I get dip powder manicures here every 3 weeks and they've been great every time! Very clean, great color selection, and thorough. They are gentle and check in to make sure you're happy with all the details (not too hot with the electric file, good length/shape, color). After 10yrs of loyalty I will never go back again.. Just sad : I have been coming here for over 10yrs. I called at 140pm to see if they had availability. Said I would be there in 20 min . I walk in on time I'm told to hold on . White lady comes in 5 min after me and says " I called about a gel pedicure" and is sat in a chair with in 4 min of her being there. I was there first and was told to sit and wait .. the Chinese lady sees my face and says "she had an appt" BROOOOO SO DID I !! The people are rude and inconsiderate of one's time and their nails are a complete waste of time and money. They are over priced and will snap off within the first week of having them. Do not recommend. And service by employees is very poor. read more

I go here often and they are always nice. They have a very clean shop and its usually pretty fast. They do not do a ton of spa options but do offer gel, dip and regular polish. Recently they added some new gel styles like the cat eye polish that creates a marble effect. read more

I've been here a ton of times since I used to live in providence but I went back for the first time in a year with a friend. I agreed to go because their prices are pretty decent but I guess you do get what you pay for. Very disappointed because my nail chipped the night I got them done! I had a gel manicure and I was literally doing nothing but sitting on the couch so there was no reason it should chip, especially since my nails are so short it can't be because it got stuck on something. Only one thing could possibly warrant an updated review of the stellar Citi Nails salon: Shellack. In a word, it's awesome. I had my fingertips polished in a beautiful nude tone two days before I departed for the Dominican Repblic, and two weeks later, after having been in the sun, sand, water and multiple airplanes, the only tell tale sign it was an old manicure was the fresh nail showing at the base. Honestly, that shiz didn't budge. Not one bit. Sure, it takes longer, it's a few bucks more ($27 for the whole deal) and the color selection isn't as vastly ginormous as other polishes, but it's 100% worth it. They have a bunch of nudes and pinks, a pretty decent selection of reds, a handful of darker colors and a few quirky ones like blue or green in there. And did I mention it won't chip, peel, scratch, fade, or split? Seriously. It doesn't move or lose it's fresh-looking luster! Citi Nails, as always, does a fantastic job and my nails look beautiful. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I have come here 3 or 4 times over the last 3 or 4 years and each experience has been more disappointing than the last. They always take walk-ins at a price: you get a condensed subpar version of the service! My pedicure just took 15 minutes total. I barely soaked, she barely tended to my cuticles, and hot towel? What's that?! I have given them the benefit of the doubt time and time again but the bottom line is that their customer service is poor and their work (for me) has always been mediocre. If you think they do a good job you may have your socks blown off when you go to a better nail salon. I will stick to Metro Nails on Wickenden from now on!! read more

Because I had red all over my fingers and asked her if she could fix it and she said "always complain" to my face. That's the first time I ever asked them to fix it. I have been getting pedicures at Citi Nails for over 10 years. They have plenty of massaging chairs, a great staff and super accommodating hours of service. It is rare that I can not get in right away when I need a pedi (...who has time to plan and make an appointment?)! In addition to the convenience of being able to get in, if I ever go to another place to get my nails done (for whatever reason), I always end up regretting it. So disappointed! I've been to lots of nail salons - some fancy, some not - and this is probably my worst experience. The salon itself doesn't give off a very clean vibe. The ceiling is moldy, everything is outdated, dirty gloves hanging around, someone's foam toe separators laying on the drying station. Just doesn't scream "sanitary". The pedicure itself was weak. Virtually no massage, which is my favorite part. Very little time spent on problem areas (and mine aren't even BAD, just need an extra going-over once in a while). The paint job was terrible. Bubbling on one nail, one has already chipped (I went YESTERDAY!), paint left on my skin. This is close to home and was hoping to make it my new nail place. I definitely will not be back. read more

I go in to get a gel manicure and the lady immediately soaks my nails, she then uses the drill for EVERYTHING practically buffering away any enamel I might have. My nails feel incredibly brittle and just putting my seat belt on one belt the wrong direction because they're so weak from all of the drilling!!! Completely unnecessary and NEVER have I gone to a salon that did this. This manicure was NOT tradition and in fact was painful! I broke a nail before going to this salon so I asked for a DIP extension tip... she immediately starts putting acrylic on my nails... I DONT WANT THIS it makes my nails thin and brittle and breakable and I have strong nails. I NEVER needed acrylic overlay or tips in my life. Then the nail snaps off the next day... MY LAST MANICURE LASTED 3 weeks and the DIP tip never snapped off. So I call to get it fixed and She once again applies an acrylic layer to my nail and I had to say no, I don't want that. Her response was "it's stronger" it doesn't matter it's not what I want and I'm paying for it! Then I said it was a DIP gel tip and then she puts HARD GEL on my nail at this point I was done even attempting to get a dip tip. My nail is LUMPY AND CROOKED NOW AND THEY STILL MADE ME PAY FOR IT. Never again. Now I have to go to another salon and get an entirely new manicure because this is AWFUL. read more

Wanted to check out this spot, I set up an appointment for my daughter and myself. When we arrived we were told that we would not be able to sit together (and the whole point of going together is so we could enjoy some girl time,). My little girl is only 7 and this was a once in a lifetime type of experience. The manger noticed that I seemed upset, and helped out so we could sit together. As soon as my daughter was done with her nails they made her move. . Total bummer, and after paying all that money, the polish they put on me was running off, WAS STILL IN THE SALON when that happened. I understand it's polish, at some point it will come off, but not when ur paying and still in the salon. I said something to one of the lady's that work there and they told me "that's your fault because your chose that light color!" Unbelievable !!!! Didn't get any money back, or a "come again we fix for you free" nothing. Just they tried to fix with an extra 3 coats, and the. I was there another 30 mins waiting for polish to dry. Nails ended up chipping of course, 2 days later. Will never go back here again. It's a true shame, because a lot of people go to this salon. read more

