i've been here several times over the years, and they never disappoint. i came here with some…read morefriends on a friday afternoon. the space is very cute, although it is a little drafty by the door (i had to keep my coat on). we were seated immediately. all of the tea here is excellent, and their london fog is top tier. you can't go wrong with any tea. i ordered a cup of the sweet potato chili and the bananas foster crepe. it took about 20 minutes for our food to arrive. the chili tasted just like the trader jooe's harvest chili, which i love. it was very hot and i burned my tongue several times because i wanted to keep eating it. the crepe came out slightly later. the edges were very crisp and it was packed with filling. the scone cream they use seems to be clotted cream, which balances out the sweetness of the caramel quite well. i also tried my friend's fruits of the forest scone, which was very crumbly but had great flavor. i love this place and will certainly return when i can.

We initially considered sitting inside, but the smell of eggs was so overwhelming/nauseating that we opted for outdoor seating instead. The patio was charming and cozy. The service was friendly, attentive, and one of the highlights of our visit. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations. We all ordered the brunch tower, which included a "fruit salad" that consisted of squishy grapes, sour Granny Smith apple chunks, and canned mandarin oranges. The fruit tasted low quality and unappetizing, and I only managed a few bites. I also ordered the bananas foster crepe, which was severely overcooked. The crepe was so tough that I needed a knife to cut through it, and the texture was far from what I would expect from a crepe. Overall, while the service was pleasant and seating was prompt, the food quality left a lot to be desired, especially considering the price point.

Im not even a chicken thigh person, but this dish changed me. I actually felt tended to and taken care of by the food! Does that even make sense??? It did when I was eating because that's how I felt. And the crazy thing is, I've been here once before. I loved what I ate, but it didn't feel like this. It's been a rough couple of months, but after this meal and listening to the carefree, but intentional music, it lit up my mood and my spirit. I suppose it wouldn't have been so bad if I liked it. The bacon was not good. It was very greasy and kind of also dry and gritty. The egg had no seasoning. The toast was good the jam was good the hash browns were good. I don't enjoy them for breakfast. I did have the best fish sandwich I've ever had in my life there a long time ago it was a special. Was that fish sandwich and had a yummy sauce. It's a fun experience to go there by do not like the breakfast. I couldn't get anybody to eat this bacon except the dog and she can't eat bacon.

The omelette actually came with the same challah bread that the french toast was made from. If I lived closer, I'd be buying that challah bread every week. It's so freakin' good! The french toast is HUGE! Really... you should share it. The several bites I took were incredibly satisfying. The cinnamon was just right. And because it was already sweet... we opted to forgo the syrup. The french toast also came with a bunch of blueberries, blackberries and raspberries!! The med omelette was filled with sausage, spinach and tomatoes. I loved every bite. I don't know when we'll be back tin Saratoga... but I will definitely be coming back to Sweet Mimi's when I do.
