They have amazing staff who are caring and super hands on. The phone was ringing off the hook and not once did she leave my girls side or make them wait. Visited earlier this year. My thoughts and observations. The workers there really seem like they're just counting the minutes when they can get off work. I got zero sense that they're interested in the party at all. That being said. I get it. It's a job and it's not their calling in life or something they're passionate about. So I don't give low marks for that. Just sharing for the readers to understand that you're gonna get staff that will have low tolerance for kids who aren't paying attention. The area where the kids change into their dresses is incredibly crowded. Also the place is loud with the annoying noises from other parties or patrons. The staff that give the kiddos stuff like nail painting can do a better job of sharing how to remove it. Scratch "better" but just share something period. No info was provided on that and it was annoying to deal with. Also when they do the hair, they pull the hair of the kids more often than not. I've seen guys do better job at being gentle than that so urge to do better here. It's like they get some secret satisfaction out of it almost. Last but not least. Would be great if they enforced the lining up of kiddos during the sing-a-long better. I saw kids getting slapped with the sticks they provided because other kids lined up in front of them too much. I have been taking my daughters to this location for over ten years and typically have had a great experience. I arrived at my appointment with my 11 year old daughter and the receptionist informed me upon arrival that my 11 year old was considered a "teen" and I was going to be charged extra money for the haircut which would now be $50! I insisted that this was ridiculous and no where on their website or over the phone when confirming her appointment would I have imagined she was a teen haircut. The lady who charged me at the register wasn't friendly. I was charged 20% gratuity for my child's haircut and makeup. Which is wild. The music playing in the background had curse words. I don't mind pop music, I would expect a place that cuts toddler and little kids hair to play clean versions of songs though. My child had the first hair cut experience. It was an underwhelming experience for her. No excitement from staff, no welcome. No happy interaction with my kid. It was like get in the chair, mom what are we doing? I was handed a ziplock bag of hair and had to ask for the certificate. It was given to me blank to fill out and didn't include a photo which there is a circle for on the certificate. My child was allowed to pick out a sucker that came with her haircut, but the cashier wouldn't allow my 3 year old to also have a sucker. Which I thought was silly. The cashier person even said "only the kid who got the haircut gets a sucker." I would have paid for an extra sucker. There wasn't any excitement. The staff seemed sad to be there. The actual haircut was good and make up execution was good for what it was. I drove from McKinney to get her haircut here for a special experience. If you are looking for a place your kid feels pampered and special, which was what I was hoping for, this isn't the place. In theory based off the website- Yes. I was excited to try Sweet & Sassy, but wow, does the customer service and overall experience leave MUCH to be desired. The first interaction over the phone felt extremely rushed, with the employee not even allowing me to get out what I wanted to have done for the kids constantly speaking over me and then trying to up charge for additional services. It was exhausting and frustrating. Nonetheless, booked anyway. The general vibe of the place just seems very unfriendly and unwelcoming. There is noticeable lack of warmth feels very awkward. As for the experience I booked for three children - AWFUL. What should have been a fun and positive experience, left all three in pain from having their hair pulled extremely hard, with no regard to their comfort level. I am a long time customer. I booked an appointment for 2:30 today with SAMYA. After a text reminder, a call and an email reminder we went in for the appointment about 2:27. After the white, very heavy set woman working the register looked up my daughter's name she told me I booked the wrong service. I booked the only service listed for wash, cut and braids listed. She told me I should have booked the teen cut. A teen cut was not an option listed though and she admitted it wasn't. She tells me to wait a moment and walks over and starts talking to another stylist. She comes back and tells me a new girl can take us in just a couple of minutes. I told her our appointment was with Samya. She then proceeds to explain that I didn't put Samyas name in the notes section when I booked the appointment so she was going to try and call someone in early to take over so Samya could get us in around 3. I showed her my emailed confirmation, pictured with this review, and stated I clearly made an appointment with Samya. No where did it state I needed to put Samya's name in the notes section. At this point I asked if she could just refund my deposit. I do not appreciate being blamed for management overbooking Samya. This woman is not doing Sweet and Sassy any favors and should not be in customer service. I have to figure out a new place to take my daughter now because we won't be coming back. read more

Technician didn't wash hands when switching from feet to face. Manicure was more of a Polish change which was smeared. Over $100 in 30 min experience was such a disappointment. Edit after paying if I could give 0 stars o would I was being nice giving 2 stars before. So I tipped my nail people and then when I pay they tell me there's an automated gratuity for a party of two. And amazingly now the employees that were not qualified to do nails before are now doing nails on another client as I am leaving. Every little girls dream! Such a cute place! Booked a spa package for my daughter and niece to have a mani pedi spa day on her big special day! My money would've been better spent at an actual nail salon. They were 20 mins late for our appointment and both girls could not be done at the same. I specifically asked and made sure that would be possible when making my appointment. The customer service was nothing special and they didn't care that the previous appointment ran late and that I wanted my girls together. The party behind me was so cute and and so loud we couldn't hear the nail artist in front of us. There are 3 employees not qualified to paint nails and standing around at the register one being the manager and all 3 could care less that I'm upset or that they were late or the fact that my girls can't be done together. My advice is to hire another nail tec and have less people standing around not able to help. read more

I took my niece in with a Groupon I'd purchased to use during her visit to Dallas. The stylist was very friendly and engaging, and really interacted well with my niece. The shop is super cute - pinks, purples, My Little Pony swag...every girl's dream. What I wish I'd realized (so take this as a tip for yourself) is that this is really an experience best suited for the 9 and under crowd. My niece is 11 and still loves little girl stuff, but she was equally (maybe more so) thrilled with the proper mani/pedi and detailed nail art that my personal salon did for a fraction of the price. The manager there left me speechless Lets just say the weather wasn't that great on Saturday and I had to drag two kiddos to get their annual haircut. After we checked in, they told me that FC wasn't on their schedule I called a couple days ago to confirm and we been going to the same location with the same stylist for the pass 3.5 yrs. I even have an appointment reminder card with me that has Jan 14, 2017 at 2pm for haircut and nail polish for both of the girls. Store manager didn't do anything about the situation except giving me an attitude that she will have to skip her lunch and cut both of the girls hair within 30 minutes because she has an appointment coming in at 2:45pm . As a hairdresser myself I know there is no way you can shampoo, cut and style both of the girls hair and do a fanatic job. I left a message on Facebook message about the our experience and no manager or owner contacted me back about the experience. I have asked the manager for the owners contact so that I can let them know about what happened. This is a cute little "salon" for the little princesses in your life. I took my twin nieces and my daughter for their 4th birthday. All three of the girls got mani/pedi combos with makeup application, a big hit! The two ladies were very friendly and engaging with the girls. The only complaint I have is, when I scheduled the appointment I wanted all of the girls to be serviced at the same time, but that didn't happen due to staffing issues. I am very regretful to have my daughter's birthday at this place. They never gave us the package that was purchased for my daughter 6th birthday. They messed up on our VIP set up and they never arranged for goodies bags and kids were very upset going home with no goodies bags. The place is a rip off. They charged me $75 for the Limo ride while they have free ride with packages purchased. When i brought it up to them they completely ignored me and said that they could not refund me.
