The design itself was just okay -- the flowers don't really look like flowers -- and although the shape was decent, the durability was terrible. Within just five hours of leaving the salon, 4 out of my 10 nails had already fallen off. That's completely unacceptable, especially for a service that took about an hour and a half and cost me $90. I called to request a refund, but was told they don't offer refunds and only offered to fix them. Given how quickly the nails came off, I don't feel comfortable going back or trusting them to redo the work. I have been going here for years and there is a few things new comers must understand. The workers are nice and very hardworking and patient. I have witnessed many customers treating them rather harshly or set the expectations too high. Not all techs are great at designs. Peter, Anna and maple in my opinion are the best with design. All are great with pedicures - I have never had an issue. Jason is great with blow outs. Yes they do hair too! When you come in just walk up to anyone and say what you want to do - don't just sit there. Then choose a color, then sit down. This is a very busy establishment and no time is wasted on greeting people. Yes they say hi but be a little proactive by going up to them because they are working on another client. Have a picture of what you want. Be kind and patient. The prices are reasonable. They service everyone but their English isn't all that great. I have been going here for over 2 years. I always make an appt with Maple. I do a gel powder manicure and pedicure. I have always had a good experience, feel the price is reasonable. Only once did I have issues with my manicure- I went back and Maple re-did the manicure for me and did not charge me. I would recommend making an appointment. read more

I arrived at Blue Sky Nails & Spa for a simple manicure and pedicure before my mothers funeral and as I arrived I realized I was the first one there. At this point, I was there for 13 minute. Upon my arrival, I said good morning and received no reply. A gentleman and another woman arrived behind me and they were met with how can I help you and what would like. I was addressed only after the gentleman said I was there first.The owner I'm guessing told me to take any seat waving His hand at me still not addressing me All the whole he escorted two other women and their two children to a seat and began providing service to them. Two other women came in and they were seats for pedis as I seat there - no one walked up and said a word. Those two women were being serviced as well. My heart sank into my stomach as I watched my mistreatment by this establishment. One of the women was is shocked and looked at me sadly as I got up and walked out. The owners got irate with me when I asked to speak with someone. As an African American woman, this is was one of the few times I've felt racism - this time was so in my face and direct that I had to share what happened. All of the other patrons were Caucasian and treated immediately - if you go to this salon you're signing off on their Prejudice. The worst customer service ever. They are extremely rude. I had an appointment. He had me sitting with foil on my fingers (to remove the old gel polish) for over a half hour while he gave a full manicure to someone else. Finally I said something, he said "3 more minutes " and then proceeded to take another customer. Finally a woman came to take my foil off. I said forget the gel manicure, just take this off and I need to go. She had the nerve to charge me $5 for the gel removal. I had a wonderful time here my mother took me out for my birthday and decided to pay for a pedicure and a massage when we arrived the nice lady asked us what we like and then informed us to sit down similar to a previous review she did not say where or exactly when she would get to us my mother and I kind of figured out that we were supposed to sit in the massage chairs before almost sitting in the massage chairs for a bit she told us that she wanted us to pick out colors for our pedicure. So we picked out some colors my mother wanted a French manicure and I just picked a funky pink color that I liked after telling them, we both sat down in the massage chairs waiting to be serviced. The pedicure was actually really pleasant we decided to get the 15-minute massage with the lemon pedicure and yeah it was really nice I don't do this often so they are very nice it was actually two Spanish girls that worked on us the Asian girls were actually doing more of the manicures and handling the register there were a few people there but for the most part it was empty. The salon didn't smell overwhelmingly like nail polish and Mino manicure stuff but it was also really clean my feet feel good and I'm happy with our service we think them I feel like they did try to go above and beyond I don't think they knew a lot of English but for the most part I think it's a family-owned location right next to the dry cleaners as well as the Chinese food place so I'm happy with what they offered. I also forgot to mention that when you sit down to get the pedicure they have massage chair so even while you're waiting you could just start up the massage we paid for a 10-minute back massage but technically we didn't really need to because we had the massage chairs but everything was very clean and gloves it didn't recall overwhelming of nail polish and Etc overall it was very sanitary and everything that use came out of bags very clean location read more

If I could give negative stars I would. This salon is a disaster! They are clueless about their craft. I was visiting my daughter in Deer Park and I needed my ibd gel nails refilled. I asked if they knew how to do an American manicure, I just got blank stares.. ok maybe every nail tech doesn't know it is similar to French but is a more natural look. I should have also said when you first walk in there is this weird desk barrier (quite large) that feels like they are telling you to go away.(why didn't I listen to that inner voice and run not walk out) However I didn't. They let me just stand there before someone said what do you want done. I said just a simple gel nail fill in. Again they let me just stand there and then one of the women said sit in the chair. Did they say which chair.. nooo, as I stood there I am thinking do I just pick an empty chair? There were several, finally someone pointed to a chair and said sit there. No one spoke to me again for at least 15 minutes until I was told to go to the nail tech at the end next to the window. She looked at my nails and I asked if she was able to match the American manicure so again no words just staring at me. I said fine just do what you know. As I would learn two days later she didn't know much!! My salon in Harrisburg PA uses ibd brand gel which I like a great deal. She used brisa. Well that fill was a disaster! After 2 days my left hand thumb lifted and came off except for the big ridge by my cuticle. (BTW you could see exactly where she started the fill on every nail because it was indented) 2 days after the thumb the right hand pinkie detached from the left side all the way from top to bottom to the middle of the nail. After that every day a nail or two would crack on the side and fall off. So it was an expensive lesson learned for $50 without the tip for what should have been a pretty basic fill but wasn't. I got back to Harrisburg and went to see Christine who does my nails( I spent years until I found her) people always complement and comment on what beautiful natural nails I have.(not.. my own nails are paper thin and have been my whole life, they just bend, break and peel) She had to remove the entire set because there was no saving anything. If I had known what was going to happen I would have driven 3 1/2 hours each way just to have Christine do my nails Do yourself a favor and find a different salon. BTW while I was there two women came in to have nails fixed that they said were done the day before.. so I don't think they are talented at their craft. The place is dirty, and I don't just mean the nail dust laying all over each table... The guy literally used dirty tools on my nails and feet, not a sterilizer in sight. The staff are inattentive and rush everything they do. I got a gel manicure, and it wasn't horrible but I wish he would have put a tiny bit more effort into massaging my hands. It was like 5 seconds on each hand with very minimal pressure. I took the chance and got a green tea pedicure as I desperately wanted a foot massage. I swear, the guy was just tickling my feet with how little pressure he was using and the way he was just poking certain spots. To be honest, the massage chair did a better job on my shoulders. He proceeds to laugh at me for adjusting so much in the chair because it was one of the most uncomfortable pedicure chairs I've ever sat in. My legs were too long even with the chair all the way back and it put my rear-end to sleep. He rushed through painting them, and the color didn't even match my fingers. The place is clean and nice. The man who did my nails is Peter the only one who can do UV gel manicure. He takes a long time but did a great job. The reason I am giving it 1 star is that the girl who did my pedicure used a tool that has a razor in it to remove callous. She cut me really bad. I didn't realize it untill the next day when I felt the pain. She shaved off all my skin in the middle of my feet & my toe. I went back & told the owner privately. He responded that most people like that ! I yold him nobody likes to get cut. He told me next time tell her not to do it that hard. The technician that painted my toes could've done a better job he did not do a good job with even cutting my toe nails. Like come on isn't that nails basic 101. I recently got the powder gel manicure and a "regular" pedicure which they charged me $44.00 I went back 3 weeks later and they charged me $55.00 for the same service.
