We've visited this place twice now. Dinner reservations are definitely a better idea than dropping by at the middle of lunch hour. You can end up waiting for an hour! But reservationists did the trick! While I was pretty bummed to hear they were currently out of toasted ravioli (apparently they've been out for quite a few days now), we were pretty pleased with our food. My father in law order the garlic bread (4 slices per order). That was pretty good. Our kids' meals came out quickly which is always much appreciated. They loved their pizzas! Our food came out shortly after. My inlaws were happy with their pasta dishes. My pizza was great - I did a size small and topped it with pepperoni, sausage and meatballs. Yum! And my husband's tortellini was fantastic! It had a cream sauce with mushrooms and pancetta - so good!! This place does have a small outdoor patio but apparently the chairs aren't quite comfortable enough for inlaws. And it can get some pretty direct sun during the lunch hours, so that worth considering. I'm sure we will return again next summer for more good food! read more

I've got to get this out of the way - 4 stars because there is no salt in the Italian vinaigrette and the cannoli does not look like the menu photo online. The angel hair pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was packed with meat and big tomato flavor. The mushrooms still had some bite and were definitely salted before being added to my dish, which I adore. The chicken Marco was delicious, with tons of tender artichoke pieces and juicy chicken over nicely cooked bow tie pasta. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here. We hadn't heard anything about it, but reviews sounded good. We got seated right away on their little outdoor patio and our server came over quickly with a carafe of ice water. We started out with lightly breaded calamari and a tomato based dipping sauce. Yum! The customer at the table next to ours raved about the eggplant parmesan, so I ordered that. It was double layered breaded eggplant with ricotta cheese and mushrooms in between the layers. It was covered with a tomato pasta sauce and mozzarella cheese. It was very flavorful. I ordered a side of mixed veggies in place of the side of pasta. It had onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, and zucchini in the best tasting sauce I've ever had on veggies! Usually I'm sad I can't have the carb loaded pasta, but I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything with these veggies! My husband ordered the chicken sorrento, which had pieces of chicken, mushrooms, and eggplant mixed in a delicious sauce and angel hair pasta. We each got a roll and butter with our meal. During a recent vacation in Estes Park, CO we stopped in at Sweet Basilico for dinner with friends. We were super glad we arrived early as the available space quickly filled up and there was standing room only when we left. Our party of five were seated on the patio outside with a nice view of the nearby river. From appetizers to main course our food exceeded our expectations! My wife loved her Ravioli Mushroom Marsala so much we returned a few days later for a repeat. I enjoyed the Lasagna Bianco on our first visit and Tortellini Alla Panna the second time. We ate dinner at two other restaurants during our stay, but this is probably one of the best restaurants in Estes Park. We highly recommend stopping in if you are in the area and consider making reservations as they seem to be busy every night! read more

Situated in an old Pizza Hut building, reminiscent of my childhood days. Interior and exterior didn't look like it had changed from what it used to be. Outside parking was plentiful, to include a few tesla charger installed by owner. Cleanliness is the same as Pizza Hut back in the day, not that clean, although not too dirty. Staff was friendly, but a bit slow on service; did not get drinks and utensils until after we got our food. Food was decent; enjoyed the Spaghetti Cabonara and pizza. My husband and I went here last evening and it was VERY disappointing !The lights are super bright so it felt like a diner more than a restaurant. There is no bar so people just huddle in the entry waiting for a table. I ordered eggplant parm and it was barely edible. It was very greasy and had raw mushrooms in it. The cheese wasn't melted and it was cold. My husband ordered chicken marsala and it looked like canned dog food and had no taste. The ceaser salad was very salty and was way overdressed. Our waitress was pleasant but very busy so we didnt bother complaining. If you come to Estes Park there are many wonderful restaurants but this isn't one of them. I suggest avoiding it entirely. Not what I'm used to from our favorite few places in Texas, but very tasty and everything seemed homemade, except for the bread and it was pretty good as well. I ordered tortellini siciliano and usually would be in a pink sauce. This was very nice, but in a light thin white sauce (alla panna) which could be my ignorance but nevertheless it was really good and the pasta seemed fresh and homemade. My wife really like her Chicken Pomodora. So we'll be back for another run 2nd trip, it's been several months and here with a group of 10. The service was excellent the food incredible tonight. Canned mushrooms are unforgivable to me, and the ravioli was worse than the frozen I get at my local IGA. House salad was fine. Diet Pepsi was nicely carbonated yay! Service and ambiance are fine. I skipped pizza to order their customer favorite Chicken Parm. The chicken was pounded too thin, the breading was too thick, and it was served on a bed of overcooked bow tie pasta. we were in Estes to celebrate our anniversary and have eaten here before several times. We were going to another place but at the last minute changed because of a recommendation and ordered takeout from this place because they had no seating available. So I ordered two hours before I wanted the meal to be available and instead they prepared it at that time and let it set. their online portal is less than stellar and when I called the restaurant they were not taking calls. So I called back. The lady says that she would have that resolved and she would have it available at 6:30 when I went to pick it up it was ready but the food and the appetizer bread was stone cold. That worked out well for the desert, though. Oh wait, that moose was wilted as well. We've eaten at this place before, but this experience was definitely a downer! read more

This was my second time here; returning because of the food the first time. It took about 20mins for a patio seat with no reservation (during Covid seating restrictions). It just lightly rained so they wiped the table prior to seating us. It took a little bit to be greeted at the table but the waitress was polite and cheery for the dinner. We ordered a kids Fettuccine, kids spaghetti, tortellini alla pana, and tortellini with meat sauce and meatballs. The meals also come with fresh baked fluffy, yet dense, bread and butter. The kids loved their items...one kid eating until her stomach hurt because it was that great. I too was a big fan of the alla pana and craved it enough to potentially go back the next night. The remaining dish with meat sauce was good. At the end of dinner, the nice owner (chef) came around to check on everything. We learned his daughter, our waitress, and wife also worked there. We stopped in here for an early dinner after hiking at Bear Lake. We were excited to try what Estes Park had for Italian food. I am from the NY area and grew up with great Italian. The interior was fairly dim but clean and looked nice. We got our seats and water came out. I ordered the chicken parm and my girlfriend got some linguini Alfredo with vegetables. Each entree came with soup or salad and bread. We also shared a fried raviolis appetizer. The raviolis were pretty plain and just average. There was not much filling inside. The sauce was great and the highlight. My chicken parm was tasty, and the sauce and cheese were proportioned well on the dish. The breading was tasty and crispy. Only issue I had was there was not much pasta. I like a full plate of pasta and I got less than half a plate. My girlfriends dish was cheesy and came out fine. I liked the taste of the Alfredo. Takeaway message: go for the sauce. The pizza looks great for next time. Prices high for the average quality food. read more

Was expecting more from an Italian restaurant. Ordered Calamari, Canadian Bacon Sandwich, Cheese Pizza, Seafood Alfredo, and Spaghetti Carbonara as our main dishes. All the main dishes were good, but I would have to say our local Pasta House and Olive Garden are a lot better and cheaper. It cost us $110. We ordered cannolis to go and when we got back to our hotel I decided to try the filling, which had a brownish color to it. The filling was disgusting and sour, it was super chunky and not smooth. What a GEM. We stumbled across this place and left (with our 5 yo twins) extremely full and happy. The chef-owner was unbelievably kind and welcoming.
