Excellent! I visited this location when it was under different ownership a long time ago and have wanted to try the new version for quite a while. Went for the first time this morning and I'm SO full. Fat and happy. I had a breakfast burrito (no meat) with a side of Cajun home fries. It's served with homemade salsa and there's a choice between mild and hot. I went all in with hot and the salsa was perfect. Sour cream is included as well. Delicious and gigantic...even without the meat (which was my choice...it normally comes with meat inside that giant pocket of breakfast goodness). It seems like there were a dozen eggs and pounds of cheese (menu said pepper jack but this cheese seemed milder) in there....accompanied by lightly grilled onions. The home fries were delicious and just spicy enough for the first meal of the day. I usually like very well done potatoes, but these were cooked just right...a few crunchy bites here and there with the soft, spiced red potatoes taking over for texture. Not greasy, either. Score. Rave reviews on the eggs Benedict. I tasted the sauce....VERY rich...and again....holy generous portion, batman. Coffee is good and strong. Service is fast and friendly. The decor is "modern-throwback-diner" and the whole place is super clean. Lots of regulars poured in and the folks that work there quickly hustled over with the drinks that those regulars wanted (before ordering)...and some conversation, of course. The breakfast and lunch menus are extensive and have something for everyone. Check the specials board...today they had chocolate chip cookie dough pancakes as one of the options....I almost went there.... but decided on protein instead of diabetes. Next time. Prices are beyond reasonable. Only want a piece of french toast? $3. My gigantic burrito was about $8. Coffee is $2.50 with free refills. So glad I finally made it here; I'll definitely be back.

Love the new space - much more comfortable than the old Eli's space. The food is very real - housemade corned beef hash with homemade corned beef. Individually made pancakes. Eric. Some are executed better than others. The burrito was amazing with fluffy cheesy eggs. The corned beef hash was a bit dried out.

Cute place- friendly staff. We tried the breakfast burrito very heavy so bring your appetite. Overall flavor average. Corn beef hash was hearty with big chinks of potatoes and beef. Pancakes were huge!!

In fact, this location is in a marine on an alcove and has several slips for docking. The restaurant has outdoor dining on the large patio overlooking the water or along the deck. We were pleasantly suprised with the quality of food and service. The server was courteous, welcoming, and funny. Every one of our needs was attended to throughout the experience. I ordered a portabello mushroom sandwich with housemade fries. It was served with a balsamic glaze and a portion of their homemade garlic aioli which aside from that would have mad the meal fully vegan. My friend had the bacon cheeseburger topped with melted cheese and crispy thick smokey bacon, not that thin chain restaurant stuff. He really enjoyed it. With a Fiddlehead IPA draft it was an excellent meal. Did I mention how great the server was? Talk about being made to feel at home, we were treated like regulars. I hope the surgery goes well! We were made to feel like family and with the conversation with other customers I feel like that's how everyone gets treated which is awesome!! This is probably a more popular place during warmer months when a patio is open and boat docking is available along the Hudson River. There was only one table of four being served when we arrived at 6 p.m. on a Sunday. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the place is noticeably clean. There was a special on Wings, order 6 and get a dozen for the same price ($13.95). We chose the Whisky BBQ sauce to go with our Fiddlehead IPAs ($6/pint). The wings were meaty and tasty buy not real crispy. My wife didn't notice any whisky flavor, but I thought I did. We also tried the Fish Bites ($8.95) - pieces of haddock breaded and deep fried. They were a nice change from chicken fingers. While my wife ordered their Hawaiian Chicken Wrap Special ($10.95) - with pineapple BBQ sauce, provolone, and a side of cabbage salad, I had their French Dip ($12.95) - with onions, sauteed mushrooms, provolone, au jus, and a side of potato salad. Both dishes were very tasty and plentiful. We each ended up taking half of our meal home for next day's lunch. The food here comes across as home style and is a good value. I'd like to get back once the patio is open and try the hush puppies, a burger, and some of the desserts.

My prosciutto wrapped cod in corn chowder was excellent! They carry Harney and Sons teas which is great! Unfortunately neither of our tea services were served with cream and sugar/honey. I wish I could say nice things about the desserts but unfortunately I can't. Neither of them were good. The crust on the coconut custard pie tasted bitter and burnt even though it wasn't burnt. Just not sure what happened there, unless the crisco to make the crust was old? The lemon tart didn't taste like anything really, definitely not lemon. It was buried in powdered sugar so it just tasted like a mouthful of sugar. It did come with the tiniest little dollop of whipped cream. I definitely wish there was a healthier portion of that because that and the fresh berries on the side were the best parts.

Last night we found out why. Wallie's is located in Greenwich (NY - pronounced GREEN-wich) which is just over the Hudson from Schuylerville and about 20 minutes from Saratoga Springs. Well worth the drive. I was told that the restaurant has been around a long time (one of our friends used to go there with his parents as a youngster), but was closed for many years. The current owners did a fabulous renovation job! It's well beyond tavern quality. If they upgraded the seating to plush chairs, you would think you walked into a five-star dining establishment. Our food and beverages did not disappoint. My hubs and I ordered Whiskey Sours which were truly authentic. I'm a martini gal and hadn't had one in years - it was delicious. We shared the Calamari appetizer which was perfectly fried, crispy and not greasy, and the perfect size portion for two. It was accompanied with a thick marinara. We thoroughly enjoyed their house special, Prime Rib (offered in 10 or 14 ounce portions), which was cooked to perfection (rare). The beef was offered with horseradish or horseradish cream (or both!). The mixed vegetables that accompanied the meat were fresh and not overcooked. There was also a baked potato. We were too full to sample dessert. Next time! Our server was accommodating and the timing of delivery of our food was a bit slow (there were only two other tables with patrons) but we were not in a hurry so we didn't mind. Wallie's was a superb find. You won't find better prime rib anywhere. Their menu is limited but they cover all the bases. Items are reasonably priced. I do hope they expand their offerings - or add specials (which they didn't have last night) - to get locals and other regulars to dine there more often. Having said that, it's the prime rib that draws our friends to this place (a 15-20 minute drive from Stillwater). Wallie's bar area is charming. Warm and cozy with bar and table seating. They also have off-street parking. This place is a winner!

No problem parking on this visit in January. The dining and bar area had maybe four other parties when we arrived at 1 p.m. We probably didn't need to have made a reservation, but it was better to have been safe than disappointed. The bartender was assigned to serve our table and informed us of three delicious sounding soups that were available - Italian Wedding, French Onion, and the third that none of us tried. Instead, water, Cola ($3), and a winter warming Chatham - Oh Snaps! ($8) were our appetizers. The Oh Snaps brown ale was smooth and flavorful with its addition of cinnamon and ginger. My Smash Burger ($16.99) was served on a fresh bun with two patties, American cheese, sauteed onions, lettuce, tomato, and their house "birdie sauce." I opted to upgrade my side to onion rings for $3. I was not asked how I wanted my burgers cooked and they came out medium by my judgement. Overall, the combination of all the flavors was good. The onion rings appeared to be made inhouse and were tasty. My fellow diners were very pleased with their Club sandwich ($16.99) and Fried Chicken Sandwich ($16.99). Portions were large enough that each of my friends brought half of their lunch home. There is a nice view through the glass doors leading to the raised deck overlooking the golf course.
