Being honest, I thought Waller Park was part of Vickery Creek until I saw that it's its own park…read more As other reviewers have said, it's definitely a hidden gem, because it's a very small park, but it serves its purpose well. The name of the Waller Park Extension game are fields. Several different fields litter the area and I counted at least 4, crammed into this tiny foot print. Parking is surprisingly very spacious and in fact, there's a lower parking lot that's just behind the City of roswell office that you pass to get to another area of the park. Down below is more parking, as well as yet another soccer field. Front and center at the main portion of the park is a nice children's play area, that was being taken full advantage of by kids, and strategically placed near the play area, were benches for parents to sit and watch or just for anyone to sit and soak up the day. Park up keep is very clean and well put together. I didn't see one stray piece of trash, which is pretty cool! There is an aquatic center to the left of the park (if you're facing the children's play area), but i'm not sure if it is affiliated with the park itself. There are no hiking trails here, but my guess is you're not coming here for that, and that's cool. If you have kids, play sports or just live close, this tiny little park is your little secret. If you're looking for a hike, or a monstrous mega park, you wont find that here. Nice, clean, small park with lots of parking that gets the job done. Definitely a fan!

My friend was telling me how awesome it is....and she was right! There are lots of sports fields here and I know Roswell recreation department offers sports classes for kids. There are 2 play structures. One hue one for older kids including a rock wall, huge slides, and other various things. Then a smaller one with the same kind of things on a smaller level. They have several swings including a tire swing and handicapped swing too. There is a pavilion are with lots of shade, and there is good shade coverage from the trees as well. There is also a huge skate park in the back!! Also community tennis courts! This seems like a great park and we will definitely be utilizing it!

Highlights of this park are public restrooms, dogs are allowed and picnic tables available. I go here for our sand volleyball tounaments or open plays. The amenities are excellent, including a covered picnic area and two well-maintained sand beach volleyball courts, often used by friendly and active groups from Meetup. Roswell has done a great job with park development. I would highly recommend to visit. The surrounding area is very walkable, with scenic paths along the river that make it a worthwhile stop for anyone visiting and looking for a relaxing stroll. Whether you're here to play, picnic, or just enjoy the peaceful setting, this park delivers. Wonderful place to kayak or tubing. Plenty of parking and I can go in either direction for a long run. Some days parking is challenging to try to car pool or use uber. I love to stretch afterwards by the water and watch the row teams go by. Although the park closes after sunset but I planning to come here for Stargazing.

We took our dog and had a wonderful time! The paths are really wide and paved, well marked and there's a stunning "natural" playground and lots of green space. So much to see and we appreciated the emergency posts scattered throughout the paths, which made us feel more confident in being alone in such a big city.

It's a lovely town square with very pretty and lush grass, a number of picnic tables and a pretty bandstand. The marker reads, "The Square was part of town founder Roswell King's original town plan and is the center of the Roswell Historic District. The District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. President Theodore Roosevelt visited Roswell, his mother's girlhood home, in 1905 and addressed the citizens of Roswell from a bandstand on the Square." Street parking the far side is next to an outlet so it was great to be able to plug in the battery and do some charging while I explored. While there are no public restrooms or other facilities here, it's a pretty park and a nice stop. There are a number of spots nearby to shop and eat. Lovely. It was built by Roswell King-one of the founding members of the city. When Theodore Roosevelt came through in 1906 to visit his mother Martha "Mittie" Bulloch Roosevelt's childhood home town-a bandstand was erected in honor of his visit....here I thought that structure was gazebo...nope...it's a bandstand. (Mittie Bulloch Roosevelt's father, James was one of the 6 founding members of Roswell. In fact Mittie married Roosevelt Sr. at Bulloch hall not far from here and is rumored to be Margaret Mitchell's inspiration for Scarlett O'Hara's Gone With The Wind character.) The park itself has a large water fountain with plenty of comfortable benches to sit and enjoy the scenery. The grass is well maintained for an outdoor picnic and or a game of frisbee. There is even a Little Free Library if you fancy a little light reading. Plus there are plenty of free street parking all around you. It's a great place to unplug and just enjoy being with friends and family....check it out.
