    Donnas special

Good place to grab a bite to eat if you are close to the Juneau airport as it's the only restaurant you can walk to from the airport. We came in with a party of 5 and were seated immediately. The waitress was awesome and she did a great job. I got the Donnas special. It was pretty good over all. I ordered my eggs over medium but they were still a little runny. They were quick to fill up out and waters and the food was decent. I might come back next time I am in town.

We stopped in for a meal as we were in the area. Pretty spot on as to what I expected. The portions were large and the food did the job. Fries were delicious. Burgers were fine. Our server was friendly and helped us out.

Greasy spoon, big portions, and great staff!! Donna's restaurant is a must stop for breakfast or anytime food. Donna's restaurant has a full menu from burgers two salads all the way to breakfast all day. My favorite is the Donna special : on a huge plate you get three eggs, hashbrowns, six strips of bacon, and a biscuit full of amazing gravy. On the side, I would always get a single blueberry pancake. Another popular option is there a chicken fried steak! The portions are huge and for the price you will not go home hungry. Bottomless coffee is a must with hot coffee ready as they round the tables. You're cup will never be half empty. They are also known for their desserts. They have a $10 piece of chocolate cake that is worth every penny there a secret must be something more than baked with love:) Juneau Alaska is small but this is a great place to go if you have time before your plane leaves for a great place to go right when you land! Since it is 30 seconds away from the airport!

Classic diner food. Big portions but nothing special. I went around 7am and it was pleasant and quiet. Attentive service-- my coffee stayed full.

Service was a bit lacking this time around. One doesn't expect too much in the way of service at establishments like this but they seemed more than well-staffed. Just seemed to drop the ball a bit. I'll be back nonetheless to try again. The BLT was your standard sandwich. Not great, not bad.

    Denver Omelet

I Had an extra long layover and this reataurant came up on Apple Maps, it was 10:30 so i thought breakfast sounded good. i ordered the Denver Omelet. it looked great when it arrived, very healthy portions was the first thing i noticed. They had cholula sauce as well as grape jelly which was a bog plus in my book. The hash browns were good as was the wheat toast. The Omelet? meh. no so much. i should have asked for something other than the American cheese which came in it. The Omelet was quite bland. it could use something to improve the flavoring. Otherwise the restaurant had a good homestyle fee to it and the service was great, young man with a beard knows how to be a server. goo job!

If you are looking for a classic diner with all of the usual suspects then this is it. The place was packed with people but the service was amazing. The food came fast and was exactly what you would expect. Unfortunately the food is your classic can or box food. Canned gravy with biscuits that are from a box powder. Chicken fried steak from a frozen box.

Donna's Favorite! Over easy eggs, biscuit & gravy, hash browns, bacon with side of corned beef hash. Always yummy!

I've gone to Donna's since I was little. Donna's Breakfast is Always delicious! Side of corned beef hash! Even better! The burger & fries are really good too. I don't recommend the waffles but that is the only thing I've gotten in all these years that I didn't like. I expected fresh strawberries but they were not.

My boyfriend ordered the loco moco and said it wasn't good at all. When he called to place the order, the girl who answered the phone didn't even seem to know how to put an order in, which made the process unnecessarily long and frustrating. What completely sealed the deal for me, though, was reading the owner's responses to negative reviews. Instead of addressing concerns professionally or taking accountability, the owner's replies come across as rude, defensive, and borderline hostile. Customers are talked down to, blamed, or dismissed for their experiences. As someone who reads reviews before returning to a restaurant, seeing an owner respond this way is extremely off-putting and makes it clear that customer feedback is not valued here. Between the poor food quality, disorganized service, and the owner's unprofessional behavior online, we will not be coming back.

Although I wasn't a guest at the Glacier Bay Lodge, it was actually my AirB&B Host who suggested I make a reservation for dinner first thing in the morning when I arrived at the lodge. And...btw, Glacier Bay Lodge is the departure point for boat trips out on the waters of Glacier Bay. The dock area is located right in the rear of the lodge. I was fortunate enough to grab a 6:15pm reservation, though this was for one of the last weekends of the tourism season, at the end of August. Also, one more thing, lol...to explore Glacier National Park...by boat is the only way it can be navigated. The National Park Services in conjunction with the Glacier Bay Lodge offers one, 8 hour excursion from 8am - 4pm every day throughout the summer season. The website for boat tours is: https://www.visitglacierbay.com/tours/glacier-bay-day-tour/ So, it just efficiently made sense to have dinner here at the Fairweather Dining Room after finishing seeing Glacier Bay. I would also recommend to others out there to take the day boat tour and come here for dinner. Almost everyone on my tour was a familiar face eating inside the dining room afterwards. Another thing, lol, if you're not staying at Glacier Bay Lodge...then there's not many options to eat in the remote town of Gustavus. After dinner, my AirB&B Host was kind enough to pick me up at the lodge and drive me back to my cabin. Some details about this Fairweather Dining Room... - It had a cozy and rustic feel to it. There was a fireplace right nearby within the lodge. - The menu is limited to just a few options including salmon, halibut and fish and chips. There was also ribeye steak and a chicken dish. But, of course, when here on the Glacier Bay waters of the Inside Passage of Alaska...how can you not have seafood? I chose the halibut. According to the menu... "Baked Alaskan Halibut with lemon herb compound-butter, red-skinned garlic mashed potatoes, sauteed carrots and asparagus". As usual, it didn't eat heavy so I had room for dessert...a warm brownie with vanilla ice cream, drizzled caramel syrup and whipped cream (which wasn't even on the menu, but suggested by my server). Lastly, I had a decent view of the boating dock pier though the whole day was dampened by cloudy, foggy and tough conditions outside. Overall, eating here at the Fairweather Dining Room was still a rewarding way to end my visit to Glacier Bay National Park. I really liked the food, service and charming setting.
