If your grandma could cook like this and run a restaurant, this would be it. Everything is homemade, and you can tell, especially the strawberry jam (yes I've taken some home). If it passes my grandson's test, it's got to be good! Prices are reasonable that it almost feels like you're getting away with something. And breakfast? I came hungry and left questioning all my life choices, mostly about why I don't eat there every day. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. The only drawback is that they don't take cash, but they do have an ATM machine. read more

I enjoyed the sunrise sampler with 2 eggs , fresh toast , homemade strawberry jam, generous potion of Homemade hash browns and excellent bacon! The Mrs. Had a club sandwich with another generous portion of homemade fries , ham and turkey. EXCELLENT. The cook Erik was friendly as was his wife Lindsay and kutos to our excellent service from Miracle! The Place has a lot if character with Coca-Cola themes throughout. Don't miss this place when heading North in Michigan !!!! I did not see or hear any chickens but the eggs were fresh too! I came to Suzie Q's after reading Yelp reviews while I was in the area. It was just what I was looking for -- a cute, diner-like place for breakfast. I was surprised at how tiny the restaurant was, but it was adorable. The servers are very friendly and efficient. I ordered the cinnamon sugar pancake. It's one HUGE pancake that overlaps a large dinner plate. I was only able to eat half of it, but it was delicious. I wish there were one near where I live so I could try more things! read more

One star for my own personal experience....the rest of our party's food looked good. WHY is it that MY order ALWAYS comes out wrong?!? UGH! Ordered a steak sandwich with mushrooms and onions. Chef didn't have enough sense to let the only waitress know they were out. Needless to say, I got a flattened out piece of meat with cheese. Two bites and I was done. Cute location for a restaurant with Coca Cola Decor, right next door to a Coca Cola distributes. The floor is tiled red and white there's clicks and signs and neon just perfect. I ordered the cinnacake, which arrived on a platter and amazed my taste buds. My hubby couldn't decided between the prime rib omelette and the smothered omelette. And who we believe was the owner popped out and told us a customer said it's a perfect combo to smoother the prime rib omelette and she was right! Cute place, we'll be back. read more

My friend and I ended up getting takeout here. Both waitresses were so friendly! We talked to them a little and they were great! The one also put my mayo on the side because she didn't want it to get sloppy on my hot burger. I ordered a Patty Melt and fries and it was so good. The fries were lightly seasoned and you could tell they were homemade. Most of their food is homemade! My friend, Haddie, got nachos and she really liked those too! My son and I stopped here on our way up north and King for a place to have a nice breakfast. It's a little diner A big welcome from the owner when we walked in and the food was wonderful. My son had the omelette special with homemade American fries topped with sausage gravy which he said was delicious !!! I had the corn beef hash homemade potatoes cubed with chopped up corn beef hash very very good. Wonderful rye toast homemade jam and The best coffee I have had in a long long time. I would come back here in a heartbeat . Susie the owner was telling us about the roasted prime rib dinners that they have which sounded delicious. Decided to try this place out. Don't waste your time or money. Food was very greasy We ordered a brisket sandwich and it came with bacon on it. Who puts bacon on brisket. Very very greasy, so ordered a side of coleslaw it came in a tiny condiment dish and they charged me $1.89. The waitress could not get are Bill right. Food was mediocre at best. Walleye had boring coating, Cole slaw was ok, baked potato was hot and vegetable was awful. Green beans cooked to mush with some corn in it? Partner had prime rib fajitas. Went for Mother's Day breakfast and even got a discount for being a Mom! The owner was working so hard keeping all the tables accounted for and giving us good service! Restaurant and bathroom were super clean! The food was delicious but the bacon was the BEST! Tastes like they smoke/cure their own! We will be back for sure! read more

Our second time there and we love this place. Rueben and homemade chips were best I have had since I can remember when. Corned beef was lean, moist and shredded. Waitress said they smoke it there. I ordered 1000 island on side. It came on sandwich but waitress offered to redo and I declined. It wasnt terribly thick anyway. She even showed me how it got missed due to being on side on order. Anyway, friendly staff. Faster service than last time. Just good food. Friendly staff. Cute setting. Oh, and good coffee. And creamer is now liquid, not powder. SOMEONE needs to train the cooks and the purchasers QUICKLY. The reputation will suffer if they continue as they are doing now! Our servers were so tired of SO MANY complaints, yet they handled them very well. The hashbrowns were terrible. I watched as table after table sent their food back. I did not eat most of my meal, and the waitress apologized but we still paid full price. The American fries were nice, but the serving size was so small that the fried egg was bigger than all the potatoes! HOPE they hear the complaints and fix this. The servers were slow, they need to step it up and continue to check on their customers. And even though they say it's homemade food, they need to train the cooks not to over cook the food. Went there on Saturday May 27, 2017 for lunch. Waitress seemed upset that we wanted to split a sandwich. When the meal came out she said nothing, simply dropped the basket with the sandwich on the table then she disappeared. The other waitress on duty refilled our drinks and gave us our bill. I asked what the two misc charges of $.50 were for. She stated that they charge to split a sandwich. If it was that much effort I would have simply handed half of the sandwich over to my companion.
