The smoothies are some of the freshest and most authentic I've ever tasted. Everything tastes natural, wholesome, and made with high-quality organic ingredients. My favorites are the guava and strawberry smoothies, which are bursting with fresh fruit flavor and perfectly refreshing without tasting overly sweet or artificial. The biggest compliment I can give is that during my one-week vacation in Hawaii, I've already come back three times! That's how good this place is. Located on South Beretania next to Dew Drop Inn. There's a small parking lot with several stalls, though I would suggest coming here with someone, so that they can circle around while you run inside and order. Lots of fresh fruit when you first walk in, with a digital menu to look at, along with suggestions of people's favorite combinations. Also a section of crack seed goodies as well. There was 1 person working, so it took a little bit of time for her to work through the orders, to then take new orders. Patience is key. And there's not a lot of space to wait, when it gets busy, which may be why there's a bench directly outside. Got the strawberry guava smoothie, though it seems as if they threw the entire guava plus the seeds inside, as it was the crunchiest smoothie I've ever had. I would've much preferred that they omitted the seeds or strained them out prior to blending. Also would've liked a more thicker smoothie, as it liquified and separated rather quickly on the drive home. The honey kumquat lemon tea on the other hand was delicious. This place is great. Parking can be tough because the lot is small but if it's not too busy it's fine. Depending on who is working is the experience you will get. Our lady didn't speak a lot of English and it felt like when we said "less peanut butter" or "less ginger" she would give us more? The smoothies weren't great but we've had better experiences here. Came upon the shop after researching what to do that is walkable after visiting the Honolulu Museum of Art. This place did not disappoint at all! The prices were reasonable for the size of the drinks (I believe the standard 24 oz was $7) There was one lady working the register and making the drinks, but I only had one other person before me so it did not take too long considering. I got a coconut lychee smoothie with lychee jellies and she was very generous with the amount of jellies. It was a delicious combo and refreshing from the heat, I just wish it didn't seem to melt so fast. The inside was also fresh and it was nice seeing all of that fresh produce. We were walking by this place on our way to the museum and needed a refreshment, so we stopped by Fancy Fresh. The inside of the shop feels very nostalgic to traditional Asian shops where it's filled to the brim with fruits and snacks. It's very no-frills. I thought the price was fair - $10 for a 32oz smoothie. By default, it comes in a mason glass jar, which is actually good value and I guess helps reduce waste? It is a $2 upcharge for the lid w/ straw upgrade. If you bring back your container, it's $3 off, so if you're in the area often, this is a great deal. Someone else in the reviews complained about them not cleaning the container for you, but I feel like that's an unfair expectation. We don't even live here and we walked around with the empty cup for a couple hours after finishing the smoothie and were still able to rinse it clean once we got back to our hotel room. It doesn't feel like this offer is supposed to be applicable to tourists, but rather locals. When you take your mug to Starbucks, would you expect them to clean it for you? The smoothie itself tasted very healthy, but still tasty. We don't like it when smoothies have a ton of sugar added and like when they have a lot of greens packed in. We also bought a container of mangos, which was also $10. It was on the pricier side, but I recognize it's the upcharge for it being already cut and ready to eat. I found out about Fancy Fresh through social media and would also pass by it a lot when on S Beratania street. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy with a line outside the door! I ordered the strawberry guava smoothie with boba and my boyfriend got a mango pineapple smoothie with lychee jelly. The smoothie was ok, it was kinda watery and it separated really fast. The boba was good though being sweet with a soft chewy texture. But I got a blue cap and a pink cap. Refills if you get the jars are only seven bucks highly recommend because we've already been there like three times. They sell fresh fruit and fresh cut fruit but it is kind of expensive, especially considering it's right down the street from a Safeway and a Times. But I guess it's more marked up for convenience. They also sell flash frozen packaged fruit pieces - very generous bags I if you like that sort of thing. Parking is really tight and it's really hard because it's on a main road. There is a shared parking lot right around the corner from the building, but there's only like four spaces. So we always get someone to jump out with the jars and drive around the block. It takes them for a while because it's made to order and they're usually pretty busy. There's never a moment where it's just me in the shop. There's always somebody else waiting. When a hole in the wall establishment has a constant line to the door at 10:30am on a Thursday, you know it's banging. Fancy fresh food shop is known for their fresh produce, various snacks, and most importantly- their smoothies. They share the same building on beretania st as Dew Drop Inn, right before Chick-fil-A. There's a handful of stalls behind the shop and metered parking. The two aunties running the shop are very speedy taking orders and making the drinks. I only waited a total of about 15 minutes considering there were about 12 smoothies ordered ahead of me. I saw one lady order 6 power green smoothies and I knew I had to try it. It's a mix of kale, mango, papaya, ginger, lemon, honey. Aunty asked if I like strong ginger and I nodded my head eagerly. But whew she meant business when they add raw ginger in. It was the dominant flavor, nicely contrasting with the sweetness of the fruit, and adding a little singe on the back of my throat. Next time I'll say regular ginger because it was a tad too "spicy" if you know what I mean. I'd still get the smoothie again or try the lilikoi mango or lychee dragonfruit! Fancy fresh is a tiny store that sells cut fruit, pickled mango, fresh fruit, dried fruit and seed and smoothies and other drinks. They're known for their affordable smoothies and friendly customer service. Parking is kind of limited. So I try come when street parking on beretania is open. Also, it shares a small lot with dew drop, so you're competing with dew drop customers for parking too. Once inside, there will probably be a line. It's slow because it's kind of a one woman show. But she keeps her line of customers happpy by passing out samples of everything she makes. I like all the drinks I've had, particularly the dragon fruit with strawberry and the papaya mango. I've also tried the mint ginger and the peanut butter banana. Everything is fresh and delicious. She sells her large smoothies for $7 per cup which is unheard of, but you can get a jar for $10 and refills for $7, which is an even better deal. I called and the owner was kind enough to send me picture messages of what they offered. We went down at our earliest opportunity. They are located on Beretania St next to Dew Drop Inn. Parking can be a challenge depending on the time you go. We were lucky to find a stall nearby when we visited right when they opened on a Sunday. There were already 8-9 people in front of us! Speaks volumes on their establishment. The interior is cozy and they offer canned drinks, bottled drinks, smoothies, fruit drinks, teas, boba, li hing items and fresh fruit. I believe it's owner operated and she's the only person working. The line did move a little slowly as she was the only one making the drinks but everyone was patient. They offered two types of pickled mango so we got one of each. I also ordered a watermelon and lychee smoothie. After we paid and left, there was still a line of people behind us. However, the customer service and sanitation were disappointing on our second visit. Since we had a beach day, our jars weren't freshly cleaned when we returned. When we asked if they could rinse them before refilling -- which is kind of the whole point of a refillable program -- the cashier rolled her eyes at us. She only rinsed the jars with water and didn't use a straw cleaner at all, so the straws still had old fruit residue and sand inside. If a shop offers refillable containers, they should be prepared to clean them properly and without rude facial expressions or attitude. I also noticed a few things that made me question their sanitation standards overall -- a jar of mango boba with an expiration date several months out, and ants on the counter.
