HVAC Royal Service was responsive and professional. I called and an appointment was set up. The day of scheduled service I received a phone call from Jesus informing me that he would be arriving in about 20 minutes. Once he arrived an assessment was done on my AC unit and furnace and it was determined I needed a deep clean on the AC unit. Jesus broke down the unit and throughly cleaned it. He checked the Freon which was within limits. He noticed I had a broken connector on my AirePlain furnace humidifier and said he would be ordering me a new part. I scheduled an AC maintenance appointment with the vendor. I found this vendor through Yelp. On the day of the service the vendor wasn't able to get access to our roof in our Condominium building. I was access a $75 fee for the visit and the technicians said I may not have to pay another fee upon the return. I paced a few calls playing phone tag and spoke with a representative. The representative informed me that they would call me back with some dates and times they could come to finish up my service appointment. I never received that call back from their office. I sent a message over Yelp messenger and I was able to reach someone from the office. The team was able to service my AC and provided future service recommendations. PS. I was not charged for additional visit to complete my AC maintenance. read more

So my furnace was acting up at the worst time...last Sunday when we hit negative degree weather! The furnace would turn on but shortly thereafter stop blowing hot air and only cycle existing air. This was happening all day. Late sunday I reached out to a few HVAC services. Received reponses from all but selected HVAC Royal due to their earlier availability and competitive house call consultation rate. Rogelio from HVAC royal came through on Monday afternoon, patiently troubleshooted the furnace and resolved the issue. It was a stressful situation given the conditions but they were great at placing my mind at ease, as they came through on short notice, had great communication throughout the process, and most importantly revolved the issue on first visit. 6 days later our furnace is going strong! I mistakenly contacted this service so this is mainly on me. I was calling so many HVAC pros I simply didn't double check who I got a call back from. Overall: Jesus came and identified the problem but did not fix it and insisted to sell me a thermostat I didn't need. After a diagnostic run of the furnace resulted in confirmation of the unit working. He let me know it was the thermostat not communicating properly. We checked and it had a bent wire but he didn't see that and fix it, he tried but did not take his time to ensure proper alignment so they were still bent when he left. I didn't argue with his diagnosis and easily paid but I still feel that good service would have been to fix the unit. Real fix I had to actually call Sensi and they confirmed to straighten the wires on the Sensi to get it working again. read more

Royal responded to my request for an estimate within minutes and were at my property within hours to look at my broken 20 yr-old AC. Jesus got up on the roof and made an attempt to salvage the old unit, which ultimately turned out to not be salvageable. When it turned out that it needed to be replaced, Royal gave me a very reasonable price to replace both the AC and the furnace (also 20 yrs-old) and scheduled the job for the following weekend. From the time of the original request, the entire replacement was completed within a week. I think this is outside of his typical work and it was made very tricky by the weird shape of the cabinets the ducting needed to run through. Nonetheless, the work was done perfectly. Typical tale of furnace motor goes out mid-August and living in Chicago it's also your source of cold air. I sent out a few messages on yelp about needing a new HVAC unit and Jesus responded right away. We chatted for a bit, he sent me the HVAC unit number they had in stock and a more than fair estimate after I shared a few photos with him. This was all on a Thursday and him and his partner showed up Monday morning - even confirmed Sunday night which I appreciated. They could have even come Saturday by I was busy. I had them come and service a total of 5 hvac systems. They were easy to schedule and prompt. I wanted them to look at a few other issues I was having. Overall they serviced the HVAC and I think it was fine, they told me I needed a few other items that I paid for. I had an issue with air/heat distributing in my home evenly and they could not suggest a resolution which was fine but noticed after they left the vents they looked at had dirty hand prints which I do not appreciate. I also told them the HVAC was making a rumbling sound which they also could not fix or determine. We realized after they left the vent just needed to be tightened but they did not determine this in their own while they were here. Lastly; it's a few months later and my AC is not functioning properly and was told I need anti freeze but if it was serviced properly earlier this summer this would not be an issue. For the cost/value would not use them again. Now I need someone to return again after it was just serviced. read more
