Everyone does beautiful nails here and they truly last-I have never received gel manicures that last 3+weeks. The place is also very clean and each and every COVID protocol is taking place here. That being said, I can no longer keep coming here because of the poor attitudes of the staff and the owner herself. Any attempt at small talk isn't reciprocated and it feels just awkward. Most recently, I arrived for my scheduled appointment to find that either I or the person I made the appointment with made a mistake in the time. I sat there like a fool after I was notified that I was an hour early and simply told to "either wait or call back and reschedule"-no apology, NOTHING. I turned around and walked out. I was introduced to sweet dreams nail Salon through a friend of mine. The first time I waked in, I was impressed with the people who worked there and how clean it was. My nails came out beautiful !! As a happy customer, I bought many others to this Salon and they were very impressed! Well to good to believe, Emily turned out to be a very nasty person and spoke to her customers with a bad attitude, Not professional! When nails break, she doesn't take responsibility for fixing them or trying to get you in for a fix right away! The ice broke when Emily lied, when trying to book appointment with Carol, she said she didn't work there anymore! We were sorry to hear that, thinking it was the truth. Well a friend went into the salon on her appointment date and time and saw Carol there next day. Mmmm. When Emily was asked who's the owner" she walked away after saying, she doesn't have to say!! So sad!! Now the person getting her nails done on this day, asked Emily why names were put on paper for all to see, she couldn't answer her and called the cops, with trying to act upset and crying!! If you can't treat people in your professional business paying you good money and having a good personality, torwards your customers, maybe you should leave or shut down!! Just an average appearing nail salon in a newer shopping center Decent color selection Getting a gel mani for the first time :) and a regular pedicure Unfortunately, the massage chair at the pedicure station I was sitting at was broken. I know many people may not l;ike the massage chairs but I actually enjoy it so that was disappointment #1. #2 There was little to virtually no time with the massage portion of the pedicure. Given I didn't ask for the more expensive spa package but a little loving to my feet/legs would have been nice! #3 Gel Mani time. I'm not sure what this gentlemen was thinking when he shaped my nails but my goodness it was weird. I requested square shaped as opposed to rounded/oval. He somehow managed to invert the outer edge of my nails. Very odd. Once I got home I reshaped my nails myself. As for the gel manicure, I'm not sure if it is just this venue but I'm not sure it's worth the extra money. I may try to another time, elsewhere. Given the vast number of salons on Long Island I do not think I would visit this venue again. read more

By far my favorite salon! Emily (owner) started doing my nails when I first found this place from my mom and they always came out amazing! Emily does get booked easily so I didn't mind trying out someone new! Started having Jeffrey do my nails & continued to love the result! This is your typical nail salon, nothing more, nothing less. It's right by my job so it's the perfect place to go on lunch if i need a pedicure or when my eyebrows need to be tamed. I've been here more than a handful of times and think it's clean, the staff is always nice, and there's never much of a wait around the time I go. They do a really great job on eyebrows, I never feel like they're rushing through. The pedicures are pretty good too, can't complain. Minimum charge on a card is $20; you can add your tip onto that but they charge you $1 to do so. I suggest bringing cash. read more

