I just bought an old house in Sun City and the huge yard was a horrible mess. 5 overgrown fruit trees, 4 giant overgrown pineapple palms, weeds, dead cacti, and a completely broken irrigation system. This was a huge job. We got wuotes from other landscapers that were unreasonable. But Saul gave us a very fair quote. He and his expert crew showed up on schedule. Trimmed our trees, and cleaned up our yard to perfection. He repaired all of our broken irrigation and got everything working properly. We could not be happier! They were coming to my home every 2 months to do landscaping on my backyard but I fell victim today to the dreaded no-show without notifying that seems to be an epidemic among Phoenix landscapers. I had been trying for 2 weeks to contact them to schedule a date with either no response or a half response like a day but then no time set up. Finally, we were able to set for today at 7am and then...no show. If they're too busy or are unable I rather a company be honest with me and tell me up front so I can start looking elsewhere as soon as possible rather than waste my time for the past 2 weeks waiting. But I waited for them because I figured they were really busy and I liked the job they did the 3 other times they came and did my yard. I initially called SVH to trim several plants and bushes in my pool area. Saul came out within a couple of hours, gave me a very reasonable quote, and had his guys there the same day to do the job. Because I was so impressed with their work, I asked Saul to give me an estimate on a bigger project: a brick border in my front yard, a stepping stone walkway, and a retaining wall in my back yard. I showed him pictures that I had found on the internet showing what I wanted everything to look like. Saul's team did everything exactly they way I wanted it. Well, this is first time I have been disappointed with A prospective business on Yelp. On Thursday, I found this company and was VERY excited about the reviews and success of other Yelpers. So I called Saul on Thursday and left a voice mail. I never received a call back. Surely, something had to be wrong with him as all the other reviews were raving on the fast call backs etc. so I call on Friday morning and Saul answers! So I set up an appointment for Saturday afternoon. He requests I text him my address and I do so. Well, at 6:30 Saturday night nobody called, showed up or texted. I texted Saul with no reply. As I said in a previous review, I was so happy with their work on my watering system that I had them come back a bit later to paint a stucco wall around my house. Saul came with a collegue on time and set to work. They did a lot of extra little things as they painted the wall. For example, all the plants were covered due to freeze condition. They removed the covers and replaced them after the paint had had time to dry. My wife who is a severe critic remarked about how nice it looked. I just moved to Phoenix a couple months ago and the previous owners of my home did not maintenance the yard in some time. I needed to get the work done quickly as I have visitors coming in for the holidays. I called Saul on a Friday evening and he was able to come out on Sunday to give me an estimate. We scheduled to have the work done the following Wednesday. They trimmed all the trees and bushes, removed all my weeds and dead plants and got the yard all cleaned up and looking good again. Great company. I recently purchased a used home and needed the yard cleaned up and sprinkler system checked out. They came over at the scheduled time and had the yard completed in a matter of an hour. This even included removing a dead Palm tree and checking out the sprinklers. I was so impressed with the great job along with the honest and trustworthy way they operated I signed up to have them do my weekly yard maintenance. They showed up on time for the consultation and gave a very competitive quote on the scope of work. Unbelievable! My 83 year old gardener retired and I thought I would never find any one else that could do as well.
