Went up to Azle to visit a friend's daughter and decided to meet up for ice cream. Closest place to her was Sweedee Sweets in Springtown! It's definitely an ice cream parlor that gives you that small town charm, of course - coffee, ice cream, cookies, etc. The employees are absolute sweethearts and make you feel right at home. You walk in and the entire parlor just gives you a warm feeling of being home with a bowl of ice cream. Perfect ambiance.

Coffee is pretty good. They have a few sugar free options and different milk substitutes! The lemon gooey cookie was my favorite. The Cookie Monster one was hard as a brick. But overall cute little spot!

Caramel macchiato and a Sopapilla cookie ice cream sandwich with vanilla ice cream. Sooooo delicious!!

This place was VERY good. They don't have an extensive selection, but what they do have is amazing. We were going to get an ice cream sandwich, but after trying a few of the flavors we just HAD to have ice cream. This place is worth stopping for. Also, the service was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Quiet and clean. Would stop by here again, for sure. read more

Stopped in Saturday afternoon with friends and we all enjoyed the homemade ice cream sandwiches. I tried the butter lemon cookies and the Chocolate chip caramel and sea salt I believe. Yummy yummy. They also give you a huge scoop of blue bell of your choice in between the cookies. We had such a good time here and the staff was so friendly and nice. The kids loved it too. Definitely a place to stop. read more

Sweedee Sweets is my new favorite spot! From the moment you enter the quaint shop, you can smell the fresh baked cookies and intoxicating aromas of brewing coffee. The sweet staff made my first visit such an enjoyable experience. I ordered the Red Velvet Cookie Sandwich with the Blue Bell Strawberry ice cream, and it was delectable. My husband ended up getting chocolate chip cookies and he could not stop eating them. I can't wait to go back and try the other flavors. I'm a long way from home, being that I am from California and made this trip to Texas for the first time in my life. Sweedee Sweets and their linked cafe are a one stop shop that I am glad I made a stop to! Let's begin with their morning made ice cream sandwich! I use to work at an icecream shop in san Francisco and so I know alittle bit for what to look for. Now, this place got it right and I am almost tempted to ask them what they are making their cookies out of! Rich yet perfectly crispy and holds its structure while breaking apart all in slo-mo. That first bite you take explains it all as it swirls inside of my mouth with my favor strawberry cheesecake! The desert complements the home-like vibes and though the treat is cold, the environment warms you up! And I love that. During this time of pandemic, everything is locked up which can be suffocating! I know... I'm one of them.. hahaha but this place keeps their distance as do their tables and customers from what I saw! Overall, I love the place and a fitting end to my trip in texas! I've found a go-to stop for the next trip I make there!! read more

They said they would but would charge me a gratuitous $5 delivery fee. I asked for the manager and asked for a good faith gesture to deliver a pizza as it was ordered at no cost to me. The brisket was nearly flavorless, and both meats were bone-dry. Brisket is easy to get wrong if you're not experienced, but unless you overcook pork ribs to a ridiculous extent they're difficult to dry out that much. At the time we chalked it up to the possibility of a single off day, and resolved to give them another chance at some point. That point was yesterday, when we ordered (again, via DoorDash) the pork ribs again, smoked ham, collard greens, pinto beans and coleslaw. Well past the original estimated delivery time I received a call from our DoorDasher and Maxey informing me that they were out of pinto beans, so I opted to substitute more coleslaw. When the food finally arrived both meats were, once again, just as dry as they could possibly have been. It was actually difficult to tell where the rib meat ended and the bones began. Not even the BBQ sauce could save it. The ham was in a similar condition, though not quite as bad as the ribs, which were actually burnt (I'm not talking about bark, I'm talking about charcoal). The coleslaw was nearly flavorless, and while the collard greens were a little better, they were clumped into dense balls of leaves, making for a very unappetizing texture. We won't be making the same mistake a 3rd time.

Sweedee Sweets is a hidden gem. The environment is friendly, welcoming and smells of fresh baked cookies. As soon as you walk in, someone is there to greet you and help you pick your ice cream sandwich combo. The ice cream sandwiches are delicious from the cookies to the ice cream to the toppings.
