We have been home from our trip to France for about a month now and we were craving traditional French bread. We searched and found this boulangerie in north Austin and holy smokes...the bread is amazing!!! It is crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The owners are amazingly sweet people and their pastries are also to die for. We had the cravattes and chocolate croissants. Everything has been amazing and we made new friends in the process. My first time here my friend recommended we have lunch here~ Smallish area with a large shareable table also 4/5 tables for 2/4 with Bistro chairs adding to the very French decor along with the owner & staff speaking French. I ordered a Goat cheese brulee salad just terrific w/ blueberries, greens & walnut in a light vinaigrette. Really really tastyalso had an iced mocha quite tasty ~ my friend had avocado toast on sourdough with tomato & greens looked DEEELISSH so good she said she could of had another in addition to her cappuccino. Both our plates were clean. The environment is super cleanand features a lovely with a case of sweet treats, croissants , eclairs and the like. Order at the counter, pay then food served tableside. I've been to this place a few times and i've had mixed experiences. It seems as if the pastries are very well made.However the coffee is definitely a mixed bag. Today I ordered a cortado and let the woman know what I was expecting and she did a great job. If I could give the almond croissant a ten out of five I would. It. Was absolutely a ethereal and one of the best i've ever had. All the pastries look amazing.I have yet to eat some of the savory food but they had offerings of croque monsieur, cassoulet, chicken with mushrooms, etc. I absolutely love french food and especially country style. This place is definitely very pricey. It was $17.14 for 1 pastry and coffee plus 18% tip. Ugggh ...so I won't visit often. Lovely and warm French bistro in Westlake. I ordered coffee and brought home a chocolate croissant for my husband. He thought it was so wonderful. I'm always looking for a new French boulangerie in Austin - there are very few that I actually really like and have pastries that are well made without cutting corners. I was happy to say that Saveurs was lovely and I've added it to my list. They have a lovely coffee shop/wine bar type set up with a cute indoor area as well as a small outdoor patio area beside the parking lot. It is owned by a French couple and has beautiful lamination on their pastries and a crisp, flaky croissant is really all I ask for. I also had a kouign-amann which was good overall, but oozed butter a bit with chewing the soft parts which wasn't the most pleasant. Honestly though, the ambiance is wonderful, it's a nice area and I liked the pastries enough I'll probably be back to try more. read more

Went here for some pastries and they were pretty good. The chocolate croissant was flakey and excellent but I thought the almond croissant had a weird taste and was too chewy for my preference. I have to knock it down a star because the coffee is completely overpriced for just nespresso pods you can buy yourself for pennies. read more

This is my favorite Boulangerie in Texas and is owned by the sweetest French couple. I'm so glad they opened this location in Austin since I'm a little reluctant to drive all the way down to San Antonio from Dallas for some French goodies. Everything here is so fresh and the service is kind and fast. Also, love the display of their baked and refrigerated goods. For my family, the ham and butter sandwich and the croissants are favorites. Oh and eclairs when they are available! read more

I am 28M from Paris France, and i have to say this is the best Boulangerie with the most AUTHENTIC french taste in the greater Austin area. Do not be fooled by these fake reviews there is nothing closer to the REAL french goût than this location. The pastries and breads and desserts are mostly brought in from the San Antonio shop, which is big and has ovens and a mixer. This place doesn't. The pastries look 2 days old and most are Frenched. If you don't like dark baked pastries, try and pre order, with a note, email and text. read more

