I also ordered a bagel with cream cheese, which they offered to toast for me. The food came out pretty quickly and the person taking my order was pretty patient with me taking my time to look at their menu. The ambiance was nice too - it seems like a cozy enough place for people to hang out and I even saw someone working on their laptop for awhile. I will say the foods looked good but seemed a little pricey for the service size, so I avoided ordering anything else this time. Might check them out in the future.

Anywho, I came on a Saturday around noon time and it wasn't packed but there were some people inside sitting down. Obviously there's a lot of greenery and feels like a small oasis. If you want to come in to read a book or do work then this would be such an ideal spot especially if you want to feel like you're outside. I decided to get the iced horchata latte with cardamom. Initially I was going to get that with soy milk but came out a little over $10!! lol wow I wasn't going to pay that much for a coffee. Alternative milk is $1 more and to add a spice is $.75 so I decided to stay w the cardamom since I love cardamom and don't come across that spice at coffee shops much but I don't know if their selection of spices is to charge more. I found the shop to be overpriced for an average tasting latte. It wasn't bad but it was also nothing crazily amazing and I've had better and it does not cost $10. The parking is easy since it's at the Simi Town Center which sadly not a lot is opened there and it's pretty dead so you'll find enough parking.

If you go in summer do not skip the Japanese ice, The ice is flown in from Japan, and I had the strawberry. It was absolutely delicious--light, delicate, and incredibly refreshing. It's a special seasonal treat you won't want to miss. I also took a picture of the Matcha ice. I purchased the strawberry ganache pastry and also got a Matcha ice drink to go on ice. Everything was absolutely phenomenal. I also always appreciate a self-serve water station that's so pretty and maintained. Every aspect of Le Hérisson is so elevated, beautiful, and thoughtfully curated. My only little suggestion would be to consider putting the more delicate pastries, like the raspberry ganache I ordered, in a small box rather than a paper bag. Something this beautiful deserves to arrive looking just as beautiful--and mine unfortunately got a little smooshed on the takeout What an amazing hidden treasure to have right here in Simi Valley. I honestly don't know why I waited so long because wow everything was delicious. The flavors were bold, rich, and absolutely delightful. I ordered the Popeye, a fresh-baked puff pastry with egg, bacon, spinach, and Parmesan cheese, along with the Caprese Danish, which was my absolute favorite! It reminded me of a margherita pizza, and I will definitely be ordering it again. For my drink, I got the Iced Chocolate Blend, and the little girl in me was screaming with excitement it was so rich and delicious, almost like a lightly thick chocolate malt. It definitely did not disappoint! The restaurant itself is super cute, with both indoor and outdoor seating available and awesome music playing throughout the café, which creates such a fun and lively atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and worked hard to keep up with the morning crowd, all while greeting everyone with a smile. One suggestion: Le Harisson should showcase their drinks more because the Iced Chocolate Blend deserves way more attention. Highly recommend! They also have a great variety Matcha and Japanese Teas MUST TRY!

I've been to Italy multiple times and grew up around Italian baking, and this is hands down the best frittelle I've ever tasted. Light, golden, and filled with vanilla custard, then finished with a dusting of powdered sugar, it was truly unforgettable. This is a real Italian bakery, and once you step inside, the space completely opens up--high ceilings, a beautiful interior, and a hidden, speakeasy feel you'd never expect from the street. The young man with blonde hair who helped me was so kind, knowledgeable, and clearly proud of the bakery. It made the whole experience even better. The latte was perfectly done as well. Within ten seconds of walking in, I was greeted by Ama, who set the tone for the whole visit. She was warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout. She even let me sample different gelato flavors and suggested some great dishes to try on my next visit. That kind of thoughtfulness goes a long way. The affogato here is on another level. Most places serve it in a paper cup where the espresso and gelato just blend into a mushy mess. Not here. Carrara's presents it beautifully on a stone tray, with a proper espresso cup and a transparent glass so you can actually see the layers of gelato and espresso. And Ama personally poured the espresso tableside, which really topped off the whole experience. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

I went inside and I am a coffee and chocolate lover so I was in awe when I came inside. And of course I had to get my chocolate treat since I didn't have any at home. The shop has this warm, cozy vibe to it. There's seating outside but also all the way in the back. There's an expresso bar in the back and a cute vintage looking set up where you can sit down and enjoy your coffee and treat. I got some chocolate barks (dark chocolate almond bark, milk chocolate almond bark, sugar free milk chocolate almond bark) and the sugar free peanut butter cup and the dark chocolate tiramisu truffle which the girl said is their most popular item. I also got the chocolate chip cookie and omg! Really enjoyed it! It wasn't hard or too soft. It was crispy enough and if you do like it on the softer side, just a little bit in the microwave and it'll come out just right. It tasted like it just came out from the oven. I didn't get coffee because it was too late in the day but I happen to be around the next day and stopped by to get a latte! Although they dont have their flavored lattes on the menu they do have different ones you just gotta ask. I got the iced hazelnut latte which was so good, not a lot of ice, and only $4.50 for a 16oz! I'm excited to know where it is and can't wait to come back! There's a lot of parking since it's in the big shopping center right next to Sprouts.

The music is extremely loud--honestly overwhelming--especially if you're there with kids. It made it really hard to enjoy any kind of conversation with my family, and even harder to communicate with the employees (I could barely hear them, and they struggled to hear us too). The space itself is big, with lots of booths and chairs, which is nice--but surprisingly, there's no bathroom at all. We had to walk to Vallarta twice with our kids, which was super inconvenient. As for the food, we ordered three mangonadas--they were good, but not spicy at all if that's what you're expecting. My son didn't really like his vanilla ice cream, but my other son loved his Oreo blue popsicle. Overall, I'm giving a low score mainly because of the uncomfortable noise level. It really takes away from the experience when you can't talk to your company or properly interact with staff. I'd consider coming back if the volume was turned way down.
