Vibes here are on point and the owner is super nice and gave me their honey perilla and sugarcane imperata root herbal drinks to try. The honey perilla was more bitter and herby/teay while the sugarcane one was more sweet and date tasting. Their rose ginger milk pudding was super silky, soft, jiggly, and sweet with super strong gingery flaves and florally notes from the rose petals. My grandma loves taro and got their taro rice ball sago milk bowl and added red beans to it and loved it. I got their shrimp wontons which came with some veggies, sesame oil flave soup, and 8 meaty shrimp and pork wontons. I also got their mango purple rice snow ice which came with some ice cream, plenty of sweet fruity soft mangos, and fun chewy purple sticky rice all on some super refreshing milky perfectly sweet shaved snow. I came here specifically to try their ginger milk pudding and thought it was fun and tasty. The dessert was literally made to order right in front of you. The server pours the hot milk into the ginger juice and you wait for it to set (there is a timer). It's silky, super gingery, and not too sweet. The menu consists of mostly sweet dessert soups with some fruity variations. The inside is spacious and comfortable. It is a sit down restaurant where you order with a QR code. This place just opened so we decided to try it out, being that there is a shortage of good Chinese dessert places in SGV. We have to scan a QR code to get in line, but the wait wasn't too long and there's another QR code on the table for ordering. We tried the Peach Gum Supreme Fresh Milk, with coconut milk on the side and it tasted great maybe a little rich. Also the Traditional Ginger Milk Curd was fun because it's prepared at the table when milk is poured into the bowl and there is a small 3 minute hourglass for timing. After 3 minutes the curd came out perfect, light and gingery. The space is relatively large with lots of tables and an airy light white/brown decor. Best Cantonese dessert restaurant in Southern California hands down. Their glutinous rice dumplings in grass jelly is to die for! Incredible. This was my first time having desserts like this and everything was delicious. I went after 9 and there was a wait, but there is a lot of seating inside. I stopped by around 8:30 PM and there were still plenty of seats, but after 9 PM, the place really started to fill up! All the desserts we got were very plain. Like wth?? It was like blending/smashing fresh taro and just putting it in a bowl with sago and yam balls...they didn't even bother to put any other efforts into the desserts. No special honey or special milk to make it unique. The ginger curd was nicely presented. I thought it would be good. However, it was pretty watery. We were advised to wait for 3 minutes, which we did. Didn't help much. Only the ginger flavor was noticeable...again, nothing special. I like the interior remodel of the place and the small hint of Chinese details. I was lowkey disappointed that they were sold out of the chicken wings. The sausages were ok, maybe a bit too oily for me and the dessert I got was good. The ginger pudding was good too but was not my choice of selection. At least it hardened into a pudding. I had a bad experience when I was in Shanghai where it didn't harden twice after being returned. Was excited to try this place out. Came in and ordered on the kiosk for to go. I ordered two milk custards. 40 minutes later and several orders after me getting their orders first was more than enough to make me annoyed after giving them the benefit of the doubt initially. After asking several different workers about the status, one of them finally came out after a bit and said we're actually out of the milk custard that's why it's taking so long. Huhh?? It took you 40 minutes to tell me that my order's out? They told me they had 1 order available to eat there if I wanted to enjoy it there. The whole point of to go was so I could take it home to enjoy. I asked if they could just pack it to go then. They told me no and to choose a different dessert instead.
