This store has a very disappointing return policy that all shoppers should be aware of before they buy. Swank Boutique does not inform you about this little policy until AFTER you have purchased (it's printed on the bottom of the receipt): No cash returns, period. If you buy it and take it home and find out it doesn't actually work with the outfit you bought it for, you can ONLY return it for store credit (and that's only if you don't take the tags off and still have your receipt). If it's defective, they'll offer to fix it, but they still won't give you a refund. For a store where clothes average $100-$150, this policy is so lousy, I will never shop there again. If I shop at the Goodwill, and spend only $5, I expect this kind of a policy; when I hand over one hundred dollars, I expect to have the security that if what I paid for doesn't work out and is in 100% resellable condition, I can get my money back. Not only that, I would expect that an item I paid so much for should be replaced or refunded if it is defective. Additionally, if you have a problem, they will respond very rudely to you, including on their own Facebook page for all the world to see. This is the kind of business that's great if you never have a problem, but if you do, you'll never want to go back again because you will be treated horribly. read more

Nice place, however...There are only a few items I can ever find that I like at this store. I think the prices are WAY over the top for some things... $70 for a sheer t shirt is wwwaaaayyy too much for me. $120 for a pleather jacket? I went across the street and found 10 comparable jackets for less than half. It's a super cute place with trendy clothing and great staff. It's always clean and neat, I just think it's well over priced, even for a private little boutique. Free off the street parking and I do check back every so often and have made a few small purchases. read more

I visited Swank for the first time because i had heard good things about it, but was put off from the get go. Their was no one else in the store, but as I walked around, the lady (owner?) followed me around straightening everything after I looked at it, as if I was somehow ruining her row of clothing. I was barely moving anything, there are not a lot of clothes on the racks so it does not take much to pull a blouse out to look at it in detail, but apparently she didn't want anything moved. OMG this place can not be more "swanky", they have the hottest jeans, accessories and Bitchy Housewife candles made locally. The owner is now by herself and it is better than ever! This place is sexy and filled with couture for every budget and every age group. I just got a faux shearling black leather jacket with a crash and burn rock and roll tee. I look damn good. I love Swank. I can't get over the hip and edgy items (who doesn't like a little bling and fleur d'lis in their life?). Easy access, great mix of high and low, and ingenious in giving the North Side such a great destination shop. What more, I have never had a negative shopping experience here. The staff (clerks and owner included) have all been fabulous: helpful, attentive, and willing to go the extra mile to get you what you want. They're beautiful and stylish, but don't seem to have that snooty attitude I've been finding to much of late in Spokane boutique retail. Recession or not, I dont mind spending my money here - ever. read more