Food: 3 stars Choices we're pretty limited by like 9:45 or so and the kitchen closes at 2:30, so come early to have a lot of fresh options! We ordered a vegetarian quiche, raspberry croissant, pain au chocolat, cappuccino and an iced latte. The croissants were great, but the quiche had a soggy bottom. I'm glad there was some mixed greens to go with the quiche to help cut through the fattiness of the goat cheese n butter. The cappuccino is decent tasting and is quite strong. The latte had a lot of coffee grounds, and I would suggest using simple syrup for iced drinks because having crystal sugar at the bottom looks kinda nasty. Venue: 4 stars Super cute venue on the bottom right side of a business complex. Nice decor and has a nice lil storefront for miscellaneous frenchy items. Inside of the bakery is quite toasty, so I hope they get their AC fixed soon or something since it makes it a little unpleasant to stay for long periods of time. There's plenty of parking outside. I also hope there's a sign or something coming soon since it wasn't as easy to find. As much as I love queen Rihanna, I'd suggest having different music to set up the ambiance for a quaint modern french bakery. Staff: 3.5 stars Staff were all very sweet, but they're a little unorganized and they could probably hire more people to work since service was slow despite the place not being insanely packed. Summary: There are very good things that this spot is doing but also very disappointing things as well. Pastry is good. Coffee tastes like NESPRESSO because they're made from NESPRESSO pods. Look, this is a nice cafe/bistro kind of place. But its strength is their downfall. Let's start with the positives: their food is largely superb. Their offerings are generally following the idea that less is more and it works. There are definitively some differences in food philosophies between what I expect and what is presented but these differences are largely very minor and passable. Their pastry is where they shine with good construction that belies a traditional and thoughtful approach to their food. French pastry is notoriously labor intensive in the prep and while technically simple, the art is in the details. Layer construction, spacing, density, and texture all play a part in the symphony that is bread and this place nails it. While I understand the temptation to order chocolate flavored goods, do yourself a favor and order the plain goods. There is an elegance to the mantra of less is more and it truly shows here. If I could rate just the food then 10/10. What's average: Ambiance is passable. It's a cafe/bistro, what do you want? It's fine and it works. Service is also passable and average, but again what do you really want here? It's fine and the workers largely get their job in a "timely" manner, though it can be questionable for certain things (a croque monsieur should not take 20 min to make when I'm one of the only customers and possible with the only active ticket). Now the disappointment. Anything coffee related. Here's they also went "less is more" but in the wrong direction. With the food being of such high standards and shining through it is unbelievably disappointing and FRUSTRATING that they are opting to serve NESPRESSO coffee at such ridiculous prices like they were handcrafted by a barista. Maybe the majority of people will not notice, but for those who care, charging me ANYTHING more than $2 for a drink made by a NESPRESSO espresso machine where the only skill required is to put in the correct pod and make sure that the water levels are sufficient into a $650 machine and then casually stream milk with no regard to quality is INSULTING. What angers me so much is that the staff make a point to note that pastry items are handmade and therefore worth the premium, but then to turn around and charge the same premium for a BUTTON PRESS is unbelievably disrespectful. What makes it worse is that for that price they could have just put in an actual basic espresso machine, spend LESS OVERALL (each NESPRESSO pod ordered from Amazon is $1) and have a better product. read more

I don't recommend this place. It's overpriced (ex. $6.2 for a croissant) and they don't have much items. Not to mention, the croissants are tiny portions compared to the other great boulangeries! Was there a no tip option? In a hurry so surely I didn't have to tip at least 10% on a to go item I was handed. I did 20% on food I bought at the counter. The French manager is charming. I am a bakery, patisserie and boulangerie FIEND and I have to credit my tattoo artist, Cora Mylene (Home (coramylene.com)) for recommending this place to me. Her parents happen to know the owners, who moved here from France, and opened this shop up recently after running another location in San Antonio for several years. I was immediately infatuated with this place; French bistro vibes, music, smells... And even a clock featuring the current time in Paris on the wall! I had the raspberry croissant and the smoked salmon baguette. If I had to choose a death-row meal, this is it, hands-down. I will continue to be a patron and recommend this lovely place to others. My partner and I drove from South Lamar, and it was 100% worth it. 10/10! read more

I came in to try a piece of pie or Donut and nobody was in front to formally welcome me to their establishment. I went to use the restroom and oddly someone tried to open the door on me. As I was exiting the restroom I was greeted with a very rude french accent only thing I could understand was "you just use my bathroom and no conversation" He seemed very rude and l made him aware nobody greeted me prompting him to Whip out a waiting bell and rang it for example. He was very hostile so I decided to not get a snack. I don't recommend to anyone with a disorder/ disability..
