But the quality speaks volumes. I love that there are such a range of flavors and that you can get some of them unsweetened - I'm personally hooked on the golden matcha (which has turmeric.) The space is very pleasant. I love the seating and the plants make it feel homey. I come here to detox from a bad day or deep focus on work and it always does the trick. There are so many thoughtful touches everywhere in here - the plants for sale with hand written care instructions, the fresh bagels, the fresh homemade syrups. The service is somewhat bare minimum, but the baristas are knowledgeable and everything else is so solid that I truly don't care. Couldn't love this place more.

It's decorated very cute with a few instagramable moments if your into that. There is a bunch of seating inside and outside. I had some questions about the menu since it was my first time going here. I asked which drinks were on the sweeter side. She was nice. I ordered two drinks to see what I might like for future. I ordered the Spanish iced latte and the caramel iced latte on her recommendation. And then I ordered two different matcha drinks for my niece. My total was about $31 for 4 small drinks. They are a little on the pricier side. They have so much ice that after a few sips our drinks were done. I also had to go back because it was not sweet at all and ask for more flavor. Both of them were lacking flavor to me. I did go back in and the girl was very accommodating and quickly added more flavor. It was better after that. Four of us went, and 6 drinks later.... We thought it was just ok and a little on the expensive side. Not sure if I would go back because it's a little drive for me and wasn't worth it to me. If I'm in the area and really really want a coffee, maybe.

Ambiance: This cafe/bakery has a cute warm welcoming atmosphere, it isn't too small or cramped. The cute hedgehog theme runs throughout and it's so charming. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available once you've picked the pastries and drinks you like. Their days of operations and hours are not ideal at best and looking on their instagram, they close for holidays or need extra days of prep once in a while so check there before you come in. Food: I mean just look at the other reviews...they speak for themselves. Everything is on a first come first serve basis so do keep that in mind because of their limited batches per week. We have gotten a matcha croissant, pistachio croissant (2nd best), chocolate croissant, espresso croissant (1st best), some chocolate filled cream pastry, and have never been let down. The quality is always there and does not disappoint. Service: All of the workers are extremely friendly and helpful in making your selection. Overall: Le Hérisson is a charming warm cafe and bakery that stands out for both its quality pastries and its cozy cute atmosphere. While the limited hours and first come first serve availability can make planning a visit tricky, the experience once you're there feels well worth it. The pastries are consistently high quality and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The overall vibe makes it an enjoyable spot to slow down and treat yourself.

Within ten seconds of walking in, I was greeted by Ama, who set the tone for the whole visit. She was warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout. She even let me sample different gelato flavors and suggested some great dishes to try on my next visit. That kind of thoughtfulness goes a long way. The affogato here is on another level. Most places serve it in a paper cup where the espresso and gelato just blend into a mushy mess. Not here. Carrara's presents it beautifully on a stone tray, with a proper espresso cup and a transparent glass so you can actually see the layers of gelato and espresso. And Ama personally poured the espresso tableside, which really topped off the whole experience. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Some of the flavors were really delicious. And some of them needed a little tweaking with the recipe I felt. My family and my neighbors also felt the same. Some were really good and some of them just needed a little work. I had read some of the reviews before going and I'm so glad I did. The hours are all over the place. It's not a place you can just pop in even if you know the hours listed on Yelp. If they sell out they will be closed. I would definitely call or message before just driving over. I would have been upset if I drove all the way over and they were closed. For the flavors, the banana cream was one of my favorites. I liked the white chocolate raspberry and the salted caramel. The pumpkin spiced donut sounded amazing but I was disappointed. It lacked flavor. The cookie dough I didn't love either. If I were having a party or a little gathering, these would make an awesome presentation for your guests. I would only want to get the flavors I tried and loved though. And I wish the hours posted were consistent and they were open the hours posted.

Hours vary as they're only open until they sell out of various flavors or cheesecake. Service was friendly and the lady answered all my questions. They sell sample packs with small cheesecake bites, or a big $15 piece of cheesecake, which though it may look like 1 serving, most definitely is not. My wife and I both dug into a lemon cheesecake topped with a tasty lemon bar and were full before we could finish it. I'm a lemon bar fan so I stole the most of the lemon bar. Even without the bar on top, the lemon glaze gives it a nice lemon flavor while the cheesecake itself is light yet rich in flavor. That's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating.
