Tech was Great. She did her job. Don't like the video call with Dr. Made appointment this way due to receptionist said there was a $45 fee to see Dr. Maria helped me out alot. Shelly was useless. my visit went great. only thing was that when I made my appointment I wasn't inform the eye doctor was going to be a zoom call not when they called to confirm my appointment did they tell me. The doctor and employees who helped me select glasses were great. I will be going to another location in the future based on 1 employee at the front desk. Annette (I think that was her name, red head with an attitude) was extremely rude to myself and the 4 of my coworkers that went in the same week. The office staff was helpful, however my glasses took much longer to be processed as promise. When I called to check on them I felt I was told I the would check and get back with me, that didn't happen so I physically went to the store for the explanation. The Manager lacked professionalism and compassion. However, the staff was apologetic and followed up with the problem. I have been going to this location since I started wearing glasses about 6 years ago. I love the doctor here, she's super thorough and knowledgeable. This more recent experience has me exploring a new office to get my glasses from due to the customer service my mom and I both experienced from the same staff member. I got a pair of glasses around the end of December and I don't like them. I had them adjusted twice but I have long eyelashes, it's a constant struggle. I called last week to book an appt for today. I told him I got glasses a few months back, that they didn't fit right and I'm outside of my return window, so I wanted to come in for new glasses. We ended up booking an evening slot. No questions asked. When I came in tonight, he mentioned "oh right, you are getting the glasses out of pocket, right?" I said no. He mentioned I told him that over the phone, which I did not. He then mentioned my insurance was likely closed at this point so they probably wouldn't be able to help. He called, and they were indeed closed. I asked why this wasn't a question over the phone, at this point I came out of my way and didn't realize he needed my insurance company to be open. He told me again that I told him I was doing out of pocket, which I reminded him I did not. He then said "well you didn't tell me you were using insurance" and I said you're right I didn't, you made the assumption I was, but you also didn't ask like you did when I just got here. He then made the decision to push all the blame back on me and said "you are the customer, it is your job to present me with the fact that you are using your insurance and your insurance information". I told him I have never once had to show an insurance card and obviously was never even made aware of the process because it's been that smooth with little involvement from myself in the past. He just shrugged at me and again said "it's your job to present me with the information. You didn't do that." He told me I was welcome to look around but he wouldn't even be able to submit my order to my insurance because they are closed. I admit I could have been more detailed when I called to make the appt. My frustration is with the way he handled the situation. I work in a client service organization and we would NEVER throw blame at a client, we would work with them as a partner to resolve it. So when I see someone throw blame at a customer, it irks me. It's my biggest pet peeve. Had he handled the situation like a mature professional, even with our initial miscommunication, I wouldn't be writing this post today. read more

I had an appointment scheduled and they did a great job by following up with me prior to coming in. There is a staff member that is extremely rude if you do not return her calls. Upon arriving to my appointment this woman attempted to lecture me about the importance of answering my phone in a rude manner. I explained to her that I work midnights and I am an ICU nurse and it is nearly impossible for me to be reached in the morning. She continued to be rude resulting into me politely leaving and refusing to be seen by the physician. read more

The doctor was AMAZING! She was patient, kind, and informative in a caring way. The sales staff on the other hand was, as ever, rude and pushy. Trying to tell me more about what glasses I like better on my own face. They use high pressure sales tactics to attempt shame me into getting things I don't want a can't afford. The visit to SVS Vision on Goddard Rd was very pleasant. From the time I arrived , through my vision test , the staff was exceptional and professional. The Doctor, not only was able to diagnose my eye problems , she also gave my options that someday thru surgery may make it possible to not have to use corrective lens at all! I was very pleased with the eye doctor that performed my examination and the individual who placed my order for my new lenses. The reason I didn't give a 5 star rating was because I was called the day before my appointment and was told that they did not see see my optical insurance on their records. I had to race around making a few calls just hours before my appointment time, which I didn't like. I was able to confirm that I had optical insurance but I made the eye appointment with them at least two months prior and I feel that they should have contacted me about the insurance "issue" earlier than one day before my appointment. read more

I have had glasses since childhood and went to SVS because of insurance. I can say that my service from this location has been HORRIBLE! The doctor was ok and professional. However, several of the ladies that work in the office are not. Horrible service and the extended wait to get our poorly made glasses has been laughable. Now I have to go back and return the glasses they didn't make correctly. read more

Every time I dealt with this location the customer service has been horrible. The staff are rude! I called to get a refund for my glasses they told me to come in and they close at 6pm. I get there at 5:56pm and they inform me the person who does the refunds just left ten minutes ago! If this the only person who could do refunds why would you leave before the business is closed. I had a july 15th 2021 at 9:30 a.m. appointment,which was made months in advance and re-confirmed by them, on the phone,twice the week before.I arrived at 9:24 a.m. with my mask on and as soon I entered the building,the girl behind the main counter put her hand up to stop me from approaching her.She then had me to fill out a small card with my name and phone number and I was then allowed to grace her presence.She then proceeded rudley to let me know that my appointment was at 9:15 A.M! I told her it was 9:30 A.M..At that point,she said that she would have to check with the Dr. to see if he would still take me.I looked around and there were no patients in the waiting area.She also gave me a long form to fill out about medical history and such.I Explained to her that most of this was on file from my last years visit and it take me 20 minutes or so to fill it out!Why wasn't this form sent to me in the mail?My other doctors do this!I was trying to be polite and I told her that I would take a form home,fill it out and bring it back.Another female co-worker rudely told me that I would have to wait until October1st,2020! I told them to forget it.I am 63 years old and do not deserve this kind of treatment.There are too many other providers out there to have to settle for this read more

I had a good experience shopping here: I made the appointment by phone, the person answering the phone was pleasant, efficient, answered all of my questions. Was able to make an appointment for the date and time that I wanted. The store looks to have been remodeled, very clean, lots of room, not cluttered. The decor was modern and looked really nice. I arrived about 10 minutes early for my appointment and was able to fill out the paperwork so when the doctor arrived I was taken back immediately. The Dr was pleasant, answered all of my questions and made several helpful suggestions. Took about a week for my glasses to come back. I'm on my second pair of frames in 11 months from this SVS. I had to pay for a second pair because the first pair were horrible. Now that I have paid for the second pair, same problem as the first pair. They want me to buy a third pair, instead of changing the frame with no cost. BUYER BEWARE: make sure you get a intelligent person who knows how to do their job. They showed me frames I had NO BUSINESS getting because my prescription calls for thick lens that have to be put in metal frames NOT plastic. YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE TO BUY THREE FRAMES IN LESS THAN A YEAR. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED & UNSATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICE! SMH!!! read more
