A home's HVAC systems are, frequently, taken for granted...... that is until one starts to sweat or shiver a bit. When we had our furnace serviced last year the technician was guarded in his comments about its continued ability to do the job for us. I got the hint, checked our finances and began to ask around for recommendations on a trustworthy vendor to carry us forward since our previous one had retired. The quest was painful to say the least.................. Then Greg Sutor appeared and it was love at first sight. Greg spent hours scoping out our home, the installed systems and ductwork and how we live. He us with presented SEVERAL detailed recommendations that would meet our needs at different price points and with different levels of technological sophistication. We agreed on one and got on his company's installation schedule. The estimate was a week's work for 2 techs for the design/install. We timed it for April/May to minimize the need for heat or AC during the work. The disassembly went without a hitch and the new zone 1 furnace was up and running the same day. Long story short the rest of the work went off with no grief for us, the clients. They kept the clutter and dust under COMPLETE control and we barely knew they were here. To say we were pleased would be an understatement. Subsequently we decided to heat our attached garage and that project went quickly and worked well over the winter of 2018/2019. I had a bad experience with this business. The owner came out to give the estimates and then sends out young inexperienced people to do the work. During multiple calls to my home, these guys would be on the phone searching Google for answers, then finally cave and call the owner and get walked through the repair step by step. Then I was charged for the time that it took. I have never been charged such high rates for HVAC repair. At the end of each visit I was given disclaimers over and over about the fact that this one part of the repair could cause another part of the unit to have problems. Now I see why. Every item they have touched has needed follow up visits to original repairs within weeks. Do not recommend. read more

I've only had the best service from Greg and his crew. Usually it's just routine maintenance. But twice they shined. Once when I had them out for a yearly clean and check and it turned out my humidifier was leaking a lot. Tech got soaked fixing it, but did a great job. Also recently switched to a different air filter and didn't realize I had the wrong size (I sized it myself). Tech told me and gave me a free replacement filter. Our boiler starting failing right as the temperatures started dropping. While we weren't in an emergency situation, Sutor got a technician out to our house w/i 30 minutes (at 5:30pm at that) and he and the Owner ended up staying until about 9PM to figure out a solution. We had a gentleman from Sutor stop by for an estimate at the end of October and we have been following up with the company for a quote via phone since then. Fast forward to the middle of January and still no response. The receptionist keeps ensuring us the gentleman who came over for the estimate will call us when we speak to her. I have even asked the receptionist to call me back with updates and no response. Lastly, their voicemail says business hours are 9am - 5pm M-F but no one answers past 3pm when I call. What gives? These guys are great! We bought our home a few years back and ended up calling Sutor the day after we closed(a particularly frigid Saturday) as the boiler stopped working. Greg came out and spent a good part of that Saturday afternoon troubleshooting the problem and talking to me about Oak Park and everything else. He got us up and going and we had heat before he left. Great Experience. Afterwards we had them install a Unico A/C system for us as we have an older home with radiators and no installed ductwork and they did an amazing job! Everything was clean, orderly and professional. Dust was vacuumed up at the end of every work day and we never felt as if we were living in a workzone. They ensured that we were completely satisfied with the job and the system has been great keeping us cool through a lot of scorching days. I called Sutor to quote out a mini split system for our converted attic that gets extremely hot. I called the office after not hearing anything from them for a few days using their online request system. When I called, they answered right away and took my info said that Greg would call me back later that day to schedule a time (which he did). We scheduled for the next day and he was on time. Was very knowledgeable and explained everything to my I needed to know. He said he'd have some sample photos over to me along with my quote the following week (it was a Friday). Nothing the next week so I called on Monday of the following week, no answer and left voice message. Called again on Tuesday, same thing. Called and emailed Wednesday, crickets. I've asked around within a Facebook group and it seems I'm not the first to be ghosted by Sutor and I'm sure I won't be the last. They don't even have my money yet and aren't being responsive I can only imagine how (not) responsive they'll be after they have my money, even with a produce that needs yearly maintenance! read more

Very happy with the service they provided. In mid winter, my heat stopper woking. Greg himself came out saying they had a busy schedule, and wanted to get to me as soon as he could. Within hours they came to my house on a Sunday and diagnosed the problem. Did a temporary fix to tide us over. Cam back tow days later with the new part to permanently fix the problem. Took no hand holding or excessive following up with phone calls. The did what they said they would do and for a very reasonable fee. Would highly recommend Sutor. read more

Sutor came out last Friday after we discovered our heat wasn't working. They couldn't fix our antiquated boiler because it's so old, they no longer can get parts. The president ordered a new boiler for us and came out with his crew to install it first thing Monday morning. They were professional, courteous and considerate (putting booties on to come into our unit and bleed our radiators). I highly recommend them! read more

Some issues with scheduling, but they are the only place I could find to work on my ductless AC system, they did a good job once they were out here. read more
