I would recommend the sushi rolls here. They are delicious! I thought the rolls were better than the nigiri. I ordered the chopped scallop roll, salmon roll, and shrimp panko roll. I really enjoyed all of them. The scallop and salmon were sweet and fresh. The shrimp panko roll had a nice crunch and came with a side of dynamite sauce. I also ordered soft shell crab and that was delicious. I asked for a side of ponzu on the side since it was served with cream cheese which was unusual for me. I ordered the hotate scallop sushi and it tasted fishy. I would not recommend nigiri here based on my personal experience. Overall, it was a great meal for appetizers and rolls.

I don't find myself out in Langley very often... and don't even get me started on the City of Langley vs the Township of Langley. But we found ourselves in the area one weekend while shopping at one of the large garden centres and we needed to grab a bite to eat. Sushico is a Japanese restaurant (duh) that's located in one of the large strip malls in the City of Langley. The interior is quite spacious (especially compared with the Japanese restaurants in Vancouver) with tall and airy ceilings and tables spaced out appropriately. We decided to try their special lunch boxes: the Sushi and Sashimi Lunch Box ($17) and the Spicy Sashimi Lunch Box ($16) which included rice, gyoza, tempura, California roll, and miso soup. The staff here are quite friendly and seem to really try to please. When we placed our order, they told us that there would be a bit of a wait for our lunch boxes because there was a large party that just placed their order ahead of us. We asked how long and they said about 10 minutes and they were quite apologetic about it (for us, 10 minutes isn't that bad... especially with what we're used to in other restaurants). Still, they brought us out some ebi sunomono to fill our tummies while we waited. These lunch boxes are actually quite filling and there's a good assortment of items in the box. I especially liked the California roll which didn't have too much rice wrapped around it. The sashimi was good... actually... everything was quite good and I wouldn't mind trying out some of their other dishes if we find ourselves in the area again. If you're looking for some quality Japanese food with friendly and helpful service in the Langley area, this is the place to go.

Not bad for a spot in Langley. I admire the amount of ginger they give for your rolls, usually you get a small amount even after ordering a ton of rolls. Fish was fresh and rolls were perfect size. A lot of choices to choose from their large menu !

Classier than most Valley Japanese, with value lunches and good dinner options. The wuantity and quality are four-star. Great little touches make the plating a cut above the usual tired Japanese bento meal. The room is big and completely open; it could use some dividers for my taste. It feels more intimate at night. Unfortunately, they opted to erect two TVs, dropping the atmosphere considetably.

The Viking roll (middle) has all of my favourites; spicy salmon, avo, scallops, and shrimp! The egg paper was a unique touch.

I was on my way home last night and decided to try this place on a whim. Friendly service; arrived an hour to closing and didn't feel rushed by the waiters at all, which was nice. Ordered the Viking roll (photographed below) and loved it! My boyfriend ordered a spicy dynamite and the Sushi Co roll (not photographed but SO DELICIOUS - tastes like oyster motoyaki!). Would recommend whenever you're in the area :)

This place is spacious and clean, the staff speaks English well (at least from my single experience there)... Expect to pay a little more for the presentation though. Everything was served on "real" dishes, not the typical Asian plastic ware and wooden planks or boats. It sure looked nice but we weren't very impressed with the salmon sashimi. It was room temperature - almost warm by the time it reached the table. The chopped scallop roll had way too much mayo and the panko dynamite roll was the biggest disappointment. I'm used to it being more like a king sized California roll with crab meat and a large prawn tempura rolled into rice and nori with some cucumber strips or avocado. Theirs was literally one prawn tempura rolled with rice and nori and that's it. No crab. Oops, maybe it had some cucumber. It can't have been great if I don't remember.

Food arrived after 15-20 minutes. Didn't enjoy the appetizer sashimi. The temperatures were warm. Working in quality assurance in the seafood industry made it extremely difficult for me to be satisfied. Prawn tempura and agedashi tofu were delicious. Chicken katsu was dry. Beef teriyaki was excellent. Lots of indoor seating. Modern decor. Clean. It would be better if you assign servers to specific table. We had 3 different servers come to our table and we had 2 extra miso soup. We had 2 different servers ask the same questions a few times. All in all, good experience.

I did let them know that their google place pin was in the wrong place and sending customers in the wrong direction...oops! The food was good, smaller portions and a little pricey. Tasty tho, they had my favourite Oshi Saba, my partner's; negintoro, spicy chops scallop roll and for main he had the vegetable udon and I had the Pork Katsu. Good food, nice atmosphere, be prepared to spend a little more.

Despite driving past the giant pothole at the driveway to the mini mall complex, we parked safely, and went inside to eat. The restaurant was clean, pretty busy, and the staff were extremely attentive. I ordered the Red Fox roll, and a Tofu Kimchi roll. Both rolls were delicious, fresh, vibrant, and flavourful. They looked like very big roll pieces, because of their respective presentations, but were actually hiding very manageable pieces of sushi. Overall, I was certainly very pleased with it experience at Sushi California, and would definitely be back to try the rest of their menu offerings in future. Delicious~!

I found it surprising and odd to come at lunch time with lots of available parking and seats, the place was not overly busy. Compare that to the Surrey (Guildford ) location that is always full and overflowing with both customers and cars trying to park. Guess it makes sense once you experience both the food and service at the Langley location, both IMHO need work as the quality and quantity of their sushi is lower grade and literally half the portion sizes for their sushi compared to Surrey location, and the service at Langley is literally zero smiling and not overly friendly staff, while Surrey is upbeat and friendly. Despite the Langley location's inside being more bright with better seating options with proper tables compared to Surrey relying on flexible bench seating to be shared, that does not make up for much. IMHO go to the Surrey location for a better quality overall experience.
