I had been seeing pictures of Patisserie Too all over my feed and finally made a trip to see what the hype was about. Let me start by saying this place is absolutely Instagram-worthy. Every dessert in the case looks like a tiny masterpiece. You can really see the care and detail that went into creating them, which is so impressive. The cafe itself is bright, cute, and has a really nice ambiance. It feels like a perfect little spot for a date, to be honest. A huge practical plus is the parking situation, which is easy with plenty of street spots and a lot nearby. Now, I feel a little weird saying this because the presentation is a full 10/10, but the taste just didn't match up for me. I tried a couple of their most popular items, and while they were okay, they were kind of bland? The flavors weren't as bold or memorable as I was hoping, and some textures were a bit off. It was a bit of a letdown after how stunning everything looked. My experience was just okay, so I'm landing at 3 stars. The staff was nice, the place is charming, and I wouldn't say no to coming back with a friend to try a different pastry and a coffee. But if you're going purely for an incredible flavor experience, you might leave wanting a bit more. It's a feast for the eyes, for sure. I plan to come back to give this one more try.

Less than $10 each so better than others but still moreso a fun cute treat - Mango: mango mousse w mango puree cake base and matcha chocolate shell (8/10) - Strawberry: whipped cream with strawberry puree and cake base (7.8/10) - Garlic bird: very neutral flavors of green grape, jasmine, and taro. But adorable (7/10)

Fancy little pastries here, some with Chinese themes

This is my first time at their new location. In my opinion, it's much better than the previous one located near the San Gabriel Mission area. The other place had a lot of wasted space. This new spot is located on Main Street, a bustling area of Alhambra. It's brighter inside, clean with a few tables. They still carry many of their very pretty petite cakes, and they're definitely photo worthy. For me, I still get my usual box of their delicious, creamy Portuguese egg tarts. The crust is m flaky, the filling is soft and warm and the whole thing is delicious with a buttery taste . Even after a day, a couple of minutes in the toaster oven, these are still great. I tried their cakes before, and although they're very nice to look at, I still come back for their egg tarts.

Ordered their Portuguese egg tarts online a few days in advance before my party! The egg tarts were delicious and were only $1 each. In this economy? Insane! Oh and did I mention that the best part about it was that it tasted delicious? Not too sweet and crust is light. Service was excellent. I was in and out of there in less than a minute. There is some seating outside the store. I found street parking to the right of the store. Would highly recommend and will be returning!

They've now moved to a new location in Alhambra on Main Street!! Still as casual as prior spot, and as many options for mini sweets and treats, and they have some limited seating inside. The parking is a shared lot in the back (which can get busy during rush hours). Still love the Portuguese egg tart deals. This new location has self service stations to order but you still have to get in line to pick up the order -- so it's a bit of a hassle as you'd think this makes it faster!

Girl didn't wear gloves and pierced my cake with her nails.... didn't notice till I removed my items from the bag.

Street parking only in nearby parking lots and within walking distance. Not sure why people keep comparing this to Tu Cha. Yes, the cakes are vibrant in color, but the cakes are mostly mousse filled with jelly. The complexity of flavors is not there. Does it taste good ? Yes, but nothing to rave about or make me want them again. However, I think their star are the egg tarts. My favorite was the caramel tart and egg tart. Both flavorful and very flakey. I would go back for these. Only complaint is the girl grabbing the cakes did not use gloves and her nail dug into my cake...gross. please wear gloves when handling food...its quite literally part of basic food handling safety. Check your cakes before leaving the store so this doesn't happen to you. Overall, 3.5 stars.

Patisserie Too in Alhambra serves some of the most beautiful and delicious pastries I've ever had! Every dessert looks like a work of art, but they all taste just as amazing as they look. A standout for me was their huge strawberry mousse pastry! It was absolutely humongous yet incredibly light, airy, and not overly sweet. The adorable Corgi cake is another must-try, featuring a smooth, refreshing mango mousse flavor. The panda cakes are also just as good! The grizzly bear has a tiramisu flavor, while the panda is a cheesecake-like texture with a nice raspberry filling. Don't leave without grabbing their fresh egg tart! They are flaky, buttery, perfectly custardy, and an unbeatable deal at just $0.99 each. In addition, their tiramisu tarts have the perfect balance of bold coffee and cocoa. Patisserie Too is definitely worth the visit! We ordered the: King Panda Grizzly Bear Strawberry cake Corgi Tiramisu and Portugese eggtarts

I love egg tarts, so the $0.95 Portuguese egg tarts definitely got me. Before visiting, I read that they had a limit of the # of egg tarts you can purchase, but the workers told me that there is no longer a limit. I got a box of the Portuguese egg tarts and they certainly hit the spot. It was flakey and buttery and the custard was perfect. If you're looking for some Portuguese egg tarts while in Alhambra, definitely pay this spot a visit!

