We've finished all the leftovers and are craving more. It was seriously spectacular! We showed up with all the standard wedding catering challenges. Large party, dietary restrictions, tight budgets, big ambitions and a desire for everything to be *perfect.* Merilee walked us through the entire process with calm professionalism, talking us through options, listening to our ideas and sharing her extensive expertise. We narrowed it down to two equally delicious sounding menus and made the final call after an AWESOME tasting. Every single thing we tried was scrumptious! We left that night genuinely excited to share this feast with our guests and full of confidence that the final event would be a success. But the wedding exceeded even those stellar expectations. The food, presentation, service and staff were all simply flawless. It's no surprise that Merilee was recommended by our wedding venue, our welcome party venue and every local wedding planner we interviewed. Mojave Monaco is both beloved and respected by everyone who has had the pleasure of working with them. They are consummate professionals who treat everyone involved with real consideration, who take tremendous pride in their work and are committed to delivering excellence in absolutely every respect. Plus they are just straight up lovely folks. If you get the chance, hire them immediately. We would again in a heartbeat. Thank you guys!

Oh, wow! We hoped having Cahoots Grub cater for our group of eight friends would be a special…read moresurprise for them, but we weren't prepared to be totally blown away by the entire experience ourselves. We first learned about David & Meg's catering business through a social media post, and the asado-style bbq looked so cool, but we weren't sure how the food would taste. They are new to the area, so there weren't tons of reviews, but the ones posted were great, so we gave them a call. From the get-go, they were quick to respond and we soon had a date and some preliminary menu ideas. After a few tweaks (we are picky eaters), they created a multi-course menu with wedge salad, branzino cooked on a cedar plank, whole-roasted chickens with chimichurri, grilled zucchini with tzatziki sauce, potatoes grilled in duck fat, really cool-looking corn ribs with a dipping sauce, flatbread that was rolled out and cooked over the fire, and apple cobbler ramekins with homemade ice cream. We are a pretty loud group, but every time a new course was put on the table, it was complete silence for a few minutes while we all were in heaven experiencing the flavor. Our friends must've thanked us 100 times and taken as many photos of the food and the cooking process and the masters at work, David and Meg. This will go down as one of the most memorable meals of our lifetime, absolutely! We were so impressed that we are already trying to book a date for January.

They were incredibly easy to work with from start to finish: excellent communication while we researched costs and menu options, flexible with food sensitivities and budget needs, on time the evening of the event, careful about protecting the site during the cooking process, and extremely clean when the evening was over. The food was absolutely amazing, but what also made the experience memorable was their presence and setup itself. Their cooking station felt almost sculptural, and watching them prepare the meal was performative in the best way - engaging, thoughtful, and part of the experience. The retreat was so much more special because of that evening. Highly recommend.

We came here this past Sunday for dinner. The restaurant is nicely decorated. It's modern and…read moreelevated. There is limited parking in front of the restaurant but there's a lot in the back. After we sat down, we were handed record sleeves and inside were the menus. This was a new and different experience for me. I was going to order the Lasagna but was told they were out of it for the night. They were also out of the Pan Seared Salmon and evidently, the Mojave Veggie Burger (overheard the staff member telling the table next to us this). I ended up going with the Mojave Gold Grass-Fed Burger, and my bf ordered the Steak Frites. The food was good. I really enjoyed my burger. The sauce was delicious, and the fries were seasoned very well. I usually like to eat my fries with sauce but these fries could be eaten on their own. As for the overall experience, it was okay. We ordered a total of three dishes - two entrees and one dessert. Our dinner lasted for almost two hours, most of which were spent waiting. It took a while for the staff member to come take our orders, and after we placed our orders, it took some time for the food to come out. The Steak Frites came out wrong; my bf asked to substitute the fries with broccolini but they still gave him fries. They did take it back to the kitchen but it took a while for the dish to come back out afterward. We asked for hot water but that never came out. We also had to ask for ketchup a couple times. When we were given the bill at the end of the night, there was an extra dish that we did not order on it. Of note, the restaurant was mild to moderately busy but definitely not crowded this night. All in all, food and ambiance were good. Staff was nice and friendly, but service could use some improvement.
