around lunch time, very spacious, plenty of parking, bathrooms outside. The decor is set up just like the one in Orlando as well. It's $35 AYCE all Sunday & Saturday. You can choose anything from sashimi- to hibachi- to sushi rolls. So many options... The sashimi cuts were much thicker than I would prefer, making it a tad bit difficult to eat. The tuna sashimi wasn't as fresh. And the seared salmon could've been seared a bit longer. Top items to order: - salmon sashimi - scallops (raw) - green mussels - mango salmon - yellowtail jalapeño - King Kai Roll - hibachi steak with the fried rice (small portions) I love love the fried cheesecake for dessert so definitely save room for the dessert. Service was good overall.

This restaurant location redesigned and reopened to what is now a great sushi option! My husband and I went for their AYCE lunch for $23 and it is such a goood deal. Get it while you still can! Our server was Ray and he was really great - always checked on us and brought out everything quickly. They take your orders and bring the sushi to you vs a sushi buffet. I'm not sure the price change for dinner, but we'll have to come back because the specialty rolls and hand rolls were yummy. Oh and combo fried rice was also a must get.

Today was our first time trying Sushi Yama, I must say we are impressed by there dinner. We opted for the all you can eat dinner for $34.95. Came in around 6pm for dinner, we were immediately seated by Ella. There's was not even a moment to think, Alyssa took great care of us. She gave many great options and each of them meet our expectations. We ordered many delicious, sushi rolls from the Sunshine roll to the Crazy Yellowtail Roll. Each with the unique twist. We can definitely agree, that Sushi Yama is going to be the "Sushi Spot of Pines". With great ambiance, ample space to have large group dining and date night. Beautifully, arranged decor and well lit restaurant. Sushi Yama, your staff has definitely wooed us with their amazing customer service thank you Kay, Nico,Ella and Alyssa.

Decided to try this place during their Lunch AYCE hours on a Monday. Place was not too busy, lots of seating indoor and outdoor. The furniture fit the theme, enjoyed the bonsai and Japanese themed decor. The menu had a lot of options even though it was lunch. If you order a bunch at a time, they will creat a large tray of the sushi/rolls that you ordered. Really convenient and space saving. Pros: We enjoyed the nigiri, hand rolls, fried tempura and appetizers. Everything came out freshly made, perfectly fried and arrived quicker than anticipated. Cons: The Shu Mai wasn't bad but caught me off guard that it tasted fishy. My first order of salmon nigiri looked amazing but the second order the salmon looks dull and without color. Recommendations: I wish there was a sashimi option for lunch, I understand the business model but maybe offer a per person limit on sashimi or maybe include the option if placing an order of 30+ pieces at a time since you charge for uneaten leftovers anyways Overall I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The waiter was attentive, cleared the tables fast and kept checking on us when we were running low on food. Excellent place to try out!

We then ordered the sunset roll 5/5 which was refreshing and well rolled. Our entrees, came with miso soup 4/5 not salty like most tend to be, and with a good ratio of tofu and seaweed. I had the chicken teriyaki bento box, but switched the tempura veggies for rice. incredible 5/5. With the bento box, youre able to have a little of everything (sushi, gyoza, salad, your protein of choice and the tempura veggies or rice) but still end leaving full, not to mention the presentation is cute and functional. My husband tried the Oyako Don and while it doesnt sound like much on the description (chicken, rice, carmalized onions and omelet on top), this dish is heavy, flavorpacked and so good!