I came in the morning a little after they had just opened to grab some pastries for my birthday party that I wanted to share with my friends that will be coming. I heard about this patisserie through referral and was excited when I saw the options and affordability they currently offer for their soft opening! Upon arriving, there was about 3 parties ahead of me and the entire bakery filled the air with smell of egg tarts and various pastries. I was just in heaven at that moment. I was immediately asked if I needed help, but of course I didn't know where to start so it took me awhile until I had to decide. I ended up ordering 10 of their Portuguese egg tart, 3 of their cheese tarts, and 3 of their coconut tart. Portuguese egg tart - 5/5 there seemed to be some differences between the ones in the baking paper vs the tin one with their texture, but overall it was creamy, eggy, and I want to say the tin one was flakier and crunchier than the baking paper ones but still very delicious. For $0.95/ea, that's such a steal! Cheese tarts - 4.5/5 it was very rich and creamy. There was some minor graininess to it, but nothing horrible. There was a hint of lemon which added lightness and acidity to the tart. This one was $1.75/ea Coconut tart - 3/5 Overall I thought there should've been something to compliment the coconut, but it was a bit overwhelming to me. Texture is fine, but I feel it should have another flavor to balance the entire tart. I do want to come back and try the other pastries and what they have to offer. Everything there looked divine and so cute! My total for everything was under $30 and well worth for a small party or potluck you may be attending.

I recently saw all of the cute photos of Patisserie Too from my Yelp friend Ian A. and I knew my niece would enjoy the cuteness. Patisserie Too is located down in Main Street in Alhambra. There are public parking structures or street parking down in this area. We parked in a public structure a few blocks away and walked over. We got really lucky with timing because there was no line when we got here but it got busy soon after. They have a cute selection of little cakes and some pastries. For the cakes, my niece and I made our decision based on what was visually more unique compared to other things we've seen. We got the Baby Shark ($7.75), Garlic Bird ($8.75), and King Panda ($8.75). That was a lot of treats already, but we also got the Portuguese Egg Tart ($0.99/each). Service was nothing memorable. They have 3 small tables inside a I think 2 outside. Not much seating, so I'm really glad we got first dibs at a table before it was busy. When we sat down, we arranged our cakes for photos. These cakes were definitely made with molds. They are super cute and unique molds. The garlic bird was the best tasting combination and texture. The baby shark was already dripping blue sweat when it was served to us. The mousse was a little off. Halfway through eating there was the chocolate cake base that was strangely only in half of the cake. The panda was probably the worst and we didn't care to finish it. The mouse was strange in texture and the filling definitely had too much gelatin because it was rubbery. Cute but the technical execution was lacking for my preference. The egg tart was also pretty good. Not as flakey as I like it to be but it was an inexpensive treat so I wouldn't mind getting it again. Definitely a cute spot to take friends and family who enjoy cute treats. Not sure if I come here frequently myself, but it does bring a visual wow factor.

Always wanted to try this bakery out after hearing about their $0.99 Portuguese egg tarts, so I stopped by when I was in the area! They do not have their own parking lot, but there is free street parking + other free parking lots around, so I had to walk a short distance there. When I came inside, I was greeted by two employees. The interior was clean and cute, but there's no seating, so definitely a grab-and-go spot. Although I mainly came for the Portuguese egg tarts, I also wanted to try their other offerings. I ended up ordering 3 Portuguese egg tarts ($0.99 each), 1 caramel croissant egg tart ($1.75), 1 cheese tart ($1.75), and 1 coconut tart ($1.75) for my family and I to try. Everything was pretty affordable and looked so delicious! Out of everything we got, the Portuguese egg tart was the best. The egg custard was reminiscent of egg tarts you get at dim sum (which is a positive imo), and the crust was flaky! It was super yummy. Second best was coconut tart: the coconut filling was tasty with a nice flaky crust (although less flaky than the Portuguese). The cheese tart and caramel croissant tart were fine but nothing special. Surprisingly, I thought the caramel croissant tart wasn't as good as the Portuguese egg tarts. Overall though, super solid pastries especially given the price! Who doesn't love $0.99 egg tarts? I would definitely visit again just for the Portuguese egg tarts, and I highly recommend trying Patisserie Too!

