The worst service I've experienced! Never going here again. Took some friends from out of town here to show them this local spot. Food never came out to them, was told that it wasn't their problem they couldn't see our table number. Which was clearly visible. Was treated so poorly from the manager? Not sure if she was the owner or manager. But she was extremely hostile and very aggressive. Asked for a refund and she shorted my friends refund! And took the food back that finally came to the table an hour and a half later. Asked for the full refund and she smirked and said she had to go grab more money. Very disappointed. Good option for pizza in WW. It was nice that they offered gluten free. We aren't celiac, we just don't eat a lot of gluten, so I can't vouch for how careful they are with their product. We had 2 GF individual pizzas (at least for us--haha). Sat outside, had a beer. Nice atmosphere out front--great people watching. The pizza was delicious, especially the crust, which was thin and crispy, just the way I like it. Nothing worse than limp pizza except...never mind. By the time we were done with wineries the next night, a lot of places were closed. This place appeared to be open--there were still people everywhere, the doors were open and there was not a closed sign. The kid at the cash register seemed to want to serve us (there were slices sitting RIGHT there), but the woman who must have been the manager said no and wasn't very polite about it. We stopped by this spot after walking around the small down town area where this is located and were looking for somewhere to sit outside. The pizza options were normal, cheese, pepperoni, hawaiian, etc., and were available in slice form. The prices were a bit high for the slice size but it was quick. I would not say the pizza was mind blowing, it was the thin dough type, which I prefer but it was okay and nothing of major note. Also, their special "7-9 PM" slices are only Wed instead of most nights, despite the fact that their menu doesn't mention it's only Wed nights. My friend and I and my dog ate here last night and they were SOO good to my dog and the food was so good I had to leave a review. We got in late and they just so happen to be open later because of the sip and stroll. We were looking for something with a patio for my dog, and they were fantastic!! Luckily my friend and I could switch off going in and ordering, but they brought my dog out a huge dog bowl full of water and were so sweet to him! I was kind of surprised it was a very casual and family-friendly spot because for some reason I was expecting something a little more fancy. It was kind of loud, but... not too bad. This wasn't what we expected but that's not their fault. This is an order-by-the-slice place, which is perfect if you're with a group or hoping to get in and out quickly. We came with my sister-in-law and two nephews and were able to each get what we wanted rather than settling on something for the sake of compromise. The only downfall of this is that the pizzas are pre-made and you can't customize. As someone with a mushroom allergy, that was a bummer because the pesto pizza looked good but wasn't an option. Overall, the food was good. Service was a bit messy as it appeared everyone was trying to do everything rather than having people dedicated to specific tasks. While visiting Walla Walla recently on an overnight business and wine tasting adventure, we decided to try this place for pizza, due to the awesome reviews it received on Yelp. We knew in advance to expect a bit of a wait, because of the college (Whitman) crowd frequenting this popular hang-out. When we arrive at around 7:30pm, the place was bustling with college students, and we feared a long wait, but we ended up with a nice bar height table near the front window, perfect for people watching! We got our order in for a typical Italian this crust pizza, and ordered a carafe of wine to enjoy while we waited. The wine was from CAVU Cellars, which happened to be one of the places we did wine tasting earlier. Excellent! Then our pizza was served, and we had just the right condiments at the table: Crushed Red Pepper, Oregano, Grated Parmesan Cheese. The pizza looked massive, and at 1st we feared we would never finish it between the 2 of us. But it was so good, and we were so hungry, we managed to savor ever last morsel of it, until we cleaned the pizza pan! I am from Boston, MA area originally, so I grew up on East Coast, 1st generation Italian, family secret recipe type pizza pies. I have to take my hat off to Sweet Basil. Here in Walla Walla, where we found dining out more expensive than it typically is in Seattle, this place is a true gem! Spot on flavors on the pizza, thin crusts, good fresh salads, great NW microbrew beer on tap, and some of the best wine I've ever seen in a pizza place (think L'Ecole, and a great one at that!) All this and great, great prices --a real value for the quality of the food. While the atmosphere is what you'd expect, think noisy pizza shop with large screen t.v. (not a fan...) they are striving to make it family-friendly with a petite kids-zone in the back. The pizza is very good and at about $3 a slice, you can chose 2-3 different slices and taste around without feeling too guilty. Its a relaxing, family-friendly, casual yet foodie wine country experience that is a fantastic value for the dollar, in a town that needs a few more places like this! read more

I was somewhat racing to get here before it closed.. immediately I walked in and was greeted. Already the smells of deliciousness had me asking myself "how many slices?" For once, I thought about the end result and decide that 2 slices would do it. This place did not disappoint! A slice of the pesto and a slice of margarita and it was a winning decision. The flavors were on point-the pesto just perfect and the margarita is simple yet flavorful. Pizza Margherita is a classic pizza simply prepared with mozzarella, tomato sauce, olive oil and fresh basil. It is delicious simplicity. Usually....but not here. Ironically, Sweet Basil's had NO basil. It was cooked on the outside but soggy crust in the middle and topped with Horrible, cooked mushy tomatoes under a puny layer of plastic mozzarella and sprinkled with DRIED herbs. Yuck. With a name like Sweet Basil you would think you could spring for the legit rendition of a classic pizza. Quality counts. I give three stars because the cashier was nice. read more
