I'm only giving one star because only the first part of my experience with SVS vision in Adrian, MI was good picking my glasses went very well. The very nice lady that helped me only 30 minutes before closing let me take my time and was very happy to help me. So when the time came to pick up my glasses I received a phone call and voice mail before I had awoke that day for it was my birthday and I was on vacation. I saw the number that called and assumed it was my glasses. I was so excited I didn't even listen to the message I just hit redial. The manager Dana answered saying SVS vision I then knew it was my glasses so I said my name is ------ and I missed a call from you she looked my name up and said in a very rude voice " um yea your glasses are ready " I was kind of taking back by her tone especially coming from a long time customer service person I knew that was not a good way to talk to a customer. So I simply said "ok thank you and thank you for being rude" she then says " yup you're welcome! " and hangs up. I sit there very confused I then call back and say Dana you are very rude can I speak to your manager she confirms that she is the manager I then ask her for her supervisors name she tells me Lisa and gives me a number that I don't even know if it's the real number or not. Of course no one answers and I leave a voice mail. I have not heard anything. I headed to the store where I picked up my glasses I walk out satisfied but then shortly realize I don't have any cleaner. I call and ask shouldn't I have received that stuff with my purchase. The lady on the phone says " we only give that to people that purchase anti-reflective lenses" I did purchase those lenses. She says "oh ok you can come pick that up when it's convenient for you" wow just wow! Worst customer service ever! read more

I have been going here for about 5 years now. They accept my insurance as well as when I was a kid we would come here. I now bring my 4 year old here to get his glasses for the past two years. I have always received our glasses within 3-4 days instead of 7-10. My son is a bit active but they work well with him!!! Help him pick out glasses he wants but still in the insurance budget. I have received gift cards for referring people which are great!!! My son needed new glasses. I thought he was up for a pair but insurance showed no. That was just fine because they shared the back to school special and it even saved me money with out the Insurance!!!! I love the new building!!! I had an unusual request for lenses that can view music scores 3 feet away. The first optometrist I saw here at the Ypsilanti Michigan location was not helpful; he became argumentative and I thought unprofessional about my self-reported blood pressure. However, the next time I came back, I saw a different optometrist that I liked a lot: Dr. Blackmore very professionally and efficiently assessed what I needed by having me hold a tape measure (which I brought) while she held the music score at the correct distance. I haven't been to the eye doctor for a couple of years due to a few reasons and I for health of my eyes, I came back. Their team service was really helpful really friendly, and genuine. I did have a lens error at first on my lenses, which had to be promptly solved. Helped me pick out a favorite new hopgenic frames I really like the feel and look of them. The team worked well and fast at fixing my lenses properly also in good time and went in extra to make me a happy glasses fan continued here. Dr. Yee was prompt and personable, competent and efficient. Staff greeted me warmly on the way in and thanked me for processing my paperwork beforehand online. After my eye exam, I immediately received help from the staff in choosing frames. She was helpful in my choosing the style, handling my old set of eye-glasses, and processing paperwork. Within 45 minutes, I was on the road again. I might add that SVS Vision in Ypsi was very good, especially in relation to SVS Vision in Detroit. Night and day difference! read more

I love this location. The staff is extremely helpful and efficient. I hate picking out frames for glasses and had no idea how the process was going to go because of all of the Covid precautions. The process was very easy and simple. I found two pair I liked in record time. I thought I was going to be there for hours, but the efficient staff had me out of there in under 30 minutes. This place is spectacular (as in spectacles)! I have had multiple exceptional interactions with the Manager, Vito. Due to his personable, knowledgeable, and professional customer service, I have purchased 8 pair of glasses within the last year. He is an absolute joy to interact with. My sister recommened I give them a try. I was not disappointed. Kelly was great. She even had experience in picking out the right frame styles for the right faces. I already had my percripiton, so I just needed to pick out frames and pay for lenses of course. Before insurance my total was over $900. Atfer insurance and in-store promotion it came to $423 out the door. My lenses alone are usually over $700. The frames I picked are only $429. I'll let you do the math. read more

In particularly Tabitha the manager, the last Friday of 2013 I was in desperate need of an eye exam and everywhere I called was booked. I love the way the staff exercise wearing masks and makes sure everyone is safe and satisfied. I was at the Ann Arbor location and didn't get any service. They were not organized at all. Misplaced documents etc. but I came to the Ypsilanti location very sweet, straight forward, and very thorough. I don't Know about other SVS Vision stores, but my store here in Saginaw is the best. The people are helpful from the time you arrive and to the time you leave. You get to pick out a variety of selections, and I went over my allowed insurance, so they looked around and found what looked like the brand I wanted in my price range, and actually, they look much better. SVS vision has been wonderful. I have seen three doctors, all very friendly and the staff is funny and very personable. I get my contacts typically three days after I order them. They are quick. Doctor Yee I believe his name was, treated ulcers in my eyes and I did everything as told and they were gone within a week. I will definitely continue to go to SVS vision. read more

This was my first time at this location, I have been with the company for years. This location has the best customer service from the ladies at the front counter, to the DOCTOR, to the ladies that closed our visit out. Staff is incredible, had me laughing and at ease from the moment I walked in. My technician was knowledgable and courteous. Whole establishment seemed VERY safe as far as their response to COVID-19, with hand sanitizer greeting you when you opened the door, and creative ways to manage eyeglasses folks are trying on. Dr. Blakemore did a thorough job trying to get my prescription for contacts and glasses just right! This is my second year with her and I find her very personable and helpful in answering all my questions. There also was a very patient woman who helped me pick out glasses and answered all my questions. They take my insurance which is also helpful. read more