Patisserie Too has some desserts that are too cute to eat--and the Corgi mousse cake is definitely one of them. I almost felt guilty digging into it! Beyond the adorable presentation, it was light, creamy, and wonderfully balanced. The mango flavor came through nicely without being overpowering, and it wasn't overly sweet, which is probably one of the highest compliments from an Asian perspective. I also picked up a few Portuguese egg tarts (unfortunately forgot to take photos before they disappeared), and they were fantastic as well. The flaky pastry and rich custard filling made them an easy favorite. It's the kind of item that's consistently good every time you visit. Between the beautiful presentation and the quality of the desserts, Patisserie Too continues to be one of my go-to spots whenever I'm craving something sweet. Highly recommended!

I loved the coconut tart the most. Every single tart here is very affordable here, ranging from $0.95 to $2. The cheapest and simplest one is the Portuguese egg tart and the more fancy ones are either $1.75 or $2. I tried all of them: Portuguese egg tart, cheese tart, caramel croissant tart, tiramisu tart, berry tart, and coconut tart (my favorite). We also got the salted egg yolk croissant for only $1 which is a steal although I wish it was a tad bit sweeter to balance out the salt. It was a smooth process to go in and buy. They also have a variety of specialty desserts that are in the $8 price range if you want something more extravagant. I tried the King Panda which was filled with cream cheese mousse. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, but more of the latter. We went on a Saturday and it was pretty packed but we managed to snag a seat.

As the name of the bakery implies, it's "Perfectly Sweet"…read more I'm generally a bit more wary of purchasing baked goods from non-Asian bakeries since they tend to be sweeter than what my palate likes, but not here! The hours are a bit limited, but I managed to make it in time to grab some pre-made baked goods to go. I got a bag of coconut macaroons, bag of several chocolate chip cookies, 2 red velvet cookies, a baked dog cookie biscuit, and a cute Keroppi sugar cookie. Most of these ended up being gifts, but I did enjoy one of the red velvet cookies and for an already sweet flavor profile with white chocolate chips in it, I was already fearing the worse, but went perfect with a glass of milk. The edges were nicely crisped by the baking too. Delicious. Love that they had a stock of cute, pre-decorated cookies available as well (some Sanrio characters, animals, etc.) They also list all the ingredients used in each of the baked goods that they have prepackaged, which is nice. While I was there lots of people came in. I used to bring my son years ago. My selection today was a small matcha with strawberries on top. It's also filled with a light, soft cream. DELICIOUS! I arrived at Old Ferry Donut (San Gabriel) on a Wednesday (around 3:42PM). Parking is simple. There's a competitive customer parking lot. And there's a city public parking lot about a two minute walk away. Staff is very friendly, professional, and welcoming. Staff maintained a bright smile throughout my visit. Staff immediately helped me. Customers can order at the self-service kiosk or counter; however, the kiosk felt very dated & the prices on the kiosk felt less transparent. I recommend just ordering at the counter. There's no penalty for using card at this donut establishment. As mentioned, I love the Tiramisu Donut ($4.95). It's not too sweet; rather, it all felt balanced. However, this is a VERY messy donut; I recommend eating this donut with a fork and knife. The powder fall everywhere, and your clothes can quickly get stained with chocolate powder. Still, it's a delicious pastry. On ambiance, Old Ferry Donut (San Gabriel) is comfortable. This business is more reminiscent of a cafe than a typical donut shop. There's customer internet with password; details on the counter. There's a gender neutral restroom. And there's an electrical outlet & outlet adaptor for devices. The location is fairly small; there's one interior table and one small counter. Fortunately, this place felt airy and well-ventilated.
