Chicken pho
Darlene K.

Perfect breakfast noodles on a cold winter morning. They open at 9:30am! I liked the chili oil. The black beans were very tasty. I'd come back here for any of the soups! It's like what my mom would make if she could make a tasty pho broth. The chicken broth was also good with the wontons!

The quality is okay but everything steamed is freezer bag food. It would be nice to have freshly made dim sum. The soups are good but nothing home made or fresh ingredients. The Thai iced tea is great! Hope to see some quality improvements and fresh ingredients.

Chicken dumplings and beef noodle soup

Being on the cruise ship for several days, I was excited to find authentic Szechuan style beef noodle soup in the area. It's a nice walk, very quiet area. The restaurant is a hole in the wall, but the food and service makes up for the aesthetic surroundings. Cheers

Veggie Delight rice and Eight Treasure Tea.

It's kind of a hole in the wall with poor signage, but the food is good. I had the Veggie Delight rice and Eight Treasure tea. Not making me cry for its sheer deliciousness, but quite good. A welcome vegetarian option.

Nice traditional portions, good flavor and (But not as flavorful as others I've had.) cheap. I ordered the tofu noodle bowl. Would recommend.

Chicken porridge and home made pickled veggies.

First review AND first customer! How cool is that! This is pretty unique to downtown Juneau even though there are a lot of different Asian restaurants. This cafe reminds me of something I would find in SF and it's a much needed oasis of comfort food. The interior is bright and sunny and they have comfort foods like porridge, boba and soy sauce eggs. You can even order food on their website. You're left feeling full in the tummy and super satisfied. And I'm left feeling a little less homesick.

Menu 3/2019

Little place downtown. Came during lunchtime on a weekday. Almost every table was taken. We had ordered the beef noodle soup (was suggested by the cashier), chicken rice porridge, and steam buns. The beef noodle soup was good but could had more beef flavor in broth. The chicken rice porridge was delicious. Tasted similar to something my family would make at home. I was surprisingly impressed with the chicken steam buns. It had good flavor and the bun was soft. I would order the porridge again. Service: The girl on the counter was extremely friendly and helpful. She checked on us often. I would come back again because of how friendly she was. Overall would come back again.

TAKEOUT VERSION: Chicken pho, beef noodle soup, and pork pho. (Broth for each not pictured.)

My family and I went here on a rainy day and got some bao buns and some soup. The soups are perfect for takeout. This is the perfect place if you're craving comfort food! Thank you! :)

A big hearty bowl of flavorful chicken pho, perfect on this rainy day.

Big fan of the old friend soup. Awesome when you are under the weather. It's small and cost and definitely ok to get your soup to go.

Food was okay. Not traditional pho, had lettuce instead of basil! Pork dumplings were a little too soft for my liking.

Tasty Pho, although the broth can be a bit greasy, a good option for Juneau. The dumplings and steam bun are very good.

This was on my list to visit and we are so glad we did!…read more First there are two locations. Easy walk from the cruise port. When you walk in, it smells amazing. The fudge is handmade on-site. When we arrived I spoke to an attendant who recommended to us the salted caramel, chocolate peanut butter. My daughter also picked out cookies and cream. The place is small and intimate. For 3 large 1 pound slices in a box it was about $37. My son however, could not leave without a giant chocolate chip cookie he absolutely refused to share. Super tasty, great treat to take home or share while on the cruise. And yes you can take it back to the ship. I would recommend adding this location to your list!

The Alaskan Fudge Company is definitely worth a stop, especially if you have a sweet tooth…read more The truffles were just okay in my opinion, nothing bad, but they didn't really stand out compared to other places I've tried. The fudge, on the other hand, was amazing. I got the one with marshmallow, and it was super soft and chewy, exactly how I like it. I also tried the peanut butter fudge, and that one was just perfect--rich, smooth, and full of flavor. I ended up getting about 2x 1/2 pounds, and it cost around $14, which felt like a pretty good deal for the quality. Overall, I'd definitely go back for the fudge, even if I'd probably skip the truffles next time.

Yum yum yum! In…read moregeneral, I had low expectations for Juneau food but this place's Pho really exceeded that expectation. The soup was full of umami flavor and the meat options were varied and well cooked. The beef meat slices were slightly over cooked but otherwise everything was super nicely done. We got the beef combo pho and shrimp spring rolls. Yum! The decor is a bit outdated but that's ok, we were there for the food. The food came out at a decent pace too and the server was friendly. Highly recommend!

I had the large pho combo w/everything in it and the fresh shrimp rolls. My friend had created your own pho and the big boys had bun vermicelli w/chicken, w/pork. We were so surprised how good it was!!!! The pho broth was so flavorful!!! The side dish of the veggies included bean sprouts, jalapeño, Thai basil, and.... wait for it.... culantro!!!! Not cilantro ok, CULANTRO! I don't even get that here back home in DC! Everything we had were delicious!!!! The service was great, as soon as we walked in, greeted and seated wherever we wanted. As soon as you walked in you could smell the wonderful aromatic pho! We love the dining room covered w/ glass that you can see everything outside in the parking lot. We were so happy with the food and excellent service!!! We'll eat here again and we will tell all our family and friends.
