Food wasn't great. The sourdough tasted like white wonder bread. My sandwich was like $16 (look at the pictures to see how it looked). I could make that at home. It wasn't toasted, it was cold. The Ukrainian soup was not good at all. It was chunks of pork and soggy croutons. Chicken noodle was decent but still had the same broth flavor of the Ukrainian soup. But what it lacks in atmosphere is more than made up for in food! These sandwiches are fantastic; I had the London roast beef on sourdough (perfect balance of ingredients, right down to the tomatoes) and my spouse had the Classic Italian. The owner was kind enough to offer a special herbed bread baked that morning as a suggestion...and it was spot on! Perfect stop for lunch on the way to The Stanley Hotel. I was really looking forward to this deli, my boyfriend and I got sandwiches for our hike and were super disappointed. The restaurant itself was not very clean/put together. My boyfriend ordered the chicken bacon ranch, which had turkey instead of chicken, and no ranch on it. There was also a giant piece of paper in the middle of his sandwich that he kept biting into to find more paper. I got the BLT on sourdough and whatever bread they gave me was not sourdough. It was sweet and crumbly and after asking for it toasted it was not. The bacon was also not fresh and had the texture and look of that microwave bacon subway has. It looks like a hole in the wall from the parking lot, but it's very clean and simple inside. We opted to share the chicken bacon ranch (it was a special) - the French bread was a giant roll and it was super large, perfect for both of us to share. The sandwich was loaded with the filling and super delicious (that ranch was everything). I thought prices were a little expensive until I saw how big the sandwich was, prices are extremely fair, especially if you get the special. I love finding little mom and pop hole in the wall shops so I was really excited to find this. It is located in a small strip of shops. The inside was not the cleanest. It looked like they typically have a salad bar but it was empty. We ordered our sandwiches and I got one from the special's board. When I ordered it the cashier looked confused by my order. I went back over to the board and pointed to the one I wanted. We got our sandwiches pretty quickly. My sandwich had two slices of lunch meat on it and was missing ingredients- the sauce and cheese. I went back up to the front to get the cheese that was missing and didn't even ask to get the sauce. The sandwich was nothing to write home about.
