Ice cream, what's not to love?! I got the coffee "oreo" and found the taste and grainy texture so off-putting that I threw my $7 scoop of ice cream straight in the trash. My husband got the special sundae, he said it was okay but he would never get it again. My 7yo got a cookies and cream milkshake and didn't finish a small because it was "too oaty" (I tried it and she was right, it also wasn't sweet enough). The total for a scoop in a waffle cone, a small shake, and a small sundae was $28. Yikes. While I knew this place was "plant based" and gluten free, I didn't expect it to taste that way. I thought they would lean into coconut/fruity flavors which unfortunately wasn't the case. Although *I* didn't enjoy anything here, I'm happy that vegan/GF people seem to love it and I'm glad it's available for them! read more

It unfortunately didn't taste fresh. Consistency full of ice crystals and not great taste. It seemed like it was freezer burned. Spent a lot of money and we ended up throwing away unfortunately bc we didn't like it. Super disappointing as I was excited to be able to eat a waffle cone as a person with celiac. The owner here is SO kind and SO passionate about his business, his wife has a bunch of food sensitivities and that's what drove the idea for this business. All of the toppings and sauces are GF as well. I got the reopening special flavor chocolate cherry chunk on the house made GF waffle cone. Ok ok ok - got my nails done across the street and realized there's a new ice cream shop in town. Sweet Izzy ! While at first I was debating, I couldn't hold my sweet tooth. Came in and was quickly greeted, then given suggestions based on my preferences. The best part - vegan, soy free, dairy free! My goodness was it the best decision. The place was clean and very chill; love the pink. flavors: they have got your scoopable flavors and soft serve in chocolate and vanilla. In these flavors you can add any of their toppings. Finally got to check out Sweet Izzy and I'm so glad! The atmosphere is cute and pink. Sweet Izzy specifically sells vegan, gluten free, and soy free ice cream treats. The whole store is very allergen friendly. As someone who is nondairy, I'm happy this spot exists. I ordered a vanilla soft serve with chocolate dip in a cone. Great flavor and texture of soft serve- very similar to dairy ice cream. What I didn't realize from social media, is that Sweet Izzy has hard serve ice cream too. My partner tried Oreo cold brew in a cone with chocolate sprinkles. The cones were crispy with a vanilla aroma. You wouldn't know it was gluten free. I was impressed and would come back here. Cold brew was not available when we visited, but looks like they had some taps ready! read more

1,000/10. JUST GO! So I am a recently diagnosed celiac and am having a hell of a time navigating the complexities of my gluten allergy. Sweet Izzy's made me down right emotional. It was the first place I have come across in 6 months where I didn't get sick or feel afraid of what I was putting in my body. I was able to enjoy food again and its mere existence gave me hope that not all is lost. The girl working the counter was so sweet and attentive and has great recommendations. To those wondering, just as delicious as the real thing, if I hadn't mentioned it was allergy friendly I don't think anyone would have been the wiser. Truly that good! So super excited to find a GF vegan ice cream shop!!! They have so many options it was hard for me to choose. Even though I live almost an hour away I will definitely go back to try something else. I had the brownie sundae and loved it! Definitely a sweet treat but not too sweet so it was much more enjoyable for me. My daughters said they prefer this ice cream over regular. My 11yr old said she loved the caramel. The service was excellent. Both servers took the time to make sure the items were made correctly. For a Tuesday night they had a good amount of people coming in- some regulars and some new customers like us. Would love to see more seating, but I know space is a challenge in that area. read more

Amazing ice cream and experience! I can't speak highly enough about this cute ice cream shop. My husband and I are gluten free, so we were stoked to try this place, knowing that they cater to people with food allergies. When we go out for ice cream our selection is immediately limited to what we are able to have, but not here! Yay! We could pick anything we wanted on the menu, including the waffle cones, which were delicious! It's been years since I had a waffle cone. I chose a blueberry cheesecake crumble ice cream and now I'm hooked! The owner, Mike is super friendly and made our ice cream experience so fun, he let us taste some of their many delicious flavors. Sweet Izzy is a very unique ice cream spot tailored to the dietary restricted individual. As someone who has struggled with dietary restrictions in the past, I think this is incredible and definitely deserves a spot in the market. The interior is very cute with merchandise and charming, trendy decor all around. When it comes to staff, they are EXTREMELY friendly, almost overwhelmingly. And while they are more than accommodating to help you find a flavor, it was highly overstimulating and unexpected. The ice cream itself was really hit or miss flavor wise and while I do understand is it much harder to replicate while using non-dairy products (everything is coconut based), some were pretty bad (in our opinion cake batter was not good). Some were great such as the strawberry where you could barely taste the coconut. The price point is pretty steep, unexpectedly so with one scoop clocking in around $7. I recommend going here if you are up for a social experience and looking for a dietary friendly spot. read more