I walked in to get my nails done and instead of soaking my nails, the owner Emily was filing them down to the point where she was burning my nails, I had to ask for them to be soaked, my fingers soaked in alcohol for 20 minutes and then got up to leave to take care of another customer. I would do 0 stars if possible. There were multiple times I received bad attitude from the owner EMILY of this place but I do enjoy my nails getting done by her employees. Always just looked over it but after this never giving my money there. I Made an appt for 11am was not seen until 11:45am. The owner EMILY started doing my nails, was on the phone the entire time. Getting up to take calls on her personal cell as well as the business which I only understand the business calls. I told her I wanted a pink French, she stated the pink I choose was too light. I think the guy who was doing my acrylic nails is new. He was messing up the shape of my nails. I am not pleased with the shape (wide tip) and had to file my own nail into the shape I desired which was a skinny square. The lady next to him which I believe her name is JC was helping him as well and understood what I wanted. Every time she filed my nails I was pleased until he touched them. When he was finished and I was ready to pay I asked JC for her card to make future appointments with her AND only her. I am willing to give this place a second shot if not I will continue to look else where. I do love the variety of gel polish that they have, so many beautiful colors. Absolutely love this place, this salon is sooo clean and looks really nice from the inside! They do amazing work and designs. I get powder gel and it last 3-4 weeks for me. It's really worth getting the powder instead of regular nail polish. They have sooooo many colors. In regular gel they have colors that match your toes and for powder they have a lot of colors as well. You should definitely call and make an apt, they do get really busy but honestly it's worth the wait. I also love how they remember your name. It becomes more of a personal place when they see you and greet you by name. I've never been to another salon where they take the time to get to know you or even remember your name. read more

You are not that GREAT...Ive made two attempts And tried to patronize Sweet Dreams because I was pleased with the initial experience. However, I'm not desperate to spend my money anywhere that optimal and ethical practice isn't paramount or consistent. I don't care how good someone is if they can't speak and conduct themselves in a respectful manner. Emily does a great job as a nail technician, but not as both manager she behaves rude in nature. Doesn't smile, Looks away from you while speaking and has no ethical approach to all her customers. Anyone coming into an establishment is a potential long standing customer. On Saturday I went to the salon for my first time to get my nails done. It looked very nice inside and clean. While getting my SNS service done I told them that it was too thin and they said it would be fine. I've been getting SNS for five years now so I know how thick/thin it should be. Today I already have 3 corners chipped on my nails breaking my real nails as well. When contacting the salon I was told they only fix it for free if you go back within 3 days. SNS lasts longer than 3 days which is why you pay more for it. She stated that if I wanted them fixed I would have to pay out of pocket. She also told me thank you for being understanding that this is a business, a business that you wouldn't have if it wasn't for the customers!!!This is disgraceful! Never will I return! Except to give them a piece of my mind! read more

I asked 5 or 10 and the owner shook her head and said are you in a hurry? I said I would just like an honest answer as to how long. She was so rude!! She said I can just leave then. The place is clean, serene and very well maintained. I honestly thought it would be my new nail place since it's closer to home than my usual place. I had SNS nails (powder) done, I've had them done for over a year consecutively. They only did two coats of the powder which made them very thin once they were buffed. They broke very easily and didn't last long, less than a week! I went to another nail salon to have them re-done and even that nail salon noticed how thin and cheaply done they were. Honestly if this nail salon didn't cut corners, or try to cut cost with SNS I would go back because it's so clean and well maintained. read more

It was our first day out since having a baby a few weeks ago and unfortunately we were 20 minutes late to our appointment and the owner told me we could no longer be seen. I completely understand this policy, as it is a business and there are policies in place, especially with Covid. It came out really great when I initially had it done. By Friday night, there were little chips on top. Then, by Sunday, it was literally cracking down the middle then falling off completely. Only 3 of them stayed on by Monday and those all had cracks in them. Showed up at 12 on Monday, they were not busy, and had explained what happened. They were EXTREMELY rude! And I was very nice about it, when I didn't have to be. I told them I wanted it all off then a regular manicure on top because my nails were too brittle for anything else. They then wanted to charge me for the manicure! I couldn't believe it. So I just wasted $35 and you were extremely rude to me, and you messed up my nails, and I should pay another $9 for this? I don't think so. I told them I wasn't going to pay and if this was an issue I would just leave (prior to the polish). She said it was fine, completely rushed through my manicure, and gave the worst and sloppiest manicure I've ever received. Polish was all over my fingers, and it was not clean. I'm completely disgusted with this whole experience. I know this manicure won't last and I'll have to go back somewhere else to get another one.
