I told the nail tech that the acrylic nail on my pinky was crooked before she even started painting it. she said when I add the ect it'll look/ be straight. It is sooooo sideways and these nails are for a wedding I told her right away, I wish she just listened to me. She kept stopping to text someone on her phone mid nail painting. she checked her phone at-least 5 times. She went into great deal while doing my nails the cost of the credit machine for herself. *When I picked out my color, Suzzie (owner) decided to only paint only 4 nails on each hand/ after she did it and I said "what's this?" Tried this salon out b/c it's down the street from where I work, and I was in desperate need of a manicure so that I could have pretty paws for a presentation happening the next day. The manicurist was very pleasant and sweet, but my french manicure didn't hold up for more than 36 hours (and I get regular manicures). One of the worst manicures I've received in awhile. Salon also reeks of acetone/polish and irritated my eyes. I appreciated the fact that the salon was able to accommodate me, but will be finding somewhere else to go in the future. read more

This was my first time coming here so I called and asked to make a reservation for 4:00. I show up, and I asked for the Spa Deluxe Pedicure and the girl doing my pedicure did not understand what I was telling her so Suzy had me yell across the salon while other customers were there, what I had asked the girl. Her response was "She doesn't have a lot of time. So it's gonna have to be regular." If the girl wasn't already soaking my feet in the water I would have walked out. Don't come here ladies! I am such a picky nail person but this place is awesome! $25 for shellac (the real kind) and $25 for Pedicure. I had Lucy do my nails and she was great. Very meticulous and even put an extra top coat on for me. Then Alyssa did my pedicure and made my nails look great! She cut the sides of my nails without me asking and got all the dead skin off my feat. Overall I have a wonderful experience at Lucy's salon and will be coming back. The owner of this salon treats her customers terrible She is terribly rude and disrespectful If you notice a flaw in her work, she will tell you that you are wrong and doesn't want to fix it She is condescending towards people and actually told me that I should take off my polish before I come to get my nails done because it took her too much time to take it off !Why would anyone do that ? I have gone here once before. It's a small building, and that's why I never noticed the nail salon in the past, even though I passed by it a few times on my way to work. I went in the summertime looking to get a whole manicure and pedicure done. I didn't make an appointment or anything: it was a walk-in. They did an excellent job! I asked for a specific design on my nails, and when the lady attempted the design the first time, I didn't like it... So she tried again till I liked what I had. And the nail polish lasted awhile afterwards. I've been to a few salons that were a lot better than this, but I wouldn't mind recommending this place to a friend. I have been to several nail salons across Rhode Island, but I always find myself coming back to Suzy's Nail Salon. The salon is impeccably clean, and the workers are constantly washing the pedicure bowls in between customers, and they use freshly sterilized tools on every customer. The decor isn't gaudy like most salons, so the atmosphere is very relaxing. All of the girls that work their are very friendly and do a consistently good job every time I have been to the salon. The prices are also very reasonable. I recommend making an appointment. Su is ALWAYS busy, but she does her best to fit you in within 30 minutes to an hour. Went in for a full pink and white set but ended up getting polish. They don't do the powdered white only white nail polish. Now every tech can do pink and white perfectly so I went basic to keep from being unhappy with my nails; again! Alyssa is the nail tech that helped me today and she was very nice!! The girls are always sweet..my nails always look flawless after getting them done here problem is even if you have an appointment your waiting at least a half hour to be seen. Normally ok I'll wait but the waiting area is very small and it's crowded..I feel like I'm getting sat on most of the time. If they could keep to appointments I would go back I mean I will go back when I have free time..Also the parking is horrible. I made an appointment because I had a hectic day and didn't want to have to wait. I was excited when they called to say they could take me half an hour earlier, but the excitement didn't last. I got a pedicure, but the woman doing my pedicure was also giving a pedicure to another woman and kept switching back and forth between us after each step. That would be bad enough on its own, since it made my pedicure take twice as long as it should have. But the worst part was that she didn't change her gloves once. I called ahead and it was suggested that I make an appointment if I wanted to come in on a Saturday, and I can see why! I've been going to Suzy for years now, It's only been years just because I loved she way she does my nails and honestly the only person who can satisfy me with my nails(shape and length natural look) but color never lasts for me... EVER. She blames that on me too. My friend recommended this place to me, I loved it at first! I must say they do an excellent job doing nails, BUT they're attitude is not the best. I am constantly battling with them on doing what I want. If I want a design, they try and talk me out of it or that they cannot do it. If I go to get my fill done 3 weeks later instead of the 2 weeks, they whine because it's too much work for them, but that's what we are paying them for...to do what we want them to do. I actually know several people that have stopped going to that salon because of that reason, they are now all going back to where Sue used to work in Central Falls. I think if you go to any business and you want something specific done the business should try their hardest to please the client, but it seems that in this establishment they just want to do what they want not what the client says.
