TLDR: The owner lacks basic business management skills, manners, or legal understanding of contractual terms. The cleaning was sloppy and incomplete. If you value clear policies, respect for customers, and a business that understands both service and legal obligations, take your money elsewhere. I booked this cleaning service through Angi, clearly listing my specific needs--including dishes--in the project description. Kristin, the owner of Sweeply, reached out to me based on that information, and I booked a recurring service with her company. At no point before booking was I informed that dishes were not included. Only after I had already scheduled and paid did I receive a voicemail (left at 8 pm the night before the service) stating that dishes would require an extra charge--with no follow-up to confirm I had received or understood this correction. Beyond the lack of transparency, the actual cleaning was sloppy and incomplete. The bathroom was left untouched, and visible debris remained on the floor. When I raised these issues with Kristin and informed her that I had found another service, she responded with rudeness, dismissiveness, and a complete lack of professionalism. Rather than taking accountability, she accused me of having "questionable concerns" and tried to blame me for expecting services that were entirely reasonable based on her company's initial outreach. She also questioned why I had rebooked with someone else and, in an extremely condescending tone, asked if it was because they were cheaper--as if finding a service that fulfills all of my requirements at a better price is somehow unreasonable. To make matters worse, Kristin demanded an additional $60 if I wanted her to abide by her company's own policy and return to complete the job. She claimed that because I had decided to cancel my recurring service (after realizing she had misrepresented the scope of services before I booked), I was the one failing to uphold my end of the agreement. What's ironic is that I actually followed Kristin's own policies as posted on her website. When I realized the cleaning wasn't satisfactory, I contacted her immediately and requested that someone return to complete the job. I also canceled my future appointments more than 24 hours before the scheduled service, exactly as her policies require. Despite this, Kristin initially refused to follow her own rules, proving that she enforces them selectively when it benefits her. At this point, it's abundantly clear that Kristin lacks even the most basic business management skills. A legitimate business would have clear policies in place, communicate expectations before accepting payment, and handle disputes with professionalism--not defensiveness and hostility. Instead, I was met with excuses, poorly written emails, and a blatant refusal to take responsibility. Kristin's lack of legal knowledge is equally concerning. She seems to believe that leaving a voicemail after taking someone's money somehow changes the terms of an agreement--which is not how contracts work. Her inability to grasp basic consumer rights and contract law is just another red flag that this business is not operating with the competence one should expect. While Sweeply eventually agreed to return and correct their mistakes, it was only after unnecessary back-and-forth and unprofessional behavior. If you value clear policies, respect for customers, and a business that understands both service and legal obligations, take your money elsewhere. In response to Kristin: No problem! I have now attached stills from the video of the bathroom. Unfortunately, the stills from the living room floor did not come out clearly enough to show the debris. I have also included the screenshot where I sent these videos to you, as requested, and received no response. You'll notice that the bathroom is not "in disrepair," nor was the rest of the house. Per your website, you recommend listing the level of cleanliness to ensure the cleaner books enough time. I booked for a very dirty house (even though mine wasn't), for a 2-bath, 1-bed home, 0-1,499 square feet (my apartment is 770 sqft). I also placed all personal belongings on the bed to allow space for cleaning. I never requested a refund--only that you honor your policy. You had all the necessary information upfront. My post specifically mentioned dishes, sweeping, dusting, laundry, and the litter box. You reached out to me based on that post. When we initially spoke, you informed me that your company does not handle litter boxes and that laundry requires an additional fee, which I agreed to. I did not bring up dishes during the call because I assumed that, as the business owner, you had read the job description and would inform me--just as you did with the laundry and litter box--if anything else was not included in your services. I will not be responding further. I wish you the best of luck

I left a google review about my recent experience with this company and they commented to my post…read morebut I was unable to respond to it so I'll do that here. I was dissatisfied with my one and only service from this company. When I called and emailed them the same day about my experience, I was ignored. Saying that my google review is a week too late and outside a 48 hour satisfaction window is ridiculous cause I tried multiple times and never heard back. The google review wasn't a way to contact you guys again, it was just to share my honest experience. Also, the cleaning did not take 16 hours as you say, it was only 8 hours and 15 minutes. Also, the home has 3400 sq of living/cleaning space, trust the homeowner more than a Zillow listing. The garage is the extra 300 which isn't part of a cleaning. Anyway, the two ladies arrived at 11:30 and left at 3:45pm. I have the timestamp from the phone arrival and text from finishing since I wasn't home during the service. Maybe I was supposed to stay the whole time and watch but I trusted this company. The comment about it being $918 vs $1000 cleaning is irrelevant since the difference is negligible and I applied the discount myself with a code I found, y'all didn't try to help me out or had special customer service when booking so please don't boast about that discount price. If you guys truly made this exception out of the goodness of your hearts, I wish you would have had better communication, especially since this was an expensive cleaning. Nevertheless, I don't blame the cleaners, I blame the customer service. They ignored my follow ups, which included asking about reoccurring cleanings incase my location could work and they would clean better the next time. I was happy to work with them on a future solution if it was possible but never heard back. Just needed you to say you did a job and cannot provide cleanings in the future due to location or anything. Not ghost. You replied so fast on google, it should have been easy to contact me back. In the future, please just say sorry to hear about your experience and thank you for the feedback, that's all. Thanks

5 years of a client relationship ruined!…read more The ladies usually do a good job, however the last time was a DISASTER. First, they rushed through cleaning (2 ladies normally take 2.5 hours to do our home, they magically did it in 1 hour this time??) Then, as soon as I walked into the kitchen I saw our counters....THEY WERE RUINED! We have polished marble and it looks like one of the ladies used some kind of cleaner they weren't supposed to and etched the heck out of them on the day of a holiday party. I informed them immediately and sent them photos and instead of apologizing and offering a solution they gaslit me and claimed none of their employees could have done this. Specifically: "They said they been at your house couple times and they always use the same product for the kitchen, don't know what could do that" I asked if they had insurance so we could just file a claim and get it fixed because obviously someone DID something, but again they insisted they weren't at fault and they only use eco friendly products.....(eco friendly products CAN still etch marble) "We do have insurance but we don't going to use it until we make sure we did it, the team said they cleaning the same way like always" They are the only ones who clean our counters, so who else could've done it in the 30 seconds between leaving my home and me walking into the kitchen? I was going to let them come back to assess the damage, but honestly after feeling gaslit about the situation and getting a $1500 quote from the marble refinisher, I just got a bad taste and don't want to deal with them anymore as I have a feeling they're just going to continue to deny it. I pay them $500 a month total in cleanings for over 5 years, that's over $30,000, so I expect to at least not have any damage in my home!
