I visited again recently. This is one of my favorite sushi spots in town. I hadn't been in a while so I stopped in one evening while my son was at the movies. It's still run by my favorite person. She's always so sweet. I asked to sit in the back, cozy corner booth since I knew I'd be taking my time. All this food was for me.(party of 1) i started with shrimp tempura app, water and hot sake. I also ordered my favorite roll; kyoki roll, clear soup and salad with ginger. The best ginger dressing hands down. I haven't tried any place with better. I also ordered 2 glasses of plum wine. I stayed until maybe 15 minutes before closing which worked out perfectly since the move ended shortly after I arrived to pick him up. Crazy sushi has been a staple in Jax for years and I've been a patron since they first opened up. I used to visit with my mom a lot before she moved. Then I made it one of many date night spots for me and my kids when they were really young. My son was 2 or 3 the first time I brought him here and he'd only eat salmon sashimi. He didn't like rolls. They grew on him over time. He's 16 now and still loves sushi. read more

Never been to Crazy Sushi before and wanted to try a new sushi spot close to home. The restaurant itself was very nice, well lit, clean, and the host was upbeat and friendly. I ordered the krab wontons, Philadelphia roll, and Rock-In roll. I was offered shrimp sauce, soy sauce, and chopsticks. The krab wontons were very good, but there was no dipping sauce included when I got home. They were light, crispy, and golden brown. 8/10. As for the sushi, it was a little disappointing. In my opinion, the freshness was a miss. Both rolls had a soggy texture and lacked structure. One roll was raw and the other cooked, but neither had the fresh flavor I was expecting. 5/10. A recent dinner here with my DH was a pleasant experience. We did not order any sushi, as we would normally do, but instead opted for two Chicken Hibachi Dinners. My DH indulged in the Clear Soup and Salad with Ginger Dressing whereas I was not super hungry so just stuck with the entree. The chicken was flavorful and well cooked and the noodles and fried rice were seasoned well. I also had an order of Edamame as my appetizer. All in all an enjoyable and fairly quick meal. read more

Great food and a fairly intimate setting, our service was fantastic and the sushi was really good. I went here with a couple of friends to celebrate a birthday at lunchtime. I didn't go crazy on the sushi, just did two simple rolls, while the rules were good. The service was just outstanding. We were celebrating a birthday and we're not trying to eat as much sushi as we could. And our server made sure she left us alone to a certain extent, drink refills came quickly. Any special request came quivkly too. I will have to go back to give you a good assessment of the sushi. Really good place for sushi! Very accessible location, with a good amount of seating for larger groups. I also love how their lunch specials are available during the weekends as well. I got the 3 roll lunch special and it was a solid choice. They are generous with their rolls, with a good rice to fish/filling ratio. The spicy tuna and salmon were fresh and tasted delicious. We were craving Sushi last evening. Checked Yelp for suggestions. Crazy Sushi was close to the hotel and had many good reviews. Upon arrival, a hostess sat us in a booth and presented menus. A very very extensive menu indeed. Too many choices IMO. We selected 3 rolls to split. Included were soup and salad. Wife chose clear soup and I chose Miso. We both selected ginger dressing on salad. Clear soup was a chicken broth. Both were good. Salads were good however way too much ginger dressing. The rolls arrived and they were HUGE. One was tempura shrimp w spicy tuna. Another was spicy tuna, final one was tuna with spicy tuna. The spicy Luna on all 3 was unusual. Seemed to be ground tuna with binders making it almost a clay consistency. It was as advertised - spicy. Too spicy IMO. The rolls being so large made it difficult to use chopsticks, so we used fingers! We needed more napkins and I got some on the way to the restroom to wash my hands. The bill was very reasonable. All in all, we will try another sushi restaurant next time. read more

Family members enjoyed the Green Dragon Roll & the Teppanyaki Vegetable entree. I ordered the Rock In Roll (shrimp tempura, krab, cheese, fish egg, cucumber) & the Tempa Bay Roll (tempura white fish, cream cheese, cucumber, eel sauce). Both rolls were full of fresh-tasting ingredients & the tempura fried items were cooked perfectly. In addition to the food, we were also very impressed by our server, David. He was on top of everything without being intrusive and incredibly friendly. I heard him conversing with the patron immediately behind us, a regular who happened to comment to him about how great his service always is. Great Customer service. He is friends with Green Papaya. I had my salad, two clear soups(sharing)and two sushi rolls for, "to-go" to take back to my room. My friend is coming in town from Naples, Florida for his birthday and mine as well as mine. It's been a while since I have dined here. Looking forward to my next visit. He invited me back and to dine in next visit. The only minus is, I did not get any soy sauce to mix with my wasabi for my sushi. Yet another great sushi dinner brought to us by trusting Yelp. We've tried (and reviewed) a lot of sushi places in the area. Nothing has really disappointed us but only a few have stood out. Crazy Sushi is a stand out. Like many places in the area, it doesn't look like much from the outside. When you get inside, you see a place that's bigger than you'd expect and a VERY busy take out station. They were pretty packed when we went on a Friday night but we were still sat immediately. Our waitress was on top of things as she took care of us and at least 3 other tables. We order a good variety of stuff between apps and rolls. Everything was as good or better than we were hoping. We're usually in that area on Friday nights and I'm reasonably sure that Crazy Sushi will be our go-to place in the area now. read more

This is a mom and pop sushi place that has been around for quite a while. They have a great lunch special and their sushi tastes great. I often get their Spicy Tuna and Shrimp Tempura rolls and it's my favorite every time. Their miso soup isn't too salty and their garlic salad is very refreshing. Since it's a mom and pop place, it takes a bit to get the food but it's not terribly bad compared to other mom and pop places and there's almost never a wait time. Came to the restaurant it was very quiet. The host was nice. I ordered a Florida roll, rock n roll, and dynamite roll togo order. It was very fresh and hot. Came out fast. I loved the Dynamite and Rock n roll. The Florida roll was greasy in my opinion and took away from the roll itself. There were multiple scallops on top the roll that they fried in batter. They tasted greasy and overpowered the roll itself. I think if they did a pan seared scallop that's a decent size would've been a better option. Overall I would still go back to try other items since the other two rolls were good and so was the customer service. read more

We've help celebrations here, stopped in for a quick bite, eaten large Meal's with multiple family members, catered from here, ordered out for small and large groups and had intimate dinners for two. We wanted to hit the nearby Dillards Outlet after church. Since it doesn't open till noon we stopped at Crazy Sushi. The food was good and reasonably priced. My husband and MIL always order the same thing. She either wants to copy him or is reluctant to try anything new. They selected scallop hibachi with soup, ginger salad and fried rice. Crazy Sushi is what I like to call my favorite sushi place! I have been here over 10 times and have never been disappointed. The specialty rolls are big and have so much flavor. The Hibachi and kitchen entrees are also incredible. Every entree comes with a soup and salad so it just makes the whole order a lot more exciting. Their ginger salad dressing is to die for!
