Sushi Zen is the hibachi restaurant thats the closest to my house. They are literally 5 minutes away and everytime i place a togo order its almost always ready by the time i get there. There hibachi taste so fresh and like it was made with care. They give you an abundance of veggies to go with it. Whats not pictures is the incredibles noodles which has a special pepper seasoning which gives it a nice kick to it. Overall i love this place and constantly go back.

I added the noodles as a side and they're flavorfully good.

Great hole in the wall place. Small with just a few tables; the sushi area took up about a third of the available space. So far it looks nice, and it smells amazing. I think the girls had to warm up to me.One girl at the register is very nice the other isn't very sociable. I ordered shrimp, fried rice and you will get six shrimps. The rice is different from most Chinese restaurants. It appears to be a long grain jasmine rice. Mixed with egg and onion. it will come with carrots if you do not exclude them. The taste is fairly decent. I also ordered crab meat wonton. they are stuff pretty lightly, you will receive six for eight dollars. The taste is fairly decent. I will probably go back just to give them a second try.

Surprise, good sushi is in this part of town. Seeing such good reviews, I knew my wife would be pleased going out for Sushi and I can tell you, she was very happy. I would like to make one point, the service here was AMAZING. Blah, blah, blah, you really want yo learn about the food: Beer - really a few beers you don't see anywhere else. Salad - my salad was awful, it was very small and had so much water that it made the ginger dressing watery. Yellowtail - FANTASTIC, fresh, wonderfully prepared. Salmon - prepared the same as the yellowtail, another great dish Tuna - not as fresh as the other fish, but it was fine. Alaska Roll - tight wrapping, wonderful flavor. Sushi rolls - my wife had three rolls and I did not write them down, but she loved it. Parking is easy and as I said, service could not have been better.

I decided to try Sushi Zen at Duval Station on a whim. I was returning some packages around lunch and wanted to get a bite to eat. When I came in, I was greeted and seated. The waitress was very nice and attentive which is always a plus. The restaurant was a little slow for lunch hours, but I still decided to try. The menu is nice with normal sushi rolls I've seen at other restaurants, but they did have a few non traditional rolls that I thought were interesting like one that included sweet potato. In all the food was pretty good, and they have a nice lunch special if you're ever in the area.

It's always a good start when there are so many appealing options on the menu that it's hard to choose what to order. Another plus is their availability on Uber eats. They packaged everything incredibly well and all of the fish was delicious. The sushi sandwich is a must have and the two rolls - banzai and black dragon- I got were great although personally I prefer the puffy tempura other the one they use for their shrimp. Nigiri were tasty as well and everything came with plenty of sauce on the side as requested, wrapped super well, and with tons of ginger and wasabi.

Food was good and had no complaints with service HOWEVER; I check my bank statement days after eating here to realize that the server tipped herself an additional $15 on the check despite me tipping her 20% in cash! This is completely unbelievable and unacceptable and I am hoping to reach the manager now for a resolution on the matter. UPDATE: There were mistakes made however the business owner was expeditious with a resolution; I would not allow this previous review to prevent you from eating at Ten Zushi; they have very excellent customer service and tasty food! read more

Absolutely wonderful experience!!!! Carrie was extremely helpful and patient with me and made sure that my order was EXACTLY how I wanted and needed it to be. She was kind, noninvasive, and extremely pleasant. Even though it wasn't busy when I entered it was immediately apparent that there's a great amount of pride in the presentation of the restaurant. Ordered a dynamite roll. We was the only people in he store and had to wait 20 minutes due to call in orders. We decided to wait till I heard they were good. Dynamite roll was really good, very spicy but it is delicious. I don't care for the shrimp sauce. It is thick and taste more like mayo and honey. read more

Let me tell you when I say a girl loves sushi.. I'm very picky about my sushi because one time I've eaten at a bad sushi place and got sick but this place?? Impeccable ! I've always Uber eats it from here but the service is top tier! They are super quick when it comes to getting my food here and ready and they're always doing it cheerfully and quickly! I only know that because sometimes I've had to pick it up too when I've gotten Uber eats orders!!! I highly reccomend this place. We LOVE this place! Living on the North Side, we never expected much from a sushi restaurant, but Sushi Zen does not disappoint. The staff, is literally the sweetest staff, every time we come - which is once a week. They recognize us each time with such gracious smiles. We always get the same thing: crab Rangoons, spicy crunchy tuna and the Red Sox roll and it's always delicious. HIGHLY recommend! read more

We ordered the Love Boat on New Year's eve and it's one of the best sushi we had here in Jax. The price is almost $100 including the krab rangoon and tip but it's definitely worth it. Even the soup tastes great! Being in the Northside, this will be our go-to Japanese food now! read more

Presentation of the rolls was great, ingredients were tasty. Would definitely visit again when I'm back in the area. First the food was really good. The sushi piece could be more cold. The staff was really friendly! There is NO air flow in the restaurant. It was so hot and almost unbearable to eat our dinner. Much better then the other options in the area, new &clean, had great service. The fish was fresh and portions were nice sized. Tried the chicken teriyaki which was outstanding, was moist and flavorful, almost more then I could eat. It is right by Publix so easy to park and prices were fair. Crazy sushi has been a staple in Jax for years and I've been a patron since they first opened up. I used to visit with my mom a lot before she moved. Then I made it one of many date night spots for me and my kids when they were really young. My son was 2 or 3 the first time I brought him here and he'd only eat salmon sashimi. He didn't like rolls. They grew on him over time. He's 16 now and still loves sushi.

The Happy Family is an Asian specialty meal that is very enjoyable to eat with all the vegetables of various sorts it contains (I search for the mushrooms and scallops!) But the same problem with the meat occurred on this meal too. I asked our server about it and he said that the meat for these dishes were cooked in the wok, so, in a sense if I understand correctly, the lesser quality meat gets added to these dishes. But if you order anything hibachi, then the more tender meat is used for these dishes. He said that it was a Japanese tradition to do it that way. I never had either dish made this way in the past, but I wish we would have been informed before we chose these for our meal. But still, the meals lasted two days and I have no reservations about visiting this restaurant again. I know what to be aware of next time. I also found that the prices were $15-$20 per dinner. That's a decent value for a good restaurant like this at this time. It only had two pieces of chicken and four or five pieces of vegetables. Normally I'd consider that a little skimpy, but two pieces of chicken is pretty standard for a chicken tempura appetizer, so the vegetables were essentially a bonus. And honestly, they were phenomenal. I wouldn't change a thing about the portion. The dipping sauce was probably the weakest part of the meal. It wasn't bad by any means, but it wasn't particularly flavorful either. That's a pretty minor criticism considering everything else was so good. Then dinner arrived. The timing was almost perfect. Our food came out just as we were finishing our appetizers and had a chance to let everything settle. And WOW. The sushi was absolutely fantastic. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, the flavors were excellent, and the presentation was beautiful. The service was excellent throughout the entire meal. Our waiter checked on us enough to make sure we had everything we needed without constantly hovering over us. We never felt neglected, but we also never felt like we were being interrupted every five minutes. Overall, this was one of the most enjoyable dinner experiences I've had in quite some time.
