Came here for the first time recently. It is in the mall on the first floor, with its own area for the restaurant. There are seats and tables in front of the cashier area if you choose to stay and eat, but they also do to-go orders as well! Everything is order it yourself on the kiosk, but they are there to assist if you need help. Despite being out in the open, the restaurant wasn't too loud while I was waiting for my to-go order. I came with a couple coworkers who also got food to go. I ended up ordering the Thai iced tea, deep fried spring rolls and Pad-see-ew. Overall, the food satisfied my cravings. The spring rolls were probably the best thing I tried from here, I'd definitely come back for these! The order comes with three large rolls that were juicy and tasted great. The Thai iced tea was also pretty good, they give you an option of milk, oat milk and almond milk for people with lactose intolerant concerns. Where I was disappointed was the pad-see-ew. I ordered it with beef and it was extremely dry. I was also expecting flatter, thicker noodles for the dish which was okay that they were thin, but it had a lot of vegetables in it and less noodle. There just aren't that many options in town so when you go back to a place.that disappointed you before, you are grateful for any improvement. Their food has been fire lately and the waits less during the lunch rush. Something is clicking lately ans I am here for it. Still avoid the lunch portions though as they are not good value. Overall, the food was nothing more than okay. The drunken noodles were made with the same noodles used for pad Thai - not the thicker ones normally used. The Tom Yup soup was on the sour side with chewy chunks of chicken. read more

Food is very good but it does not have the variety that Thai restaurants in New York City or Boston has. For example, it does not have dishes that have duck or frog legs which I have had in other Thai restaurants. read more

decent thai food in the valley. located in the Jordan Creek business center, this place is a staple of lunch time in the airport/valley area stuff tried: combo panang curry and pad thai: good amount of food for the price! liked the curry over rice next to pad thai. carby goodness fried spring roll: vegetarian. not always on menu but when it is you get 4 big ones cut in half to make 8 pieces made fresh pipping hot! tom yum soup spicy: studded with lots of mushrooms, dont gulp to fast or chili spice might catch you off guard! coconut sticky rice: not too sweet, green color might be off putting if you are not expecting it lunch time can get packed and as sweet and friendly as the staff are, service can be a bit slow. i would call in order to improve your chances of speedy service! read more

So slooww... The line was a little slow to begin with, but should've known it was trouble when staff began loading two large cardboard boxes full of boxed food for two older ladies. (Apparently they were icing it to take on the ferry to Sitka- no joke). After waiting about 20 minutes my dad walked about to ask how much longer (all we ordered was a chicken satay and a chicken satay/pagang curry). They said they ran out of chicken, but that it would be another 20 minutes (almost like they had to run to the back and pluck the chicken themselves). After about 34 minutes total, we had decided to take our meal to go (original plan was to eat there). When we got the box home, most of the curry was sloshed over onto the satay and on the outside of the box (could've been from the car ride home but doubt it since they were in a rush). Unacceptable. (Also, a little suspicious how they had two microwave in the front kitchen and was heating up a small portion of coconut curry). This occurred tonight, 7/9/18. The food was ok, my green curry was nice and spicy BUT it was warm. I thought this was strange until I saw most everything is being microwaved. The food takes a long time to come out after you order even though it's made ahead of time. The women working there are very nice friendly and are constantly working to get the orders out. read more

It is pretty hidden, but they do a great job for the size of the "restaurant". It feels more like an indoor food cart, although they did remodel the kitchen not too long ago and added more seating. The pad thai is different than Chan's in Auk Bay, but this dish varies a lot, so I don't know if that comparison is valid. They are simply different. read more

The wait is long though the food is worth it. They sell wraps to main courses of authentic Thai cuisine. It seems like everything is fresh and made to order; hence the long wait. I had the yellow chicken curry with white rice for under $12. It was quite delicious and filling. read more

Finally, a decent Thai eatery in Juneau, located behind Breeze-In in Jordon Creek Mall, first floor by the escalator. They have delicious yellow curry, pad thai was alright. This was a great spot for lunch while on vacation in Juneau. It was within walking distance from our hotel (and a few others). The prices were reasonable (even by Alaska standards), and the food was full of flavor. We each got chicken pad thai, and I had the panang, and both were delicious. We got Thai iced tea and Thai iced green tea to drink, and both were great. The wait for the food was a little long, and there is no atmosphere (it's in the middle of an office building) but the food was perfect for what we wanted to get. read more

When I found out the curry slinger from Chan's had relocated to the Suwanna Cafe I had to give it a go and feel like we found the hidden treasure indeed! Yes it is lunch fare but the curry is second to none and the wraps are equally delish. I think the pad thai gives Chan a run for their money and is very authentic. We are working our way down the menu and loving the convenient valley option! PLUS knowing the hours do not conflict at all with our other Juneau Thai favorite I don't feel like I'm betraying loyalties and see it as a win-win! read more

I have to admit that I work in the building. I believe that Suwanna is by far better than Chan's. I grew up in Seattle and I still think the Suwanna Panaeng chicken curry is better than any Panaeng curry that I have ever had. The summer spring rolls are also delicious. read more

A great option for a quick Thai lunch in the Valley. It's nowhere near the quality of Chan's in Auke Bay but a wonderful option and fast service when you are hankering for Thai. The curries are a great value and if this place had more space, a better location, and ambiance, the sisters would have a great business. The Pad Thai is not something I would order again. Not sure how people can give it 5 stars unless they are friends of the owners or have never been to another Thai restaurant. Thai restaurant without Pad Thai? Ordered won ton soup, the won ton was folded poorly so it was too much wrapper and very mushy. We got the fried spring rolls (no fresh ones here) and it literally had oil coming off and out of it. The other item I ordered was a salad. It was uneventful. All in all it just wasn't good. They have been open for dinner on Thursdays and Fridays for awhile. I like their chicken satay wrap.