Let me get started by telling you citi nails is not a spa, it is a nail salon. No frills, no champagne while you get worked on - just straight mani's and pedi's nail salon. I think you can get your eyebrows waxed too, but that about maxes out their service menu. That being said, they do a great job! Consistently long-lasting manicures (still looking great on the FIFTH day) and pedicures. And for just $28 plus tip, that is pretty damn good in my book. Citi Nails may not look like much from the outside. It resides in a tiny strip mall with an even tinier parking lot. The work done inside, however, is incredibly clean and efficient. A great selection of colors is offered, along with about half a dozen spa chairs and even more nail stations set up around the room, with a long table down the middle with fans for drying your manicures and pedicures. A TV entertains, while the staff here pampers customers with their very meticulous and incredibly sanitary services. I've been here twice and have enjoyed my experiences both times. The prices are very down to Earth... a manicure goes for $18, a pedicure for $25 and a combo of the two is a solid $35, saving you a few bucks. On Tuesdays they have a deal on Mani-Pedis for $28. I decided to try this place out based on recent reviews and the decent prices. They are open on Sundays which is a huge plus. I called an hour before they opened to leave a message about booking an appt, they answered the phone and I easily booked an appt the same day for my husband and I. We arrived and our appt started right on time. They are efficient and do a nice job. My technician was nice and gentle on my cuticles and I was happy with the results for my manicure and pedicure. I agree with some other reviews that you shouldn't expect fancy treatment and a spa-like setting but their prices are very reasonable and service is good. I will definitely go back again. read more

Went to do my usual Essie for the mani (I do a a classic French or a pedi - which came out perfect) and the women suggested I use another brand because it'll last longer. Love this place. Its clean, the staff is very friendly and they watch good daytime tv. Not soaps. hahahaha. I always loves my nails, and they don't chip the next day like some places. They do cool designs and free hand work, lots of colors too. My favorite was the candy cane red and white nails I got, talk about festive. I love the pedicure massage chairs too, you of course get to control all the crazy options that it has, while you soak your feet in warm bubbly water, heaven. I always tell people about citi nails. I've heard a lot about Citi Nails and decided to give it a whirl. When I walked in I noticed that it was clean and there were lots of chairs/stations. I LOVED that they took me right in as soon as I walked in. It's the worst when you have an apt and you still have to wait far beyond your apt time and you get the generic ''only five minutes'' yet you know it'll be more like 20! My mani/pedi were very nice (lots of nail attention - I'd rather that over 'lotion/rubbing time') and prices were very reasonable. I've been back a few times too...very consistent service. Went in on a Sunday for a much needed mani + pedi. The staff was really nice/friendly. The place is pretty clean + they have a lot of nail colors to choose from. There are 7 pedi chairs +6 mani stations. There were at least 8 ladies working!! They knew a lot if their customers by name. My manicure came out pretty well + my toes did too but after 3 hours of drying I put on some flats and the big toes got all messy :( I'm not sure why the top coat didn't dry. so sad so so so sad. my perfect pedi no longer. I would definitely go back. There are a couple parking spots but mostly street parking. If you like a pop of color on the tips of your fingers + toes, this is your kinda place!! read more

My pedicure was worth $10 not $25. It almost felt like a polish change only. I felt rushed out of my chair. My nail tech didn't even cover my entire big toe with top coat so half of it has that matte look. Unfortunately, I didn't notice until I got home. If you're looking for a quick polish change with no extra perks like lotion on your calves or a foot/calf massage this is your place. If you want something more, go elsewhere. On a previous visit, I asked if they could add a top layer of glittery nail polish. Because of that, they charged me extra saying it was a nail art charge. It was just clear glitter nail polish! I have to show some love for the ladies of Citi Nails. Hardworking, friendly, and good at what they do. They have been my ONLY mani/pedicurists for the last 2 and a half years. Clean, cheap, quiet - the perfect place to catch up with the girls or get your daytime TV on with a nice mix of slobby slobs (like myself) and fancy socialites. Best part - lotion massage all the way up to your knees during a pedicure. Really works out the knots. Weirdest part - the big massage table in the middle of the room. Seems too exposed for a full body rub down or a hair-removal session. And afterwards you can wander next door to Apsara because you've probably worked up an appetite after all that beautifying. read more

I'm from LA and finally found a nail salon that compares to my cheap but fabulous salons back home. I came in around 5:15 and was out by 6 without having to wait at all. The salon is simple but roomy. Spa chairs are amazing and they do the manicure before/after. The leg/arm massages were very enjoyable. All for $35 and they run a special on Tuesdays for $28 I think. Major perks: 1) Cleanliness 2) Regulars have personal boxes for their toe separators & nail files 3) Friendly staff 4) Great selection of OPI polishes 5) TV with the news on at a reasonable volume where you can listen if you want or totally tune out. This is salon #2 in my salon review round-up. This will be an update from my previous review, which was from a pedicure. This review is for their manicure services. I am generally happy with the manicure I received here. They use CND gel manicure brand and it seems to last a long time (over 8 days without chipping or peeling at the corners). The main complaint I have with Citi Nails is that I don't feel like they have the best customer service. Whenever I am in there I feel like cattle being shuffled from one thing to the next. Another thing is that their colors of gel polish is a little lack luster. Most of their colors are either a hue of red, pink or shimmery white. In a pinch I would go here again,, but not my favorite. read more

A pretty fast moving mani/pedi. Once they've finished, I'm always satisfied about the end result. Just make sure to take your time drying the polish... Many of the girls don't talk to you..can be awkward at times.
